Summary: WHAT?
Review: What happened to the book. they mutilated the entire plot and most ofthe charecters adding in their own and making some up. the totaly made up the movie as they went along, not bothering to use the book as a guideline for creating the movie. this is a disgrace to michael crichton's book the ;lost world. Burn this movie. after reading this review, if your wondering why i have given it 2 stars instead of 1, it is because of special effects.

Summary: A review from Mr. Entertainment Lover
Review: Move out of the way everyone. Here comes the Lost World. Malcolm must go back to another island to stop Ingen from stealing the dinosours. What looks easy turns out to be shear horror. Chills and thrills start to mount and destruction starts to rise. The Lost World is an edge of your seat adventure. Jeff Goldblum and Pete Postelthwait are positively brilliant in this movie. It's a keeper. Their was only one downside to it. They left out of the dilophousourus (the spitter) I have no idea why. They should have kept him in it. However it is a classic in everyway. Keep up the good work Spielberg.

Summary: A great dinosaur movie for people who know how to have fun!
Review: Lost World is not a perfect movie, but it is a great rollercoaster ride for people who have affection for B-movies. The only things that weaken it are some of the surplus characters, Jeff Goldblum's daughter and his girlfriend. (They have nothing valuable to do but sabotage everyone's efforts to stay safe from harm. They're too needy and have no important reason to be there.) Pete Postlethwaite (Not sure of the spelling!) more than makes up for them. I would have loved to see him and Jeff Goldblum in more scenes together! But, I'm happy with what they've done. This movie is thoroughly entertaining; stupid gymnastic scenes and all.(I laughed out loud!) Both times I saw this movie in the theatre and everyone was just as happy and entertained as I was, no one asked for their money back or cursed in anger. Some people's lives are too complex to take dino-movies sooooo seriously! Lighten up, critics! Let's see if you could do better!

Summary: Atrocious, Contemptible, Contemptuous
Review: The most pathetic waste of film ever to come out of Hollywood. Spielberg owes me my $8 for this load of junk. No script, no characters, just a lot of running and yelling and computer generated special effects, and a surreal message that dinosaurs are better parents than humans. And to think that Spielberg actually released this, thinking that it was fit for audience consumption! This shows the absolute contempt Spielberg has for the movie-going public. Boycott it.

Summary: Why in the World are People Complaining?
Review: This movie was excellent. Frankly I thought it was way better than the book. All the book did was go on forever about Malcolm talking about chaos theories. This movie is a must see for those who appreciate well done pictures. Malcolm, Eddie, Sarah, Kelly, and Nick go to another island in which the dinosaures were created. There they find out that Ingen is trying to move dinosaours off the island. It's then they decide they must stop them. From that moment on the movie takes away your breath and makes you wonder what's going to happen next. I only had one complaint. They didn't have the dilophosaourus (the spitting dinosaur) in this movie. What's with that. He was poisenous and mean. He should have been in it. Still it's a wonderful movie.

Summary: Get your act together Steven!
Review: After being hugely impressed by the first movie I rushed eagerly to the cinema to see its muched hyped sequel - the hype should have warned me. In the usual tradition of sequels it was absolutely awful. The plot was weak from the very beginning, picking out a minor character of the original and bestowing him with a pathetic collection of family problems (oooh, his daughter was kicked off the gymnastics team at school!)and a lame reason for going to "The Lost World". Then I thought, hang on a minute, wasn't this guy a mathmatition? What do you need a mathmatition for in a research team of dinosaurs? Actually, that part I could have dealt with if it hadn't got even worse. The dark portrayal of the evil of corporations and greed - oh please, enough already. And I nearly walked out of the film when the daughter did her little gymnist bar thing to impale the attacking dinosaur. But this is not the end of the ridiculousness, oh no. They had to move the T-rex to San Diego, which was just silly, silly, silly. A really banal and unneccesary rip off of Godzilla, even including the troup of idiot Japanese tourists snapping away with their cameras. It would have been so much better had they just left it when everyone leaves the island. An extra point though as the special effects were quite amazing. The arial shot of the raptors moving through the field of long grass left me breathless, though there was nothing else to compare with the original. Get your act together Steven, we know you can do better than this!

Summary: This movie really is great!
Review: A lot of people don't know what they are talking about. This movie rocked!! One of my favorites along with the first Jurassic Park. I will admit, it wasn't even close to the books greatness, and the daughter in this movie completely pissed me off (she was very annoying). But, it's definately worth the money. I recommend it and the book too!!!!!!
