Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Almost purrfect.
Review: This movie starts out really good, then it gets very boring in the middle, then it gets really really good in the end. I'd have given it a 5-stars rating if only they had shown Carrie-anne Moss naked.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The ultimate "guy movie." Must see for everyone!!!!!
Review: It's been about 4 months since I saw the Matrix. I'm probably a little prejudiced towards loving this film, probably because of the fact that I love watching Keanu Reeves in cyberpunk flicks. I was hoping this wouldn't be a let down, and it wasn't. This has it all. Awesome special effects, beautiful eye candy *I love you Trinity* Plus, killing cast members to advance the plot. I applaud the Wachowski brothers effort to make the ultimate movie that bears repeated watchings. In my mind, they have done so.

A killer script, great casting, and a throw in the kitchen sink approach make Matrix one of the most enjoyable sci-fi movies since the genre was born. Compared to this, Star Wars Episode 1 was a pedestrian yawner.

Last, to women who review this movie, and thought it sucked, the Matrix is not for you. Go watch some weepy chick flick with Sally Field, and stay away from good action films. If this statement ticks you off, good. Email me, and feel free to call me a sexist pig. I'm not, I'm just being honest. I don't see movies with Sandra Bullock because I know I'll fall asleep and it'll be a waste of my money. I feel that women should realize that just because they go to a film just to stare at an actor for two hours, doesn't mean that people like me do that too. I go to be entertained, and to be enlightened. I hate lame films, and will not be dragged to them.

What else.... Don't make more Matrix movies unless you get Keanu to do them. It won't work without him, this is the role he was made for.

Bryant out.

Summary: A movie that make you think
Review: When I first heard about this movie I was not thrilled. I, and I hate to admit it, was not at all intersted until I heard other people talking about the movie. I finally went, with a friend of mine who had seen The Matrix twice already and eagerly said that she'd see it again, and I was BLOWN AWAY. The special effects were GREAT and the message was just as good. If you want to see a movie that makes you go "HMMM?" instead of "HUH???"... EXPERIENCE the movie THE MATRIX!

Summary: The defining movie of the cyberpunk genre!
Review: Watching this movie sent my mind reeling through a world of chaos and technology. Grabbing hold and releasing only long enough to tighten its grip. The definative cyberpunk movie of the ninties. If you are a fan of science fiction or just looking for an action movie, this is a must get.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An excellent view into one possible future
Review: This movie found a very creative merger of technology and belief. Keanu Reeves plays a computer hacker that finds his life may not be all he imagined. He meets a woman who gives him clues to another "Super-Hacker" named Morpheus. Morpheus was a legend until now but "Neo" (Keanu Reeves" believes he might exist....

What follows is a journey into your creative mind. Neo finds reality mixed with fantasy in this superb story telling adventure.

Summary: Excellent, thought-provoking, Orwellian fare - do not miss!
Review: Special and visual effects (though outstanding), musical score and acting (very good), notwithstanding, this film was enjoyable on many, many levels. As a description of a future form of existance it was at once repulsive and technologically inviting. The characters were fresh and new (with a penchant for black outfits) but also reminded me of Biblical characters, Lawrence Fishburn as John the Baptist, Keanu Revess as an unknowing Messiah, and a Judas character settling for his silver at the expense of his friends. It is a fun, exciting and discussion provoking film. The selection of the network system "enforcement" personnel, with their costuming remenicient of rogue employees of the MIB was a nice touch, as was the homage to the television series, Kung Fu in the training (dicipleship) sequences between Fisburn and Reeves. Now, the effects and visuals were breathtaking and cutting edge, a precursor of effects to come. The shoot-outs, chases and fight sequences were as memorable and as timeless (I think) as the chase sequence in Bullitt, or the French Connection and as engaging as the opening escapade of any of Indiana Jones' adventures. This is a must see just as a great action film, a good film of the sci-fi genre and useful for a mid-week Bible study - who could ask for anything more?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Greatest Sci-Fi thriller of all time!
Review: Hands down the greatest Sci-Fi\Kung Fu\Well written plot\Special effects movie of all time. It will take an achievement of unmeasureable proportions to top this one.
