Summary: This movie is wicked cool!
Review: I saw this movie six times in the theater, but none matched the first time. The story is deep and wild, with a sci-fi essence so sweet, you have to see it to appreciate it. The special effects are first rate and the best is when they slow down time and spin around the characters. Just kickin'! See this movie!

Summary: The absolute best DVD movie out there now !!
Review: I love this movie even more on DVD

Summary: Even Keanu Reeves could not screw up this movie!!
Review: Those Wachowski brothers are good. This movie is fantastic! The casting (even Keanu, who is terrible in all other movies) seems to be perfect. I really cannot see other actors in these roles. The actually premise of the movie (humans as batteries for machines) was completely original. They did a fantastic job of mixing cyber-punk, Hong Kong and anime styles. This is the movie to bring Hollywood into the next century. Sorry, George. Jar-Jar did not cut it.

Summary: If you don't watch this movie, you'll be way behind the 21C
Review: Matrix is one of the greatest sci-fi action movies. Its special effect is so amazing that my eye balls were almost poped out. You may not understand its background and story at first. However, you'll understand what is "MATRIX" when you watch this movie over and over. "Matrix" is worth to purchase as DVD. You won't regret.

Summary: Plot and story? Not with kick butt SFX like these!
Review: Sure, the plot has holes. Yeah, some of the dialouge is forced. But really, who cares? This movie is all about style, and when they do it this well, who can resist having a little fun? The only things you have to know about the Matrix is that the effects rock, the music kicks, the action is second to none, and the whole cast looks really, really good decked out in leather. If there was a little less talkey talkey and a little more gravity-defying action, it would've gotten a five. SEE IT NOW!

Summary: Robots vs. Kung Fu
Review: This movie combines one of the best story lines in the sci-fi genera with the most original special effects and camera work ever. The plot is very thought provoking, volumes could be written on the scenario suggested in this movie. If you not in the mood to think, the Matrix is still the movie to watch. Incredible visuals and action scenes with the best gunfights and kung Fu ever. The directors seamlessly integrate the story line into the action, avoiding any drops in the energy of the movie. This movie is what DVD was made for!

Summary: Awsome effects, sourround sound, good one to have.
Review: This movie is good to have for a bunch of people who like plots of that sort. It has great effects, great surround sound, great interactive program. It is great for a DVD party, and great surround tester.

Summary: Great Movie, poor DVD transfer.
Review: As pleased as I was to see Matrix released on DVD I was chagrined to see the trailer was not included as well as the poor menuing system. Compounding all this is a whithering compression ratio - where visual binary info travels across the screen one cannot fail to notice artifacting.

Summary: I tried to play the dvd;it didn't work!
Review: I rented this at two different video stores, and I coudn't play it! I got zero picture and sound! I don't think it's my dvd player, because I put in a different dvd,and the disc worked fine. Did anyone else have this problem? Are all initial copies of this dvd defective,or what?
