Summary: One of my favorite Arnold Schwarzenager movies
Review: This is one of those action movies you can't miss. It's a classic for those who like guns, action, suspense, and violence. It should be up there right next to Terminator 2. "Movies for guys who like movies!"

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of Schwarzenegger's best
Review: Predator is a fabulous film. It used and made the infra-red point of view famous in filmmaking. The shots were very good. A great cast including Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura and Bill Duke. This film could not have been made better.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An amazing film, well worth a watch...
Review: Predator is a masterpiece, one of the many highlights of Arnies career, second only to Commando for sheer enjoyment and the rushing of adrenaline. Arnie is a commanding figure, any other man's on screen presence would be diminished by that of greats like Carl Weathers, Bill Duke, Jesse "The Body" Ventura and the other members of his team, but not arnie... a film to be appreciated time and time again, buy it, you WON'T be disapointed!!!

Summary: Best War Movie I have seen
Review: This movie was so so so great. I loved how Arnold was a funny but serious soldier. A group of men are sent to Central America to get prisioners back from bad guys. Then the creature kills... My favorite line is: " do it, do it now, kill me, I'm here, come on do it now kill meee"

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Sci Fi at its best!
Review: This is an action movie plain and simple, but it's also so much more. The music and mood make this a great suspense as well, along the lines of the Alien movie series. Whilt the special effects are a little dated there is no disputing the creepy thrill you feel when the dirctor puts you in the aliens perspective with it thermographic vision.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Surprisingly good!
Review: Much better than the name suggests. Great special effects. Great action from beginning to end. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Look for Jesse "the Body" Ventura!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best war movies i've ever seen!
Review: Usually when you watch an alien war movie you think why am I here wathing this dumb movie. Well I thought Preditor put this stereotype in the dirt.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Two words Arnold and Alien
Review: Never before has the sivler screen seen some much testosterone. If you'ver seen Aliens or They Live then this is the movie for you. Arnold is at his best in this movie remember to "stick around"

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: My favorite Arnold flick but...
Review: The DVD quality is poor at best. In fact, the only disk I have that has poorer video quality is Highlander. From all appearences the disk was made from the D2 analog master (the one used for Laser Disk). What Fox should have done was used the D1 Digital master - this would have giving a much better video transfer. At points in the movie the video quality is excellent (no artifacting is visible and no analog noise) at other times (sometimes the same scene just a different camera angle) the video is painful to look at. There is so much analog noise that I felt I was watching a video tape. Throughout the movie artifacting was at a minimum, the biggest problem was video noise.

As for the 5.1 remaster - this was at least better then the video transfer. At times it was excellent, in fact most of the movie had really good sound, something that the Laser Disk was missing. There are a few scenes however where the 5.1 mix sounds forced. One scene in particular had a bird chirping in the left front speaker - and only in the left front speaker. Fox should have put a little sound bleeding into it so that the sound touched the center and left rear speakers also.

Basically, although the transfer on this disk suffers, if you are a Predator or Arnold fan - get this disk. I still thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I just hope and pray Fox does a better job with their masters in the future.
