Summary: Buffy Season 2
Review: I have to say the Second Season was a great buy. I enjoyed watching every episode and I will be looking forward to Season 3.
Becoming Part 1 & 2 were great episodes and a real highlight to the season. This is a must buy for any fan.

Summary: One Of The Best Seasons
Review: Buffy is by far the best show on telivision ever! Thank God they finnaly came out with DVD sets, I didn't really have any use for my DVD player. Some of my favorite eps are in the second season. Becoming parts one and two prove Joss Whedon is brilliant (then again the first season proved that). School Hard is also wonderful. Spike and Dru's introductions, who couldn't love that? Passion is another great one. So are Suprise and Innocence. Buy this set!! Belive me when I say you won't be disappointed.

Summary: Brilliance, thy name is Buffy
Review: Arguably the best season every on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, it was definitely my favorite.

Loved the commentaries by Marti Noxon. And the force of nature that is Joss Whedon. Loved seeing Spike and Drusilla in their former perfect-evil twosome.

And Buffy and Angel -- the supercouple. All that angst... mine on DVD forever!

Hours of fun of one of my favorite shows of all time.

In Joss We Trust.

Summary: To all US fans!
Review: Hi there,
I live in europe and would like to share some thoughts..here in europe(I live in holland) we have season 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5(in a couple of days/weaks) released on DVD.
The US sets are much cheaper than what we get, our sets are about the same price as your X files box sets and sometimes even expensiver than that.
We also have a more beautifull packaging(kind of a book thing).

Back to this set, Season 2 is not the best season that is/are season 4 and up(widescreen(!), better sound, more extra's etc.
but still it's worth buying, the quality of our season 2 is okay but not stunnig.
A friend of mine has also got the us edition and we compared it and i think the region 2 is slightly better(my opinion).

But season 3 is a lot better!(If you wanna buy a good set, this is for u) the quality is verry much improved compared to season 1+2(wich are the worst quality of all)the menu's are easier and you don't have that symetery walk trough thing.

Season 4 is really good, it's in my opinion not a good season but the dvd's are the best! Widscreen finally.. and it looks soooooo much beter! the sound and extra's are also fare more beter than the previous sets.
Season 5 is also verry promosing, this box has probally the best extra's and is also widscreen blablabla...

I just wanted to let you know what you can suspect, it's a shame you don't get the same packaging...season 1 fold out to a crussifix(is this the right way to spell it? ;) and season 2 and up had some sort of book style wich is verry beautifull and easy to use.

So keep in mind that this is info about region 2 sets(region 4 has other packaging wich is not really nice)I don't know if the upcoming us boxes will have the same quality..because there's such a price difference..
If you decied to buy region 2(because you cant wait or someother reason) keep in mind that only th UK, and Dutch and Belgium sets have the special packaging..
The German(cut's the season in half(except S1)) and frence(cut's the season in half and also has whole season in a different packaging, like the us packaging) and australian(region 4, cut's the season in half)editions have other different packaging..
I have all the seasons and have never had had any problems what so ever with these dvds(no skipping, no pixelateting(is this the way to spell it?), we almost never had those kind of things..
I hope this helps in your decicien.. :)

*sorry for spelling errors, but i was in kind of a hurry*

Summary: Fade to black
Review: worth it. definitely get it. if you love the show like I do, this will definitely be a great treat. and no annoying commercials. :) Although I wish there were a tad bit more on the 'extra' side of things, it still has more than the first set and it looks like they are improving.... and anyway- who can resist the Buffy and Angel arc? The season ender still makes me cry. shh. don't tell anyone else that.

Summary: So close to being everything I wanted...
Review: The second season storylines still rank as some of Mutant Enemy's best work. Fox, however, allowed disc 1 to go out with the fuzzy footage (having seen the episodes on tv, I know that a clearer print has to exist somewhere) - bad quality control!

You do get the introduction of Spike, the rise and fall of Angelus, and Xander in a speedo. All in all, not too bad.

Summary: Buffy at her absolute best
Review: I didn't really care for season one of Buffy, but season two totally blew me away. It has everything: romance (Buffy and Angel), drama (Buffy and Angelus), laughter (Xander and Cordelia's "romance"), heartbreak (Mrs. Calendar), and baddies (Spike, Drusilla, and Angelus). While there have been memorable Buffy villains (i.e. the Mayor, Faith, Glory), none have come close to Spike and Angel. The best episode of the entire series (Becoming, Part 2) was in this season. If you like this show at all, do yourself a favor and buy this DVD set now.

Summary: Buffy shines in season 2
Review:

Buffy has always been a truly underrated show backed by an amazing cast and an incredibly creative writing team, but whereas season one was a chance for the show to find its footing, season two is really where Buffy came into its own. Many fans will argue that season three was the best in its run but there's a lot to be said for Buffy's sophomore effort.

For instance, the Buffy/Angel romance was pivotal to the season's development and overall story arc, which takes an amazing twist in mid-season (where I recognized for the first time just how brilliant the show really is) and doesn't wrap things up nice and neatly in a couple of episodes but instead leaves Buffy's world topsy turvey clear until the gut-wrenching season finale.

This is also the season that introduced Spike and Drusilla (the former is now a regular) as well as Seth Green's Oz.

As far as extras, there are some interesting "behind the scenes" featurettes that include interviews with cast members. Certain episodes include audio commentaries from the writers which are somewhat enlightening but leave me wanting more depth. And some outtakes or deleted scenes would have been nice to really round out the 6 disc set so I couldn't give it a full five stars.

If you're a fan of the show, this handsomely packaged boxed set is probably a good replacement for your stack of VHS tapes you made from the original airings. Plunk down the money and go for it.
