Summary: Good Movie
Review: This movie was very enjoyable even though parts of it were not quite believable. If you want to see a movie that makes total sense this is not the one. If you want to relax and enjoy two hours of incredible special effects, this is a must see. For those of you who are complaining about the movie not making sense, what did you expect from a science fiction movie? Quit your wining.

Summary: Cheesy and farfetched but excellent effects and audio!
Review: Granted this was a pretty cheesy movie, but you must admit you laughed, you cried and you oohed and ahed a bit. To me the best performance was from Steve Buscemi. Everytime I see him in a movie I burst out laughing and singing a chorus of "He's Got the Whole World In His Hands". His one liners and comic relief made most of the best parts of the movie. Bruce Willis' performance was alright as was Ben Afflack's but Buscemi left the lasting impression for me. If it was the end of the world I would want him around to make me laugh. The special effects were very well done and the DVD does them justice even better than VHS. The topper of the DVD version though was the audio. With Cinema Sound capabilities it was above par. If you're looking for a realistic version of the end of the world, this is not the movie for you. But if you're looking for a movie with humor and edge of your seat what will happen next this is a good one.

Summary: A great action movie that tugs at the heart.
Review: It has a limited amount of features, 2 trailers and the Aerosmith video, but the sound is ear ringing awesome. You must have Dolby Digital to fully enjoy this movie or any action movie for that matter.

Summary: The Devil-On-My-Shoulder's Favorite Movie
Review: When I first heard about Armageddon's plot - a crew of roughneck oil drillers who must save the Earth from a Texas-sized asteroid, brought to you by Jerry Bruckheimer - I knew not to expect high art. What I did expect is exactly what I got - a slick, sharply crafted, utterly and unrepentantly soulless two-and-a-half hour chest-pounder which would make me proud to be an American. And the weird part is - it works. Now, there have been lots of detractors of this movie (one critic called it "the death of intelligent filmmaking" - which is like saying McDonalds is the death of fine dining), and lots of what they have said is accurate. Yes, this movie is jingoistic; yes it's cliche; yes, the characters are paper-thin. To these detractors I say this: So? It came out on the 4th of July! It's a summer movie! It's supposed to be all of that. And as such it succeeds. Where else could you hear a venerated action star (Willis) utter a line like "Let's kick some asteroid butt!", or hear a promising young actress (Tyler) scream "That's my FATHER up there!!" or watch an Oscar-winning screenwriter (Affleck) bawl his eyes out, bellowing "HARRY! I LOVE YOU!!!!"? Sure, Schindler's List won a lot of Oscars, but did it have a single Aerosmith song in it? And where, I ask you, in Sense and Sensibility were the astronauts raising their voices in an off-key chorus of "Leaving on a Jet Plane"? Nowhere, mon frere. The bottom line is that this movie, for all its stock characters, stereotypes, and bad dialogue, is a necessary evil. Hell, it's more than that, it's an American institution. And frankly, if I'm going to watch things blow up for two and a half hours, I'd rather it be at the hands of Dottie the texas-big asteroid than some lame-o Japanese lizard.

Summary: it was okay
Review: it was okay. i thought the whole asteroid thing was really stupid. i mean how many times is the US going to save the world. ID4, Deep Impact, MIB, and all of those other movies just made this one seem mediocre. the special effects were really cool though.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: the most spectaculare movie ever made
Review: As a great fan of Bruce Willis, who has watched almost every movie of him,I must admit, that "ARMAGEDDON" is the finest one.The story is exiting but also very horrifing.I mean, everything seams to be so real as it has happened already. Fantastic work, amazing special effects and unforgettable performans by Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck!Good work, guies!

Summary: DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS!!!!!!
Review: Some call this flick 'an epic' while the other 'a gabbage in bin', there are only 34 words that I can say to this; Enjoy This Film Leaving Your Lives Behind; We Are Here To Enjoy The Ride, Not Wanting To Take A Look At Our Normal Life All Over Again, Otherwise, What The Hell Are We Trying To See Of A Movie Like This?

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: GOOD MOVIE
Review: This was a good movie with great acting plus special effects. But one downslide was it was a bit fake. Like the part when they fly in that rover thing. It all seemed fake there for me. Other than that it was very good.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Best of 1998
Review: Armageddon was the best movies of 1998. It was action packed and it really amazed me. Bruce Willis is one of my favorite actors. His role was one to be admired. This movie was filled with thrills, laughs and tears. The end proves to be a real tear-jerker. Most can't help but cry. Armageddon is about heroism. There should be more guys like Bruce Willis (his role in the movie) and then this world would be better off. Great movie recommendation for those who like to be amazed. The action never ceases to amaze me.
