Rating: Summary: Why is it not anamorph(this dvd version)? Review: The Terminator is a sci-fi classic movie, but why is it not anamorph(this dvd version)?
Rating: Summary: 101% THE BEST MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!! Review: Terminator is the best movie I have ever seen or will see. I love this movie, i've loved since the first time I saw it. I was 6 back then but now, 9 years later, it still gives me the creeps. I have watched it over and over and over (about 50 times) but I just can't get enough of it. The best movie ever made. No other person could bring Terminator in life as well as Arnold Schwarzenegger. I just love the highspeed chase in the end of the movie. It's much better than Terminator 2. Terminator 2 is not as scary as the original. To me, "The Terminator" is a sci-fi thriller not an sci-fi movie. There's nothing that compares to it. I will love this movie till the day i die.
Rating: Summary: The perfect night out. Review: One of my best action films{along with BLADE, FACE/OFF and ALIENS}I've got the tape and I'm a BIG fan.I've also got James Camerons TRUE LIES,ALIENS and T2:JUDGEMENT DAY.If you aren't a Sci-Fi fan.
Rating: Summary: A magnificent sci-fi smash ! Review: James Cameron leaves the disater that was Pirahna 2 behind him and co-writes and directs this classic sci-fi masterpiece that would make him and Arnold Schwarzenegger household names . The fabulous and complex plot is aided by superb performances from Arnie Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton . The sfx are marvolous and the scenes of the dark and horrific near futre are terifying . I first saw this film when i was about 6 or 7 and i always wanted to be Arnie . A film that should not be missed .
Rating: Summary: Humanity, not special effects, make Terminator classic Review: The Terminator is a must-see sci-fi classic that packs a wallop in not only the action and suspense categories but in acting and story as well. First, the acting is very good all around. Michael Biehn projects enough wrought and intensity for two movies as the man sent back in time to protect the mother of humanity's future leader. Linda Hamilton believably develops from scared, little-miss-innocent into a woman who accepts her destiny and fights to preserve it. And Arnold is mezmorizing as the unstoppable Terminator: a killing machine whose only purpose is to re-write the past in Linda Hamilton's spilled blood. Second, and most importantly, James Cameron doesn't overshadow his masterpiece with special effects (although they are present). His characters are real and are allowed to lead the story. In essence, Terminator is a nice throwback to the sci-fi movies of old when man was made the author and finisher of his battle with machines instead of a footnote in a special effects' tale.
Rating: Summary: BEST ACTION-SIENCE-FICTION-MOVIE OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: In this movie nearly everything is perfect. I have seen it about 30 times and I still love it like in the first time. The special effects are really great for it's time. The action-scenes are awesome and they fit perfectly in the movie. And that's not all: It also has a great and still realistic story. The soundtrack is one of the greatest ever. Every Science Fiction- or Action-Fan should watch this movie, although you may not like it if you don't like dark movies. IT'S A MUST-SEE.
Rating: Summary: The film that launched the career of James Cameron Review: Terminator is as close to perfect as any movie can be. Many times when people talk about this film, they talk about the great action. What they're forgetting though is the strong characters and story that James Cameron wrote. This movie is as much about love as it is about action. Of course all of Cameron's pictures have a love story running through them. Also, some people may say that the special effects aren't as good as T2, which of course they aren't. It has always been my opinion that sometimes the old fashioned way of creating effects brings more to a movie than the overblown computer generated ones. No matter how good computer effects get, many times they still look fake which I think has something to do with the texture and new shine cp effects seem to have. This is an excellent movie with wonderful performances. Also, look for Bill Paxton in his first Cameron movie as a punk that gets beat up by Arnold.
Rating: Summary: A truly awsome movie Review: The Terminator is an awsome movie. It has lots of action but it is not overly gory. If you watch it and think about the plot, you start to realize that this, with the exception of the time travel, could happen. We have the tecnology now. We even had it back then. They used an actual robot for the movie, which was controlled by men, but could easily have a mind of it's own. Anyways, this movie is one of the coolest movies that I have seen. For the year that it was made it has great special effects, better than any other movies of it's time. If you are looking for a great movie to watch, I suggest this. It is even better than T2, which was an awsome movie too. I suggest that you see The Terminator before T2. T2 will make so much more sense then.
Rating: Summary: FORGET TITANIC Review: THIS MOVIE IS BETTER THAN A STUPID LOVE STORY AND GIANT SHIP SINKING THIS MOVIE IS AMAZING
Rating: Summary: This movie causes my skin crawl... Review: If there was an Oscar for the Best Story, I am sure The Terminator would have won it. James Cameron brings on the screen his dark vision of a post-apocalyptic world dominated by man's own technological creations. The most powerful computer on Earth, SkyNet, that is in control of United States nuclear arsenal, becomes intelligent and almost exterminates humanity by initiating a nuclear war. That's a story! The film does not take place in the hellish future, but in the year 1984, where the "final" battle between humans and machines "will" take place: Sarah Connor, a seemingly innocent woman, becomes the target for a deadly cyborg sent back through time by SkyNet to kill her. Turns out she is about to give birth to a man, John Connor, who will eventually lead humans into a victory over the evil computer. Kyle Reese, a soldier under John Connor's command, is sent to protect Sarah. What follows is a fight for hope, for the future of humanity. As the story unfolds, Kyle reveals to Sarah the history of things to come. Sarah is reluctant to believe him first, but eventually falls in love with Kyle. Meanwhile, the terminator lurks and leaves behind a grim path of destruction... The only movie that can rival Terminator's dark atmosphere is probably Batman, but while Batman lacks any kind of deeper meaning, The Terminator tells a story that can very well happen; perhaps we have too much trust in computers...
