Summary: GOOD MOVIE,BUT IT'S NO JAWS.
Review: This was a good movie, but it's no JAWS (THE DEFINITIVE SHARK MOVIE.) This movie gave all the shock and blood you could want, but none of the suspense that made JAWS great. The tag line for this movie said "Bigger,Smarter,Faster and Meaner." All that is true, this movie is very watchable and it has great effects it even has a good story tied to it,but all the people that said it was better than JAWS are dead wrong. If you like a good scary shark movie, see this,it delivers in the chill department. If you want to see a Great and Scary Shark movie, sit back, get some popcorn travel back to 1975 and watch JAWS.

Summary: Terrible Film. Good Disc.
Review: The film on its own would only get 1 star, but the DVD is great! It vastly improves the (lame) film. Sub-par script and acting. Ludicrous plot, and absolutely no tension or atmosphere. Reviewers who think this is better than Jaws, clearly haven't seen it, because there is SIMPLY NO comparison. The cinematography is great however - the underwater scenes look very deep and blue. Some of the sharks look straight out of a computer game, but they still upstage some of the actors. As far as the DVD is concerned: the transfer is beautiful: the anamorphic 2.35:1 aspect ratio does the visuals justice. The documentaries are informative and entertaining. The menus are menacing, and the deleted scenes shed more light on the characters, which are woefully under-developed in the final cut. Without knowing anything about the characters, how could you possible care about what happens to them! If you like the film (and I couldn't imagine how anyone could), then this would be a valuable purchase, and a worthy part of your collection. Otherwise, avoid.

Summary: very cool movie!
Review: Ok comng into this movie i will half to admit that i had high expectations for it. For example i had expected the sharks that they portrayed to be enormous enormous. They were fairly big but not as big as you would think. One thing that stirrs up the plot is how smart the sharks are. Alright im getting ahead of myself the story takes place in the middle of the Atlantic ocean at a great white shark testing lab, where they are testing chemicals that will make sharks smarter. To make a long story short something goes wrong, the sharks get out, and eat alot of people, and there is LL cool J the cook to help save the day. I enjoyed this movie a bunch and it was very entertaining.

Summary: The Shallow Blue Sea
Review: "The Deep Blue Sea" is an example of a movie that should never have been made. If you want to see sharks terrorizing people, if you want suspense, then see Steven Spielberg's far superior "Jaws." I tell you, the characters of "The Deep Blue Sea" were cliched and horrendous. You have the "I can beat men up" female lead, the pessimistic scientist, the male lead who looks like he spends too much time lifting weights, and the requisite funny minority, played by none other than L.L. Cool J. The cute little doggy character commonly found in films of this sort is substituted here by a bad-mouthed bird. All of the characters have no depth to them whatsoever. I felt more sorrow when the bird got chomped than when members of the human class got eaten by the sharkies. The plot in this movie is boring and unoriginal, and it moves with all the speed of a drunken snail. Mind-numbingly tedious, watching coverage of the Republican/Democratic National Conventions offers more action and excitement than this waste of money. Make no mistake, the "Deep Blue Sea" is by no means deep. Rather, it ends up getting beached.

Summary: Too bad the shark hadn't eaten the writer!
Review: Is it possible to make a movie with helicopter crashes, massive explosions and SUV sized sharks chomping people into snausages and have it be boring? "Deep Blue Sea" answers that question with a resounding "YES!" Harlin does his best to inject some oomph into the movie but I found myself not being too concerned with the fates of the characters with the exception of LL Cool J. Several times during this DVD I found myself saying out loud: "If you kill LL I will turn this DVD off" as there would be no other reason left to watch. Don't get me wrong: this movie looks good, the effects are good and the acting is competent. I just didn't care about what happened.

Summary: So bad, it's like Harlin was trying to win a bet.
Review: Unless Renny Harlin was trying to prove that either A) he's capable of new lows in directing or B) that even "Jaws 3D" wasn't the worst shark movie ever, it's difficult to imagine how this movie made it to theaters with this horrifying hat trick of moronic script, ham-fisted direction and laughable special effects.

"Deep Blue Sea" assaults the intelligence, attempts to bore the audience into a stupor, and more or less ignores everything that makes horror movies horrifying.

It would take all day to catalog the awfulness of this film, and it's really not worth it. Worse than any movie in last 20 years, save perhaps "Highlander 2."

Under no circumstances should you watch this film. It's not even amusing in its awfulness. It's just plain tripe.

Summary: The Cook was the best actor in the whole movie.
Review: Rather ridicious story of scientists experimenting on sharks, something bad goes wrong, and we get to see two hours of the sharks eating everyone via CGI effects, which are rather poorly used for laughs rather then terror. Lacks the terror of Jaws and plays more like a music video.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Fun, Horror, Suspense..Everything..
Review: This movie is really scary. You can both laugh and shout in a short minute. Effects are perfect. I advise everybody to get that item. (ll cool j is playing best)

Summary: I didnt expect that.
Review: This movie has more curves than mariah carey.I mean seriously,it keeps you guessing till the end, and you can never tell whose going to die.Its full of surprises.I wont take the liberty to saying its better than jaws.(but then again my salty sea faring comraddes,in your opinions is any freakin thing?!?!)But its not trying to be.Its a completely, completel original concept, with some really fresh and great actors. Its visiually stunning, and is packed with action.Solid.
