Rating: Summary: It's the only movie I have ever bought Review: A must-see for science fiction fans. Without reiterating all the other positive comments you've read, this is the first movie I ever noticed the original costuming (and a futuristic soundtrack). This movie will certainly be a favorite for both my wife and me for years to come.
Rating: Summary: Fifth Element Deserves The Fifth Star! Review: The "Fifth Element" deserves all five stars. The characters are creative, the story is interesting, Bruce Willis is convincing...do I need to mention Milla Jovovich? Buy it.
Rating: Summary: Excellent performance Review: Only after the tenth or eleventh time, this one begins to get old. People seem to be of two opinions about this movie: they love it or hate it. If you liked both Blade Runner and Indiana Jones, this one is probably for you. If you're expecting a deep movie, it isn't. This one isn't deep, it's pure fun.
Rating: Summary: Not a good movie. Review: The landscapes are very pretty but the storyline, acting, and creatures need alot of work. This movie is not very good. Bruce Willis does crap throughout the movie until near the end whe he has to save everyone. LeLu's voice id very very annoying. The enemy creature are sooo plastic looking it is sickening. My Opinion, Dont waste your money.
Rating: Summary: great story line bruce willis plays the role perfectly Review: it's a great movie. the girl with the wierd body and the alien mind in great.
Rating: Summary: This is a must see movie Review: Very Very good movie!!!!!!!!! I have rented this movie what, 20 times, and I still need to buy it. This is a must see performance by Chris Tucker as a flamer! Bruce Willis is extroidinary.
Rating: Summary: Pleasantly mindless sci-fi fun Review: Featuring Bruce Willis in his now-standard role of gritty, wisecracking action hero, a manifestation of pure evil that makes long-distance phone calls under the pseudonym "Mr. Shadow", a manifestation of pure good that talks like a Teletubby, a dubious plot that seems to be mere pretext to show lots of explosions and have Milla Jovanovich (sp?) do acrobatic things without a lot of clothing on, and so many action sequences that they all eventually just run together, the Fifth Element ain't exactly brain food. It is, however, completely over-the-top and thoroughly entertaining (in much the same way that recent, similarly hyperactive Willis vehicle Armageddon wasn't), with particularly noteworthy sets and effects and even occasional funny bits. Great fun if you can suspend disbelief for two hours.
Rating: Summary: Derivative, undemanding sci-fi yarn Review: It's watchable and looks pretty, but the viewer is never sure whether to immerse themselves in the (extremely flimsy) plot or to play "spot the rip-off" from Blade Runner, Alien, Total Recall, Hardware etc. It's a mildly amusing couple of hours spent, but I just cannot believe the number of reviewers who've lowered their standards enough to give this 5 stars! C'mon folks, this ain't a classic!
Rating: Summary: This movie just plain rocks. Review: There are just some movies that go all the way - this is one of them. It's got romance. It's got aliens. It's got big guns. What else could you ask for? Oh yeah: it's also got a plot. The SFX are very good, apart from the Diva (reminiscent of a infamous purple dinosaur), the music works well, the acting is excellent. It's a member of my DVD collection, and it'll stay there.
Rating: Summary: wow! Review: This movie is surreal! Its like your wierdest dream. Definately worth seeing.
