Summary: great movie - poor DVD
Review: This would have been a pleasure to watch except for video/audio going out of sync on most action scenes. I have a Pioneer DVL700 which plays my other 200+ DVD's without trouble. Understand the problem also occurs with Toshiba, RCA, and other players - Sony plays it OK.

Summary: Freudian Cyberchology
Review: All of the little pieces of the movie really began to tie together when Neo tells Trinity that he is "just an average guy" and he is "not the one-according to the oracle". Because picturing the whole "matix" concept without the machines makes it possible to see that the matrix is really a manifestation of the human super-ego. Neo can defeat the Matrix if he comes to terms with the idea that he really is "just a normal guy". The power of speed and agility that Neo acquires in the end is actually effective spontaneous actions that are derived from an honest and realistic self-perspective that is not cluttered by superficial hang-ups. That's what makes this movie so great-the moral effort that was put into this makes it not just another cyber-flick.

Summary: A Classic Si-Fi for the 90's
Review: I have watched this twice at the theater and now own the DVD. I am looking forward to a sequel! However... what is with the green cast on the screen in the first 30 minutes...bad DVD copy?

Summary: why did Star Wars get all of the summer's hype?
Review: This movie is awesome. Finally, a cyberpunk movie that isn't just plain bad. I would like to know what William Gibson thinks of it? Can we say "Nueromancer" meets "Snow Crash?" And can someone please stop saying there are plot holes and actually bother pointing them out?

Summary: Kick-Ass
Review: A great movie. I think that the philosopy of the movie combined with the Shoot 'em up and Martial Arts action makes the movie totally worth watch. Some of the philosophical stuff that they talk about can make you view life in a totally different way. It sure did for me. However, you have to pay very close attention to what is going on, otherwise the film can be very hard to understand. The Lobby Shooting Spree scene has got to be the best action scene in the whole movie. Definitely check it out.

Summary: Great Movie Great SFX
Review: This is one of my favorite movies and Keanu reeves was better in this than in other movies. The SFX is ground breaking and excellent.

Summary: Ushering in a new dark era for movies
Review: This is as dark as you can get it folks. The whole contruction of the film oozes class. I'll be the first person to admit that there were some holes in the plot, but for sheer entertainment you can't fault it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: First-rate pick
Review: This movie happens to be one of my favorites. The DVD makes it an excellent addition to the home theatre, or even the PC community with its special features. Definitely worth the money. Note: This DVD has minor problems on certain players. There are a few sections that myteriously play themselves twice over. Overall, it's not a problem. The repeating scenes are good ones, after all.
