Rating: Summary: Not perfect. 4 and a half stars, really Review: Two years after the popular tv series Cowboy Bebop finishes airing, this is released. I must say that it is not as good as the show, but has the same vibrant art, all star casting (Megumi!), and awesome character design. One thing I love about this disc is that it has interviews with the voice actors behind the English and Japanese casting. Therefore, you finally SEE Megumi! Cowboy Bebop fans, rejoice!
Rating: Summary: If the series is cool, the movie is 20x cooler. Review: Wow. Just wow. As an avid fan of the series, I just had to see the movie, and let me tell you something it is nothing like what I imagined. It's as if the creators took an already fantastic series and raised it to its maximum exponent. The art is glorious! Very beautifully drawn, and it has a flow like no other. Having seen the movies of many other animes, I have become skeptical at them; usually movies of animes are just shredded versions of something good. This is NOT the case with Cowboy Bebop. The characters and overall feeling of the series are intact but at the same time I imagine someone who has not seen it will enjoy it just the same.I'd recommend this movie to ANYONE, whether they are anime fans or not, or if they aren't really into Cowboy Bebop, how could you NOT love this movie! A definite must have.
Rating: Summary: The Best Film of 2003 - No Kidding Review: This film has: - A perfect story - Interesting characters - Fantastic visuals - Amazing fight scenes and it is Cowboy Beebop! What more could you ask for? I paid to see this in a theatre, when it was over, it received a standing ovation from the packed theatre. I hope that Sunrise/Emotion makes another one, or two, or three or...
Rating: Summary: Great Example of Anime Awesomeness! Review: If you like the series, you'll love this movie. If you've never seen Cowboy Bebop, but you like a good action flick, you'll still love this movie. There's just enough tie-in with the series to keep fans of the series interested, and it has all the excitement and quality of a good live-action action movie. It also has an excellent soundtrack. This DVD is also packed with cool special features which any anime fan would appreciate.
Rating: Summary: BEBOP IS GORGEOUS! Review: They finally came out with a BEBOP Movie and it is about as good as the Show and you should know that Cowboy Bebop is my Favorite Show EVER! This Movie has better Graphics then the Show in some scenes and almost makes it look realistic. Just the BEST Anime EVER! No doubt about it!
Rating: Summary: Where is the Bebop? Review: I'm a real big fan of the Cowboy Bebop series. I bought all the DVD series.. and I read much articles about it on the web. When I heard the news that the movie's gonna be released on US, I literally shaked with the delight. But after watching the movie, I'm disappointed. It doesn't have any good plot.. yeah, it's good as usual but I don't think it's good enough to be a movie. There are tons of special features that satisfied me a bit. I know the cowboy beeop's best thing is the music.. But this movie there ins't any bebop jazz.. the music in the movie doesn't sound like the TV series. It's plain bad.. boring.. for me, this movie isn't worth to keep.. just rent it somewhere.
Rating: Summary: Pretty splendid Review: great anime. If you like anime you will greatly enjoy this one. good fighting scenes, especially at the starting.
Rating: Summary: COWBOY BEBOP RULEZ!!! Review: I've just seen this movie lately, and have to say that it's the best anime film I've seen in a long time next to "Akira" & "Spirited Away". I've seen almost every episode of "Cowboy Bebop" (except for some of the last ones.:( ) and I loved this movie A LOT! This is actually supposed to be an extended episode from the series but was obviously meant for a theatrical release. "Knockin' On Heavens Door" is said to take place before the conclusion of the series and includes all original characters (my favorite being Spike.) from the Japanese T.V. show. The plot is where Spike and friends have to stop an evil military soldier, Vincent, who's out to launch a deadly virus upon makind!! To make matters worse, Vincent becomes immune to the virus while verybody else appears to be getting killed from it! The best part in the movie for me would have to be the battle with Spike against Vincent aboard the monorail. (it had the MOST action.) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE IF YOU ARE A TRUE 'BEBOP' FAN! I GUARANTEE YOU WON'T BE DISAPOINTED!!! ^_^ (btw, be sure to pick up the complete "Cowboy Bebop" collection on VHS/DVD too!)
Rating: Summary: The Dark Side of Bebop Review: Spike Spiegel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine and Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tirvrusky the Fourth (Ed) have their own movie! It begins with them going after the biggest bounty ever set. What's thought to be a virus has been unleashed as an act of bioterrorism upon the planet of Mars, and Bebop is after the culprit. Military secrets and an official named Electra intensify the plot. Halloween is coming fast and so is the threat to spread the fatal virus to every person on the planet. It's up to the crew of Bebop to save the day, but they're not doing this for free. It's action and soul from beginning to end in this greatly admired film. If you're looking for the upbeat and jazzy Bebop that we've all come to know and love, don't expect to be overjoyed with Knockin' on Heaven's Door. Direction Shinichiro Wantanabe explores the deeper realms of the animation world with this astoundingly wonderful film. Yoko Kanno delivers her usual collection of broadly appealing music that anyone can tap a foot or sing their heart out to. Although I greatly enjoyed this movie, I was a little bit disappointed that the lighter side of Cowboy Bebop was few and far between. Despite that fact, even the non-Bebop fan can sit down and be fascinated with this movie. It entertains.
Rating: Summary: Wooo Hoo! Review: This was a great movie. However, it is definately the best in Japanese. The dubbed version cut out ALOT of good lines....what a shame. It was definately awesome though...meets up to expectations. Go Bebop!
