Summary: GOOD, BUT NOT TO GOOD
Review: I think Independance Day was a good film, but again it could of been better, for a start who in there right mind would send the president of the USA up to fight in a plane against an almost invincible opposition, also will smith again plays not a good part but a cheesy part, and he's has got a habbit of getting these parts ( MEN IN BLACK) another rubbish exscuse for a film. But at the end of the day this film had to be made eventually, but even i could have made a film with alot of potential like this one that little much better. Overall it's a good family film, but it's not a film i could watch over and over again, and i don't think anybody in there right mind could either.

Summary: it really deserves zero stars!
Review: trite, unbelieveable, predictable, overrated, mindless Hollywood garbage. Will Smith once agains proves he has no talent. the movie is aimed at pre-adolescents and anyone else who has the brain of one. most Americans will love this since it formulated for their mental capabilities: gum-chomping, mall-inhabiting morons. if this description fits you, well, sit back and enjoy! if not, don't waste a minute of your time with this waste of film.

Summary: Great Summer Flick.
Review: Seriously, everybody loved this movie when it first came out in theaters. It was the toast of the town and quickly turned out to be one of the most talked about summer blockbusters of all time. Besides the terrific specials effects and freaky deaky aliens, it really has some good acting. Not exactly Godfather performances, but what summer explosion/chase/KA-BOOM movie does? I think that the main reason people don't like this movie today is that they've watched it way too many times. People also have some nerve to say that Godzilla was better than this. UGH. Gimme a break, please. Awesome explosions is all you can pretty much ask for in an action movie besides gunplay. A good buy if you're a KA-BLAMMO buff. Not to mention great fun.

Summary: You'll like it; if you have the IQ of a sea urchin!
Review: This flick appears to be a high-budget remake of the George Pal 1953 film "War of the Worlds". An expensive outlay of cash for advertising led people into the theaters pretty much the same way a judas goat leads the innocent lambs up the slaughtering ramp. It's the same old worn-out plot of extraterrestrials attempting to seize our planet by force. If these aliens had the technology to build and maneuver intergalactic spaceships and use weapons to destroy civilizations on a global scale, don't you think they would have made improvements on their evolutionarily-primitive anatomy and physiology? Also, if these creatures had common sense as developed as their technology, instead of exterminating us to extinction, they would have made an attempt to subjugate us to a life of captivity and exploit us as a food source (like the Kanamits did in the Twilight Zone episode "To Serve Man". The extraordinarty special effects are the only thing saving this movie from complete mediocrity and a comparison to "Mars Attacks".

Summary: Good movie, could have been better (graphics were great)
Review: Will Smith gives a good performance, so does Jeff Goldblum. The best part was when the president's wife was found and Vivica Fox said that she was an exotic dancer. That was really funny. There was a lot of truth to the movie.

Summary: Awful
Review: How can anybody find this film good? To me it ranks in the vein of Stargate, another good idea which was poorly executed. They both had the same net result though - a disaster. Bill Pullman was entirely unconvincing as the President; however, he was still ahead in the credibility stakes to the Military advisor, played by Robert Loggia (why not just cast Ernest Borgnine or George Kennedy instead?). This film would have been a flop if not for Will Smith's performance. Whereas the rest of the cast seemed to take the weak script too seriously, Smith's smooth-talking wise-cracks added some well needed relief to the proceedings. But casting aside, the plot was ludicrous, I won't go into too many details but I think the IBM compatible Alien computer and the dog saving incident (who cares when millions of people are dying?) were hilarious. I eagerly await a decent 'Aliens attack the Earth' film.

Summary: Best special effects in a movie so far
Review: Okay okay, so it is all about the effects but isn't that the point of these films?!

If you aren't interested in seeing what it would look like if huge spaceships descended on famed capital cities and blew them to pieces, then how we fight back, don't see the movie. I think all movies are good for what they are...and ID4 has some of the best effects I have ever seen in a movie - ever.

I have watched the film quite a few times and still get a thrill out of seeing the Empire State building blasting from inside out and walls of fire engulfing numerous cities. I thought the idea of tieing in the famous Rosewell incident was quite clever.

I'm sure this movie provided some inspiration for the several following disaster films of the late 90s.

If you want to sit back, relax and enjoy an evening dazzled by spectacular effects, the odd bit of humour and on-going action then definitely watch this movie.

Summary: ID4 is a Bomb !
Review: This movie is so cool. I loved the part when the aliens blew up all of those major cities. I also liked how the movie got started quickly unlike movies such as It came from Beneath the Sea. A must see for any sci-fi fan like me.

Summary: A BLAST!!!
