Summary: Godzilla's Finest
Review: This DVD is a must have for Godzilla vs Destroyer alone, the best in the series IMO. The reason this get's five stars is because GvsD is awesome and you get Godzilla vs Space Godzilla as well which isn't that bad of a G-Film either.

This movie is great if you have widescreen TV or not it's a shame that Tri-Star didn't release it's previous Double Godzilla DVD set like this.

I'm not going to tell you anything about the movies because many people already have, I am going to tell you to get this if you don't already have it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A great Godzilla film and a terrible one in an O.K. package
Review: Sony/TriStar does a better job on this double-feature disc of two of the 1990s Godzilla films than they did on the awful disc of "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah/Godzilla and Mothra: Battle for Earth." This time the films are in widescreen and stereo. Unfortunately, they are still dubbed (and very poorly, too), and the end credits are still chopped off, but I can at least recommend buying this disc for its improved visual and audio quality.

(In a side note, Sony/TriStar has just made available three of the recent Godzilla films in widescreen editions with 5.1 sound and a choice of English dub or Japanese with subtitles: "Godzilla vs. Megaguirus," "Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack," and "Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla." They may also release the two film on the this DVD in individual, deluxe packages, so you may want to wait a bit before deciding to pick up this disc.)

However, I can only recommend one film on this disc, the terrific "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah," which brings a conclusion to the 1990s 'Heisei' series of Godzilla films in an apocalyptic story that links back to the original 1954 "Godzilla." Godzilla's radioactive heart has started to melt down, a condition that threatens to destroy the entire planet. The military scrambles to find a way to prevent the end of the world, while psychic Miki tries to track down Godzilla's son, now a tough teen who looks like a half-sized Godzilla. And on top of all this, a new creature has suddenly appeared, born out of the weapon that killed the original Godzilla back in 1954: the mutating crustacean/dragon beastie Detoroyah. The action is plentiful, as are the effects, and the film just thunders along. It's everything you want in a Godzilla film. Godzilla Jr. facing the crab-leg version of Destoroyah is one of the great monster fights, the finale at the airport is brilliant, and the ending is heartbreaking. It's a great way to end the second Godzilla series. If this film stood on its own, I'd give it five stars, easily.

In fact, it's best that you don't think of this disc as a double-feature at all, but a single disc containing "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah," with "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" as a bonus feature. Because "SpaceGodzilla" is AWFUL. Made right before "Detoroyah" by a new director who came out of Japanese teen films, "SpaceGodzilla" is boring and utterly silly. Godzilla Jr. looks like Barney the dinosaur, SpaceGodzilla is a ridiculously lumbering thing, and the military's new super-robot, MOGUERA (based on a robot from the 1957 film "The Mysterians"), looks like some kid's transformer toy, only not as well constructed and with Woody Woodpecker's head. The plot is sloppy -- something about SpaceGodzilla imprisoning Godzilla Jr. while a conspiracy almost wrecks the anti-Godzilla team called G-force -- and the performers look bored. The big action sequences seem to go on forever while nothing happens. The finale is just Godzilla and SpaceGodzilla standing far away and roaring at each other, while the military fiddles endlessly with their useless machines. The special effects are awful and lazy as well. Not even Godzilla fans will be able to tolerate this film for long. On it's own, "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" is worth only one star, easily. So I'll have to average my rating out and give this package three stars.

I recommend this disc for "Godzilla vs. Destoroyah," which is great even in dubbed format. Watch the other film, sure, but think of it as a bonus not factored into the price. You'll feel better that way, and $16.99 is a pretty fair price for a good, widescreen, stereo Godzilla film. (But keep your fingers crossed for even better editions in the future.)

Summary: Go Go Godzilla
Review: If you like Godzilla these are pretty good movies, I highly recommend them and my triplet boys love them as well. I gave these four stars as far as Godzilla movies go, Space Godzilla is one of the better of the recent Godzilla films.

Summary: One of the Best Big-G Movies Around
Review: This is like 2 movies on 1 DVD, each movie is on ones side so I guess I have to split 9it in 2:

Godzilla vs Spacegodzilla:
There isnt alot of eye candy stuff to look at in here, except for the cute little version of Godzilla (little Godzilla) and the cool evil twin of Godzilla (Spacegodzilla), Spacegodzilla's Crystal's look so fake but his attitude is so demented and evil, very sadistic and sometimes...scary...? I really didnt like how this storys goes: G-Cells escaped into space and was sucked into a blackhole, creating Spacegodzilla, then he was spit out by a white...hole??! is there such a thing? and is heading twords earth to kill GOdzilla so he can rule that planet himself...ok soo the story isnt so fun, but it is fun to watc the King of Monsters battle against his Evil Twin. I RATE THIS 3/5

Godzilla vs Destroyah:
This is one of my most favorite Godzilla movies EVER! Godzilla is now facing one of his toughest foes...The Destroyah! the Destroyah is a mutation of the Oxygen Destroyer that killed the first Godzilla in 1954 and is now wrecking havoc on earth, luckily GOdzilla's power was boosted by the nuclear enrgy inside his heart, making him glow orange amking him a SUPER MONSTER...this is the Strongest and Biggest out of all the Godzillas in the series. Special FX are top notch and the Adult Destroyah is one mean looking monster compared to Biollante or Spacegodzilla. Near the end Godzilla's son was viciously attacked and critacaly wounded by Destroyah, Godzilla crys, and trys to reach his Dying Kin but then Destroyah heads face to face with the King of Monsters. They fought and Destroyah flys away, Godzilla reaches his son and trys to heal him with his red nuclear breath thing...but looks like its not enuff...Destroyah returns for another match against the Big-G!!! but With Godzilla's overpowering heat rays, Destroyah knows he cannot defeat Godzilla, and trys to fly away but the army finished off the great monster with there freezing rays. I wont give away the ending so buy it to see it yourself. Godzilla vs Destroyah is one of the best Godzilla movies, i rank it #2 best G Movie and the 1954 Godzilla the #1 and this movie is the big deal in this doubled feature and is also on of his Last movies so check out, i highly reccomend it! I RATE THIS: 5/5

Summary: Great DVD for any Godzilla fan
Review: These are awsome movies. Spacegodzilla is an awsome villain and definately saves the otherwise mediocre film. Destroyah, even though he looks awsome, is really kind of ... in his last form, all godzilla has to do is look at him to make him squirt blood all over everything. Overall Godzilla vs. Destroyah is the better movie, but they really should have made Destroyah tougher to beat. Definately get this DVD even if you only remotely like Japanese giant monsters.

Summary: I LOVE THIS MOVIE!
Review: This movie was much better than Spacegodzilla vs. Godzilla. In this movie godzilla's flames are much more impressive, it's like red fire in a darker red fire spiral. It was sad when godzilla died but at least godzilla jr. took his place as king of the monsters(godzilla jr. absorbed his energy). I liked the part when the Super X III was trying to cool down godzilla. When he froze it looked cool and the freeze missiles were awesome! Destoroyah is my 2nd favorite character after Spacegodzilla. I liked destoroyah's horn mainly for the horn katana attack (I really loved it). Since I like fat things I thought it was nice toho made destoroyah fat. It was also sad godzilla jr. died(he was still growing up to be an adult!) but he absorbed has dad's energy and was revived. The beginning was pretty good with the king of the monsters running amok in Hong Kong (huh? I thought he was supposed to be in Tokyo!?). But I will always like Spacegodzilla better than destoroyah.

Summary: Spacegodzilla/Destroyer to fight Godzilla
Review: My 2 favorite Heisei Godzilla movies! I would of expected extras on this DVD, like on King Ghidora/Mothra 2(even though it only had trailers). But what else can I say. Most people hated Spacegodzilla and loved Destoyer (I mean the movies), but I just liked them both. Overall, the DVD itself is cool.

Summary: Usual Godzilla
Review: Story line is pretty good. The oxygen Destroyer is broght back in to play here.

Godzilla appears of the coast of Japan red hot(literally). Scientists find out that he will explode and blow up the earth with him. As if that isnt enough, a bunch of little scorpian things start killin cops and then they all mutate together to form one big ...scorpian that Godzilla now has to kill, along with the help of Junior. The ending is pretty cool but if you have not seen it then i won't say what happens except that it's somewhat sad.

Summary: An Action Packed......Tear Jerker? *SPOILERS*
Review: Yes, you read right folks - a tear jerker, but i will get to that later. This film really can't get much more exciting. Things start of Fast Paced as we have Godzilla in all his glory stinkin' up Tokyo (He has had a radiation overdose from Obsorbing Space Godzillas energy so i reccomend you view that one first, so he is burning with red/orange on his chest and legs) And the brilliant G-Center brains find out its a Radiation and Godzilla is heading to a Thermonuclear explosion (In latter terms, the end of the world). So they have to 'quietly' destroy Godzilla. They create and ozygen destryer - and later in this film this 'oxygen destryoer' goes nuts and turns into DESTROYAH (Destroyer is how to pronounce) And the G-Center gets to cool Godzilla off with the SX-III, and Godzilla goes underwater. This Destroyah is evolving to its Final 'Alien' form - and Godzilla comes outta the Sea again burnin up - So G-Force gets Godzilla and Destroyah to duke it out - hopin the oxygen destroyah will kill Godzilla. Godzilla temprature is rising rapidly, and soon after he 'kills' destroyah - his Dorsal Fins begin to melt. Then Destroyah comes back and tries to get Godzilla but godzilla iis now to 'HOT'. His termonuclear breath is hotter than hell - and Godzilla takes out Destroyah. Godzillas temp. reachers 1200 celcius - and the SX-III freezes him. His temprature goes down so Godzilla here is melting down with a temprature of 900 c so Armagendon is prevented. Slowly - Godzilla discinegrates :-(. This was supposedly the end of the Godzilla films forever - but it wasnt so i gave it 5 stars.
I LOVED THIS FILM. This was an exciting action filled flick. Unlike Godzilla vs Biollante, the action is fast and there seems to always be action going on. Be warned you really should keep tissue at handy- the final scene really is sad. *sniffsniff*. A great G flick though - get this one AND Godzilla vs Space Godzilla (this is kind of a continuity of Godzilla vs SpaceGodzilla) One of the best Godzilla films ever - EXCELLENT. Get it now! Click the friggin order button!

Summary: goodbye Big G.
Review: warning spoilers!!!!!!!...this is the movie in which Godzilla dies.Yes,it is sad.But of course,G-cells can regenerate,so G never really dies.Awesome version of Godzilla, and great enemy, the evil Destroyah."not even Destroyah can do anything against the power of Godzilla.WHAT A MONSTER!"That quote sums it all up.And don't cry little children,G-cells are indestructible and can regenerate indefinitely,so Godzilla ,like Dracula, can be killed, but never destroyed.
