Summary: You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll pray for death!
Review: MST3k does one of the worst movies ever made. I hope this movie was a joke when they made it because if they're serious about a nuclear hearing aid you need to be locked up in a place with padded walls. If you love MST3K get this movie because it's one of the classics!

Summary: Very funny! A must buy!
Review: This is one of the best Mystery Science Theatre 3000 movies I have seen, and I have seen quite a few. I recommend buying it right away!

Summary: Batgirl A-go-go!
Review: The evil villian Rat Fink desperately wants to steal a nuclear hearing aid (Yes, a nuclear hearing aid) that is being guarded by Batgirl. But how to accomplish such a feat? Seems like the only logical way is to hire a mad scientist and his Igor-like assistant, whose only weapon is a soup that forces people to go-go dance against their will. Remarkably they succeed and Batgirl is forced to channel a spirit that lapses in and out of Chinese. Eventually, Batgirl finds Rat Fink, who then splits himself into four Rat Finks and starts a good ol' fashioned hoe down! By the time this one's over, Tom Servo is screaming for it to end and Crow is begging Mike to kill him. It really is that bad. There's also a cool short about cheating (the one that's on the "Shorts" tape) that Mike and the bots imitate during the breaks. This isn't as good as "Manos" or "Red Zone Cuba," but it's a good pickup for anyone who is starting a collection.

Summary: A classic!!
Review: This has got to be one of the worst, if not The Worst, film that MST3K has ever done. Which makes it one the best MST3K episodes ever. Don't bother to follow the plot because there isn't one. It's all about Batwoman and her Batgirls and how much cleavage they can get away with. There's also a whole lotta dancing, a bad guy named Rat Fink, and idiot boy named Heathcliff, scenes stolen from the film "The Mole People" and Servo screaming "End!! Eeennnnddd!!" just before the end credits show up. This one is a keeper.

Summary: Camp classic; a hilarious triumph of low-budget filmmaking.
Review: An intentional send-up of B-movie thrillers, with every imaginable cliche: mad scientists, monsters, heroines in bathing suits foiling villains while dancing to '60s rock'n'roll. Above all, there is Batwoman herself: cool, self-possessed, and always on top of every critical situation. This film demonstrates what can be done on a shoestring budget so long as you don't take it seriously. We laughed, howled, and wept with merriment.

We write this review the morning after renting this video -- our first move today is to order our own copy. It's a keeper!

Summary: Where do they FIND this stuff??
Review: This is one of my favorite MST3000 episodes, a true feast for bad-movie fans. It features not one, but two bizarre films to be spoofed. The first, an oh-so-earnest fifties-era industrial black & white short on "cheating," contains some of the worst performances I have seen in a long time. The director tried to make his film look surreal and Bergmannesque, a delusion of grandeur that results in some very funny comments from the MST3K team. The robot interludes, typically the least funny parts of an episode, here play off the short and deliver some great comedic interplay.

The second film and main attraction, "The Wild World of Batwoman," is almost incomprehensibly bad. This is the kind of film that could only have been made in the 1960s. You keep asking yourself, was this intended to be hilariously weird, or was the director simply on a par with, say, Ed Wood? Batwoman herself looks ridiculous, with a lumpy frumpy shock of a haircut, a cheap black mask and a bat tattooed right above her pulchitrudinous cleavage. She bears no resemblance whatsoever to a DC comics character. Her "bat-girls," decked out in bikinis for most of the film, spend most of their time either go-go dancing or obsessively reciting chapter and verse of the arcane bat-regulations.

The director's obsession with food is worthy of a Jan Svankmajer film. In the beginning, the girls force a newbie to drink what is supposed to look like blood, later explaining that it is only a synthetic substitute. Later on, there is a plot about drugged soup that makes people dance compulsively. Some of the scenes are so bizarre (but politically incorrect) that they would have been funny even without the MST3K commments...a seance interrupted by a disembodied voice screaming in ersatz Chinese, or the villains donning disguises that look like something out of Yiddish theater.

One of the characters, who looks something like Martin Mull, sits motionless for about five minutes during an interminably stupid and boring scene. When we later discover his dark secret, which puts him on a par with Robin Williams in "One Hour Photo," the moment is so badly bungled that we can only sigh and go on to the next absurdity.

If you are a MST3K fan, this one is for you. If you are not, give it a try.

Summary: Who greenlighted a movie like this?: an LSD addict
Review: Oh my God. I don't even understand how the movie "The Wild World of Batwoman" was made...what kind of sick mind--it's like they were expecting Mystery Science Theater years later, and they crafted a movie perfect for the purpose of the show...
...so, I guess, thank God for "The Wild World of Batwoman". This one is hillarious. The chase with the arch villian Ratfink around tables and near beakers is brimming with funny. And the annoying, gum-chewing kidnapper, who's "shirt just screams British advertising executive" is equally hillarious.

In the beginning of the movie, a tough thug stops a whistling gentleman and asks for a light. The man replies, "Sure buddy," and searches his pockets for a lighter while Mike says: "Havin' trouble getting to it cause of all the money...jeez, I got THOUSANDS in here..."

Ya gotta buy this...guaranteed laughs.

Summary: Gimme More....Gimme More!!
Review: If you are a fan of MST3K you of course have to own every episode of the show. It's great that Rhino is releasing the box sets and now the new Essentials double dvd with "Manos" and "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" is out, but I do miss the individual episodes on dvd like "Wild World of Batwoman" simply because the extras on those dvd's usually included the Un-MSTied version of the films. Now I don't know how often I would get the urge to watch "The Wild World of Batwoman" without the benefit of Mike and the bots, but it's nice to have that option. If you haven't discovered MST3K until these dvd releases, then "Wild World of Batwoman" is as good a place to start your collection as any. You get the quick short on "Cheating" which is great ("Have you seen my ribcage?"), and the host segments are pretty funny as well with TV's Frank inventing a nuclear hairdryer and giving Dr. Forrester a new doo, and Mike comes up with a way to get rid of backhair. This is a pretty funny show overall, and showcases why MST3K has such a loyal following of fans.

Summary: Mike with the bots got batty!
Review: Mike Hodgeson with the bots are forced to watch a really confusing, badly acted mess of a flick called " The Wild wild world of Batwoman". It's a very 60's flick about some avening buxom babe called " Batwoman" and has a clan of hotties to battle a fat villain named " Rat Fink" with a crew of deadly mole people.

I think it's probably the most campiest movie to be on the show, there was just way too much dancing and 60's music in the movie but with Mike and America's favorite robot duo ( Besides C3PO and R2D2) make watching this mess a breeze.

The DVD also comes with the Uncut version of the movie without the MST3K crew on it.

Summary: So BAD it;'s GOOD! Hilarious "Panel" Commentaries!
Review: The fact that the sci-fi flick being reviewed by Mike & His Robots is ABSOLUTELY AWEFUL, makes the funny cracks the -Siskel & Ebert- panel adds to almost every frame even funnier. When the rediculous-looking Bat Woman demands -What did you do with that girl?-, a robot snips -I introduced her to Phil Donahue-. Commenting on everything from dialog, the way characters dress or even their manerisms. A crowd of Go-Go Girls dancing to British mod music were referred to as -chicks with 40 pound butts wearing 30 pound butt-capacity pants-. The cracks never stop!

The opening 1940's -Health Class Motivational Program- about cheating on tests is dragged through the mud like a lecture about -changes in your bodies-, ridiculed to no end. The dated material has matured into a laughing stock. It may make you stop, drop and roll over with laughter.

The spoof-effect is definitely first rate. Still, the sci-fi flick about Bat Woman and her harem of sexy bat girls is at times unbearably aweful. How could something like that ever have been considered entertainment? But then again, it's so terribly bad, it's almost good. A fan of Don Rickles-type comments will love this DVD for the laughs. But rememeber, they are making fun of something that not even the best-paid critic could endorse. Enjoy the insults and the bizarre flick serving as punching bag.****
