Summary: A wonderfull movie overall
Review: "This is the earth, at a time when dinosouars ruled a vast and fertile region. A piece of rock just six miles wide changed all that. It happened before, it will happen again, the only question is when." These are the first words you hear when you begin to watch this movie. They are the first on a long list of the words in this film that will take your breath away and touch your heart. In watching this it focuses on the lives of people just like you and me and makes you realize how incredibly real this situation actually is. It ties together a wonderfull comedy, drama, and action packed thriller all in one. It has one end where these are normal people in their everyday life and you get to see all of the funny mishaps and jokes and fun personalities on an oil rig in the east china sea. At the same time you are brought into a realionship between too people that gets turned into a modern day romeo and juliet story. Then there is also the fact that a huge asteroid is about to crash into earth "killing everything and everyone you know" as said by Harry Stamper played by BRUCE WILLIS. How these three things tie together, well just watch and see, but I must warn you, have tissues handy. because this one is a tear jerker. A great movie and definetly worth it.

Summary: pleasing to the eye, but not the brain.
Review: there is no way some of these things could happen. like the oil riggers going into space after only a few days of training, and one nuke can not blow up this asteroid. but this movie made me dry big time, and the special effects were awesome. Over all this movie was all right, and i'd rent it again.

Summary: Quite possibly the worst movie of all time
Review: Not even remotely entertaining. The implications of an asteroid destroying all life on Earth is frightening, suspenseful and action-packed enough without hollywood getting involved but, now that they have, certain things have changed. Here's 10 facts I've learned from watching Armageddon:

1. NASA officials are incompetent to handle matters involving outer space. Such things should be left to brave oil riggers.

2. Mir is now an unstable refueling station.

3. There's plenty of gravity in space - unless you need to jump over a canyon on an asteroid.

4. It only takes 30 minutes to get to the moon.

5. Oil riggers can be trained as competent astronauts in just a couple of days.

6. All space buggies are equipped with .50 caliber chain guns.

7. Some people get "spaaaaace maaaaadness!" er, I mean "space dimentia".

8. Space shuttles can crash land on strange asteroids, take off again and STILL land safely on earth.

9. One nuke can blow an asteroid the size of Texas in half. (Anyone who has ever driven across Texas knows this to be a silly notion)

10. NASA regularly lets pretty girls in sundresses aproach recently landed shuttles ahead of certified personnel wearing radiation suits just so they can give their big, strong boyfriends a hero's welcome.

Like many other people I cried during this movie; I never realized I could feel such sympathy for a rock hurling through space. I would have given this movie 5 stars if the asteroid had destroyed the planet.

Do yourself a favor and skip this one.

Summary: A Must Buy For Everyone
Review: Quite simply the best film ever made. The acting was brilliant apart from the cheesy Russian accent. There are alot of scenes that are very rememberable in Armageddon, such as the Meteor storm at the start which had the amazing shot of an asteroid crashing through 3 sky scrapers in a row. The part where Bruce Willis had the flashback of his daughters life when he detonated the bomb was very moving. There were a few faults in the story line such as when they sling shotted round the moon, because you wouldn't feel G-force in space and also when the shuttle Independence crashes it catches fire but there is no oxygen in space to fuel the fire. Apart from those few nit-picking points, the film was faultless and I loved it. Steve Buscemi was also great by adding alot of one-liners to keep you laughing through the film. If you ever get a DVD rom, make sure this film is at the top of your list.

Summary: Barrel of laughs
Review: This movie was totally ridiculous. The only reason to watch it is the first five minutes, wherein you see several small pieces of the meteor hitting the USA. The story doesn't make any sense, the action is just-above-average. The story is so impropable and predictable, it is actually hilarious. Every 5 minutes in the movie something goes wrong, but guess what ... in the end the hero wins. This is a typical example of an American big budget piece of crap. The special effects aren't that good either. I wonder why such great actors as Steve Buscemi, Liv Tyler, Billy Bob Thornton and Bruce Willis participated in creating this piece of fluf. The pay was probably exceptionally good.

Summary: ACTION PACKED!!
Review: This movie had it all, action, romance, comedy, suspense you name it! The special effects will blow you away! The DVD version looks spectacular! Some solid acting but a weak plot bring down the film.

Summary: C'est bon!
Review: J'aime ce film.Bruce Willis est tres bon et je veux a vois ce une autre heure Est-ce que vous?d'accord merci beaucoup

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Kinda unrealistic, but ok
Review: Ok, the people in NASA probably have about a 99.9% chance of finding a huge astroid earlier than 18 days before impact, but if you can overlook this, the movie is ok. Very good acting and good plot.
