Rating: Summary: Quirky, Irreverent , and a treasured Classic Review: From Kryten's infamous robo-crotch attachment (hint: it's a useful household appliance) to the wackiest bar NON-brawl this side of the solar system, seasons 3 and 4 of Red Dwarf will provide hours of fun and laughs for you and your favorite Martian. So kick off your shoes, grab yourself a lager and treat yourself to silly adventures of Rimmer, Lister, Cat, and Kryten.
Rating: Summary: There Should Be More Shows ABout Gnomes Review: I absolutely love this show, which originally aired on Nickelodeon. This series follows the adventures of David the Gnome and his fox, which he rides like a horse to meet his wide variety of gnome and other forest friends. My favorite episodes include "David the Gnome Gets Drunk off Dandelion Wine", "Phone Gnome", and "Marry Him?, I Hardly Gnome".
Rating: Summary: red dwarf Review: I love this! Ace Rimmer arives from another dimension, Kryten turns in to a human, a dangerous creature breaks in to red dwarf, Lister is forced to eat dog food, and red dwarf is allost sucked in to a white hole. The bonus features are great! Especialy the 'Backwards, Forwards'. This is one of the best DVDs I have EVER seen!
Rating: Summary: Best of the dwarfers Review: I stumbled upon this band of misfits 7 or so years ago on my local pbs, I've been hooked ever since. I bought the first two series, because, well, I had to. But here is where they shine. Kryten definitely finds himself, becoming a strong leading character. Lister and Rimmer really get into their characters, and their interactions are so much more developed. Another nice development is seen in the cat, where he plays less of an 'over the top' role. This all leads to some of the best seasons. This pack includes some of my favorite episodes: polymorph, backwards, justice, white hole... too many to mention.I would say that this purchase, along with 5 & 6 when they come out, are the series that the casual dwarfer would do best with.
Rating: Summary: YEA FINALY! Review: I've watche Red Dwarf my whole life (literaly since i was 8). And I've always been stuck with my duped from my aunt's recorded off PBS tapes. The diffrence in picture quality is amazing. I especially like the extra features. You can watch everyting from "smeg ups" to documentarys. each dvd has a diffrent documentry. And, if you're a real Red Dwarf freak, you can watch the episodes with comentarys by the actors. One thing I really like is that these DVDs have the option to view the extra features in an animated menu or a text menu. The first two DVDs only had an animated menu, which was quite frustrating to nagivate.

Rating: Summary: Good, but it's all downhill from here Review: In my opinion the change from the seasons 1 + 2 was not a good thing. Each season thereafter the series became more bloated and stale, and while seasons 3 and 4 still had life in them, they don't compare well. The cheesiness of the sets had nothing to do with the humor of the show, it was all based on dialogue anyway. Kyrten was a good character thereafter, no question, but basically he just replaced Hol in the four-way ensemble (five is a bit much for interplay, so Holly became a minor figure). By the third season the relationship between Lister and Rimmer had been pretty much beat to death, and that was the key to the show. That doesn't mean there aren't high points in future shows, several are very good and there are bits in all them that are priceless (cat taking a potty break on the backward planet). But all of the shows in the first two seasons were razor sharp. When undiscovered gems get popular, there's always an edge that gets lost, and this is no exception.
Rating: Summary: British humour at its best Review: Just as last year's release of seasons 1&2 left me wanting for 3&4, this year's release has left me drooling for 5&6. It's likely I'll explode before 7&8 ever hit stores. I've been a fan of Red Dwarf for literally as long as I can remember. At 22, I can remember watching the Boyz from the Dwarf and their antics when I was relatively young thanks to the wonders of PBS (and having to stay up late to wash dishes.) I think Chris Barrie as Rimmer was possibly my first love (though now my refined tastes prefer Danny-John Jules as Cat.) A must-buy for any self-respecting Anglophile.
Rating: Summary: A Smegging Cool Birthday Present Review: One of my first birthday presents to arrive this was a copy of the third and fourth seasons of Red Dwarf on DVD. Awwww yeah! I started watching Season Three with actor commentaries. It's hilarious! And of course, I was inspired once again to create a Red Dwarf T-shirt from the "Polymorph" episode featuring two hilarious phrases. Gonna have to order me a copy of that shirt sometime soon. Can't wait to re-watch the whole season soon. Meantime, I still gotta get the first two seasons, can't wait for seasons five and six, and Give Quiche a Chance!!!!
Rating: Summary: Funny stuff Review: Seasons 3 and 4 were great. With the exception of not enough Norman Lovett. Some great episodes here. I'd also argue that Red Dwarf does not really go "down-hill" from season 4.
