Summary: Not bad but not that great either...
Review: It was interesting to see Superman and Batman interacting...I think the story could've been better done. Lex Luthor was pretty much a supporting character and letting the Joker pretty much run the whole show. Hopefully, we'll all be treated a lot better if WB decides to do this again. If you want to catch a good Batman Animated movie..check out Mask of the Phantasm and you will not be disappointed. If you're a hard core Batman or Superman fan, this movie is all right but if you're not..then I would recommend something else...

Summary: It's more a Batman movie then Superman.
Review: It's a bit one sided of a film where the viewpoint is told more then Batman's point of view then Superman. Unlike earlier team-up films, the two heroes never really trust each other, even when they are trying to stop the Joker and Lex Luthor from carrying out their evil plans. Featureing the voice acting of Tim Daley and Kevin Conroy. Story is hampered by the Bruce Wayne/Lois Lane romance, which clearly serves no useful purpose other then getting Clarke Kent's temper up. But what really makes this movie so over-rated is the almost manga style animation that they used to draw the characters. It looks too cartoonish and makes the heroes look like one sided drawings with little or no body movement.

Summary: Great to see a film version of these two titans
Review: Its great to see just a hint of some of the animosity between Bats and Superman evident in comics and graphic novels. The design is sleek and the plot is well formulated (even pitting Bruce Wayne as a suitor for Lois Lane). Not a disappointent for fans of the acclaimed Batman series and the less successful Superman series.

Summary: Best Superhero story EVER
Review: Many people have ripped on this movie for being improbable (Ex: could Batman toss Superman around?) and that it looks less impressive than the previous Batman animation, but all of that is nit picking that distracts you from a well told, well thought out, well executed story. We get to learn more about these characters than we have in all 4 of the live action Batman movies, plus we get a wonderful set-up and conflict, pitting everyone against each other. Timm and Dini are obvious fans of these worlds and know what they would like to see from the characters, and that's to have them all be rivals, not instant, simple friends. The electricity during the first meetings between good guys and bad guys is great, and they manage to carry that through to the end. It's too bad more people can't get past the hang-ups to see that this is a great show.

Review: My son is a real batman fan and I was trying to avoid the PG and PG-13 rated violence of recent films. I bought this because of its G rating. The first five minutes alone were filled with guns, shooting, and fighting. It is an awful film for children to watch!! I would much rather him see a sex scene than this movie. Even the good guys are jealous and vindictive.

Summary: A Loving Homage to Comic Books of My Youth
Review: One of life's questions yet to be answered is "Who is better, Batman or Superman?" Well, the response sought for is not revealed in this well-made and tremendously entertaining film. The story involves the uneasy first meeting between the two superheroes and a shared interest in one Lois Lane. Thus, the pair forms a strained alliance when forced to combat the team composed of their respective nemeses Lex Luthor and The Joker. Such a real-life quality adds realism to the highly fictional world of comic book endeavors. Hey, superheroes have problems, too! As far as the actors providing the exemplary voice work, each is superb in their roles. Tim Daly and Kevin Conroy give just the right balance for their animated counterparts' dual personalities. Clancy Brown's deep resonance has an aristocratic and arrogant air about it that makes him the perfect Lex Luthor. Dana Delaney as the very independent Lois Lane is quite good. Arleen Sorkin shines in her role as Harley Quinn, Joker's sidekick who is as "far off the deep end" as is The Clown Prince of Crime. But it is Mark Hamill who really rises to the occasion in a truly over-the-top performance as the Joker. Forget Nicholson or even TV's Caesar Romero! Hamill is the Joker. His utterances and nuances in every line delivered are brilliant. I can remember Tim Curry winning an Emmy several years ago for his work on the animated Peter Pan series. Hamill has done no less. His mantle deserves some tangible reward. Maybe, it will be our appreciation for his masterful performance in this film that will be recognition enough.
