Review: BEST SCIENCE/FICTION MOVIE OF THE A.D. from

Summary: THERE ARE ALREADY 1670 REVIEWS FOR THIS MOVIE...SO HERE IS
Review: MY TWO CENTS. I loved this movie as did my eight year old son. The interesting thing to me was that my son usually finds these types of movies "scary" because of their intensity. He adored this one, in fact he considers it his favorite movie... I think it was a combonation of the wonderful special effects, the story, and the fact that there wasn't gore for gore's sake... Enjoy this movie 1,671 people can't be wrong!

Summary: Sit close and crank up the sound.
Review: I experienced the illusion of attending a film called "The Matrix" while inhabiting pod T1123-9971, Sector19, North Zone 3. I found the film so exciting and thought provoking I nearly disconnected myself! It's a good thing this film is in absolutely no way a metaphor for our 'real' social, political, economic, media-induced cocoons or I'd be unduly concerned.

Summary: An fun action movie, but highly overated
Review: To be brief, "the Matrix" is, at best, an "OK" action film with intellectual pretentions that come off sort of goofy-cyber-juvenile. Still, it is alot of fun to look at (until you realize the whole thing looks like a Playstation version of a Gap commercial). Keanu Reeves is at his "pretending not to be a complete stoner moron" best and Mr. Fishburne looks very pleased to be making so much money for such little acting effort. The real star (human wise) is the character of Trinity who is absolutely stunning to look at and has some of the best martial arts moves. But even the tough as nails Trinity couldn't save me from feeling this film was basically a B-grade flick on a A-grade budget. Worse of all, it takes itself so deadpan serious that I couldn't help but laugh through most of it. Still, if your looking for some mindless techno-dystopic fun, see the film. If you want something in the same vein with a little more substance, try "Blade Runner" or "Cube" or the animated films "Ghost in the Shell" or "Akira".

Summary: What to read to understand this movie
Review: I think that many watchers would understand this movie better if they previously read Carlos Castaneda's books. The whole theory of people being energy for other beings and the fact that this world is simply a prop, draws heavily from Castaneda's works. Whoever really liked this movie might give Carlos a try.

I enjoyed the movie- great entertainment.

Summary: Awesome!
Review: This movie was the best! Action-packed and the female character wasn't a helpless wimp.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Don't Buy if you are using a DVD player on a Mac.
Review: The movie is one of my favorites, the special effects are out of this world and I can't wait to see something else from the people who made this movie.

A word of warning though to anyone who plays there DVD's on a Macintosh Computer. The DVD is not formated for the Mac, which is very upsetting when all you can look forward to is watching this movie on DVD.
