Review: this movie to me, was a bore. yes, special effects, but not more then we have seen in starwars or the ex men. bottom line, the story was weak as boring. bored of stop action photo and martial arts. also mr smith, is no longer so terrifying, and morphous is more of a person and less obscure then in the firstbottom line it is overated, and bad story line

Review: Hey, it's Anthony Zerbe! Nice to see this veteran of stage and screen getting a look in as he has a way with a line. In the TV series 'Harry O', he once reprimanded Harry for chucking a villain off a bridge. "I could have you arrested for that". "What for?" Says Harry. "Polluting coastal waters!" I guess you had to be there. Nice also, that the brothers W took time out to peak at a couple's domestic dispute in a suburb of Zion. "Here I am at home all day cleaning house while your out all hours gallivanting with the lads in the Nautilaus. If you think your getting any sheet action tonight, you can stand there and whistle dixie, my friend. Oh, and your suppers in the cyberdog!" Marvelous, innit? You're out saving the world all day and all you get is grief from the old lady and no nookie. Bet this sort of thing never happened to Captain Nemo. Morpheus's speech on the mount certainly had me convinced and I liked the dodgy French geezer, too. Hope they bring him back for the sequel. He only needs to breath garlic and Neo will be in another coma.

Summary: Trinity's matrix
Review: I just watched "Matrix reloaded", and enjoyed it very much. I just couldn't see it as a plain sequel to the first "Matrix". In my opinion, "Matrix reloaded" and "Matrix" are the same movie, separated in two parts for screen purposes. I don't know if the Wachowski brothers initially intented to make only one Matrix movie, but if they did, they made a great effort in creating the story of this second movie as if it was always their purpose to make a trilogy, even if "Reloaded" is very different from the first one. Of course, "Matrix reloaded" focuses more on the human side, while "Matrix" focused more on the machine/technology/inovation part of the story. Now we are able to view Zion and its inhabitants. Neo, Morpheus and Trinity loose that aura of "enlightened beings" they had in the first one, and we see them as humans. In fact, the whole matrix thing has lost the "inovation sense", and I'm sure there were less loose jaws in the assistance than there were back in 1999. But that is not the point. The point is that the whole story is very great. While the characters are more human now, they are closer to us. And, to balance that, the scenes inside the Matrix are amazing still. I remember almost being on my feet during the scene in the highway (one of the best made and best produced scenes ever). The best part of the movie is Carrie Ann Moss' Trinity. Sweet, beautiful, the kind of person everybody wants to have on their side, Trinity is the best character in the Matrix series. Trinity's very quiet and simple, yet her presence is strongly felt in every scene she's in. Like other famous movie trilogies, "Matrix reloaded" is darker, more complex and twisted than the first one, and may be the best of the series. Grade 9.2/10

Summary: It's not the original
Review: In a word it sucks. That was the review my wife gave this movie. She was reallly looking forward to seeing Matrix Reloaded. We went on opening Saturday to a theater with no more than 20 patrons. We had expected lines after viewing the movie we could see why there were no lines. I can't argue with my wifes review since I slept through the first 40 minutes of the movie. What finally woke me was the loud car crashes in the freeway scene. The movie was just overdone with special effects without any stroy line. Save your money and rent it if you must.

Summary: Reloaded-closer to the Matrix genera than Matrix itself
Review: I was so prepared for Reloaded to flop that I was almost disappointed when I was wasn't.
I was convinced that Matrix could never have adequate sequel for two glaring reasons:
Number One: Neo hit God-Mode in Matrix and how can you have suspense with God on your side?
Number Two: (And just as important) Matrix was predominately about theology, religion, and mystery. I said they already solved the mystery in Matrix how can there be any mystery left for Reloaded?
To complicate things: the first half hour of Reloaded was horribly scripted and poorly edited.
And even after all that: Reloaded still rises far above the ranks of an ordinary sequel and even farther above my expectations; instead of simply extending the action and special effects, Reloaded takes the story-line of Matrix to a whole new dimension without messing up Matrix old story-line or destroying any of their characters. This is a literary master piece of possibly greater proportions than the original Matrix. You can no longer say you've seen the Matrix without seeing this.

Summary: "RELOADED" philosophcally intense, pure sci-fi action bliss
Review: For what it's worth, it's hard to be truly and utterly disappointed by the long awaited, heavily anticipated, and much hyped next chapter in the MATRIX trilogy. However, upon viewing it the first time around, it's hard to even know what to think about RELOADED at all...But let's give it a go... First, I'd personally like to defend RELOADED's credibility. Upon its release, critics hammered and backlashed the film for being "too much", loose and unexplained plot lines are scattered about, philosophical quips seem to be going somewhere yet nowhere at once, as if the cybernetic wonderland of the Matrix suddenly became wonderless and more worrisome. The magic of discovery and awe onscreen is bereft making the Matrix saga the sad cliche and sappy predecesor of the original film. Maybe...But be you a Matrix fanatic, or a casual filmgoer, there's some important things to understand here... The narative thread that seems to be lacking in the second film was established in the first film. While RELOADED struggles in standing as autonomous film, remember, all the important characters, the settings, and motivations of these characters were established in the first film. To disregard them in anyway does RELOADED a trite injustice. Keep in mind, it's a trilogy also. Just as Morpheus warned Neo in the first film, taking the blue pill will "show you how deep the rabbit hole goes." The Wachowskis are doing just that. As was foreshadowed in the first film, the world of the Matrix is much more vast and colorful than what was shown in the first film. Finally, we see Zion, more gradiose cityscapes, and the very guts of the Matrix itself. A simple explanation is not enough for the Wachowskis, and the instruction manual for understanding the Matrix is almost presented verbatim in onscreen dialogue. To quote Neo, "Whoa". You may share simliar sentiments. Within the dialogue, the dusty corners of the Matrix are finally being swept out and revealed. For this reason, RELOADED is certainly worth a repeated viewing. Like you understood the MATRIX the first time you saw it, right? I didn't. If film truly is a visual artform, the Wachowskis are uncompromising in giving their audience an eye treat. The action sequences are hard to top, though the computer imagery, at times, is blatantly obvious. This aside, it's easy to see why the Matrix is the greatest film phenomenom since the original Star Wars. Ingrained in its powerful images is the subtext of the Wachowskis' philosophical goldmine. What is choice? Free will? Where is truth in a shifting reality? Past all the glitz and blitz of the Matrix, The Matrix is a classroom, your patience and attention is required if you want to graduate. The Wachowskis do not simply want to entertain, but to engage your mind in some serious philosophical thought. Are you blue on this one?
And so, nearly four years after the original MATRIX film, we're invited to jack back in for RELOADED. This summer, brush up on your MATRIX before the conclusion of the trilogy in REVOLUTIONS. (By the looks of the preview tacked on at the end of the credits, it looks hot.) It's worth it, and a second viewing is a must for the intellectually bold.

Review: I didn't like this movie that much. I almost fell asleep! LoL..anyways it's probably because I haven't watched the first one yet. I wanted to rent the first one but they ran out. Oh well..whenever I get a chance I'll watch it.

Summary: The Matrix Reloaded: A dissipointment
Review: I went into this movie like everyone else with high hopes. I expected cool action scenes, I expected a cool plot, I expected interesting characters, and interesting settings. I got one of the 4. The plot was very thin, espechily compared to the first movie. The plot was to find a man with keys. He seemed to have no point to the story until the end. He basically followed the characters until the end, when he was finally of some use. Scenes in Zion, and scenes with philosophy being discussed dragged and dragged. In the first part of the film, they are in Zion, which, in my opinion, resembled a steel prison. I don't see why they want to save it. Anyway, after a 10 minute rave, they leave Zion, and the action begins. And in Matrix Reloaded, when there's action, it's awesome. The fight with all the Agent Smiths is awesome; the freeway scene and the scene leading up to it is awesome. However, there are too few action scenes in the film until a certain point, and from there, it's non-stop action, which is bad. It's first not enough, than too much. Way too much. I began to get wary and tired as the movie reached it's climax, and the fights begin to seem repetative. Then, the ending happens, and I left the movie feeling tired rather than excited for the third Matrix movie. I saw the teaser trailer for the 3rd Matrix movie, and it looks very similar to Reloaded. Whether I will see it or not, I am not sure.

Summary: BLOW ON THE CARTRIDGE....THEN RELOAD
Review: Was it a good sequel...yes but, was it great no. Unlike X2 (which was better than X-Men), Reloaded did not fully push the cartridge all the way in. Don't get me wrong though, I did enjoy the movie but there were more things wrong with the movie than right. 1) The whole sex dance scene and constant "lust" between Neo and Trinity was really unnecessary. 2) The fight scenes seemed too choreographed and too cgi-ish. And 3) (which really isn't a biggie) the final climax was not that climactic. If you big Matrix fan you will really know why Neo was able to do what he did at the end. Three reasons, three stars. Lets hope Revolutions puts me in my place.

Summary: Not all its cracked up to be
Review: I liked the original matrix. That being said, this one pretty much [wasn't good]. I haven't seen such a combination of horrible dialouge with such amazing special effects in quite some time. The plot was good, but the dialouge is so incrediably horrible i found myslef lauging throughout the entire movie. Seriously it was bad. There were several scenes thrown into the movie that had absloutly no reason for being in, except for the directors to show off what they could do with a computer. This film also screams empire strikes back ripoff. Im still trying to figure out if they intentially ripped of the origional star wars on purpose or thought their plot was new. Either way, you shoud see this movie once, and only once to see what i am talking about, and to see that the hype about the movie is a complete load of [crap].
