Summary: What happen to Bruce Wayne's looks?
Review: The first teaming of Batman and Superman was good. Yet,I like to know why they messed up Bruce Wayne's appearance. He looked like a Siberian husky. His new pale skin made him look worse. He was a shell of his former shelf. The mere sight of his new appearance made my skin crawl. Yet, I'm glad that his Batman mask hid his ghastly face. It's a good thing that the cartoonists hardly change Batman's look. They should return to BW's previous look since his new look is scarier than the Batman's appearance.

Summary: Bats And Blue...
Review: The Joker has gotten a hold of 20 lbs. of kryptonite! He abducts Lex Luthor in Metropolis and offers to kill Superman for one billion dollars. Bruce Wayne is also in Metropolis for a business meeting with Luthor. Luthor has secretly made a deal with the Pentagon to use planetary exploration robots for military purposes. This ticks Bruce off, who nixes the whole thing. Meanwhile, Joker kidnaps Lois Lane, using her as bait for Big Blue, who flies to her rescue in an anti-kryptonite suit (Batman warned him of the Joker's scheme). Joker weakens Supes with the kryptonite, after destroying his protective suit with hydrochloric acid. Enter a gaggle of Luthor's giant killer robots sent to terminate both Bats and Blue! Can the Caped Crusader and the Man Of Steel overcome this metallic army of doom? Can they defeat the combined forces of The Joker, Harley Quinn, Lex Luthor and Mercy? Can they put aside their own personal differences as well as their rivalry over Lois Lane? I'm not tellin'! Tons of action! Great wisecracks! Romance! My son and I loved every second! Highly recommended...

Summary: A Disappoionting Meeting Of Batman & Superman
Review: The Long awaited meeting of Batman and Superman was to me a disappointment. The origional Batman The Animated Series had unmatched design and style. It seems that Bruce Timm and Pual Dini have gotten lazy while basking in their success. The "New Look" looks like a half effort; sloppy. Batman, once one with the shadows now struts about in full veiw, his once huge cloak wrapped about him (Looking very cool) now hangs limply from his back. Superman seems slow witted and unaware of his potential, using one power at a time, instead of an effective combination of strength, speed, invulnerability etc. Not to mention the fact that he is battered back by mere bullets. Growing up with Batman The Animated Series, I expected a better effort from Timm and Dini. Stop hiding behind more violence and explosions and turn out some quality work, guys. Thanks for your time

Summary: Why can't they do live action like this?
Review: The pairing of the world's two greatest superheros (Batman first, Supes second, of course) has never been done well. Until The Batman Superman Movie, that is. Dini, Timm and crew are the first to capture the relationship between the Bat and the Boyscout that has existed for decades in the comics.

Wonderful movie, and I love the new animation style! Crisp, easy to follow, and often copied by many new comic artists.

Summary: A Little Short...but AWESOME nontheless!
Review: The video and audio quality are superb on this disc. The extras are just ok, but I'm just thankful there's any at all. This is the ultimate telling of the meeting of both of these heros. I absolutely ADORE the love triangle aspect with Lois Lane. I also like how they changed Batman's animation model slightly, as they did in Justice League as well. A great story that doesn't leave any character undeveloped. The driving force of the story is a Batman/Joker conflict, but Supes and the rest add a lot of color. BRING ON THE SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES DVDS!

Summary: The World's Finest Heroes Finally Together!
Review: This animated offering from producer/writer Paul Dini pairs D.C. Comics' greatest assets, Superman and Batman. It is an excellent introduction to the two costumed champions' relationship, which has evolved into a very complex symbiosis over nearly 60 years of co-existence. The animation is first rate, as is expected, and the voice-over work is excellent, especially that of Tim Daly as the stalwart Man of Steel, and Kevin Conroy as the surprising witty Dark Knight. Look for great performances by Star Wars' Mark Hamill as the fiendish Joker, and Highlander's Clancy Brown as the always diabolical Lex Luthor. Good stuff for both kids and adults. END

Summary: One of the best crossovers!
Review: This had to be one of the best crossovers I've seen out of the WB animated series. The portral of the Dark Knight meeting Blue Boy is so well thought out. Also, Lex and The Joker aren't like their cheesy Super Friends counterparts. They fight and even back stab like true crimminals! Batman and Superman share a very big uneasiness between each other that shows! I recommended this for all DC fans!

Summary: Great, but needs an Updated release
Review: This is a great installment of the animated series for both Batman & Supes. It shows a realistic portrayal of their relationship (they don't get along) and a smart story as well. However, with the release of both Batman: The Animated Series & Superman: The Animated Series box sets, there needs to be some revisions to this disc. This "movie" is actually three episodes from when the WB used to run Batman & Supes' adventures together during the same hour long program. 30 minutes of Batman, 30 minutes of Superman. Five of these episodes, however, featured Bats and "Big Blue" together in the same episode. The first installment was the 3-part "World's Finest" presented here on this disc. They need to re-release this disc with the other two crossovers so us Batman fans don't have to buy Superman season-boxes (& vice versa), just to get these last two episodes. In addition to "World's Finest," there was "Knight Time" in which Bruce Wayne is kidnapped and Superman donns the Batman costume to find him w/ Robin. The final crossover is "The Demon Reborn," where Ras Al Ghul kidnaps Supes to drain his strength and Batman saves him. That would be 5 great episodes one disc containing all the Batman/Superman crossovers in one convenient package. So let's go WB...please.

Summary: Insert "World's Finest" cliche here.
Review: This is it. With all the talk about a live Superman/Batman movie, why look further? This is a great action cartoon, a lot of fun, and an interesting look at these two character archetypes. Kids and adults would dig this show.

Summary: Frighteningly Real
Review: This may be an animated movie, but it is excellent in every sense of the word. In this tape we see that Batman and Superman are selfless heroes, but they are not without human weaknesses. Despite their benevolent characters, their egos make it difficult to work with each other at times. As someone who cherishes the writings of Charles Dickens, I have noticed that Dickens is usually careful not to make his heroes perfect. (Usually they have at least some human flaws.) The Joker and Harley Quinn STEAL this movie. Whatever people may have thought of the Joker up to this point, NO ONE is likely to underestimate him now. First he quickly hammers down the local thugs and lets them know it's either their loyalty or else. He finds the weaknesses of his opponents, takes advantage of the dissension between Batman and Superman, and fights them both quite well. Despite their crimes the Joker and Harley are a real lovable couple. They function as a team, they stand by each other, and it is clear that their relationship is a happy one. Lex seems little more than the Joker's stooge in this movie. The Joker manipulates him to get a shot at Superman; later the Joker's fight starts to spell trouble for Lex; Lex makes the fatal error of thinking he can outsmart the Joker and Harley; all too late, Lex realizes that PSYCHOTIC DOES NOT EQUAL STUPID!!! I never forgot the chills I felt when the Joker and Harley Quinn flipped the tables on the naive Lex. It is in this movie that we can see why the Joker and Harley Quinn are Batman's most dangerous enemies. The minds of most criminals follow a pattern and they hope to gain something. Usually they will not bother with criminal activity that digresses from their goal. The Joker and Harley Quinn DO NOT follow this pattern. Any kind of chaos gives them joy, and they do not have to gain anything to win. Their total revenge on the helpless Lex shows us just how dangerous the Joker and Harley Quinn are. What is even more frightening is that throughout this movie, it is so easy to cheer for the Joker and Harley Quinn every step of the way. In all honesty this movie never drags. So we have a great story, super heroes that display heroic benevolence as well as human weaknesses, and a tour of psychotic terror by the Joker and Harley Quinn. If you like Batman or Superman, you will not want to miss this movie.
