Summary: A MUST SEE MOVIE
Review: I am not a movie fan. I have seen this movie three times and in three different cities. This is one of the rare movies that everyone can find interesting. This is the movie for anyone that has ever wondered if we are just a speck of dirt on the tip of the tail of a small dog.

Summary: A Must See
Review: I am not a Reeves fan but this is by far his best work. SciFi has been lacking somewhat here lately but the concept and originality of this movie make it a welcome addition. Fishburn is outstanding, the rest of the cast are good but the special affects make the difference. If your a SciFi fan but are tired of the same old stories (time travel, alien invasions, Star Trek or any other concept that has been thouroghly run into the ground) then this is a must see movie.

Summary: this movie completely rocks!!!
Review: I am not generally into sci-fi flicks but this movie is intense. I didnt expect much from Keanau Reeves but he did a marvelous job with his acting. The special effects were incredible, the soundtrack was fitting, and the production was brilliant. This is one of the first movies I have wanted to watch a second time over in a very long time. The DVD version only makes this film more beautiful. Three thumbs up!

Summary: Worth buying and watching at least once a week!
Review: I am not going to get into any sci-fi philosophy of this movie because it may scare some away. Here is what you do to really enjoy this movie. The first time you watch, just do that, watch it do not think about everything that is going on just watch, and absorb it. Second time pay more attention to the movie, think about it, ponder all the ideas in it. Third time look for things and lines you did not see or make sense. When all this is done watch it again and realize you are watching a great movie. Keanu and Laurence give great performances and are a great duo. The plot is a little complicated, but makes the movie great. I can not wait to see more of "Neo (Keanu)" being the "chosen one" in the sequels! When he does at the end of this movie it is bad ass!

Summary: action-suspense-romance...WHat else could you want?
Review: I am not one for martial arts but I will say that this movie showcased martial arts in a way that will make ANYONE a fan. The premise behind this plot was disturbing-but it made you think, "Is this possible," "Will the world one day come to this"... Please see this film, the effects are to entertaining to miss, the actors/actresses all very talented, and the plot VERY original!

Summary: Jar Jar and the Mummy can go jerk each other off.
Review: I am one of the few people (myself and girlfriend) who has seen this movie in three different languages. English, French, and German... Capturing that innocent fun, like that of the original Star Wars, and combining it with the philosophical and mythical overtones that this movie has is quite an accomplishment. My pick for best movie of the year.

Summary: worst movie ever?
Review: I am saddened and dismayed that I wasted over two hours of my life trying to understand this worthless set of pictures they call a movie. I openly admit that I didn't understand it, but what on earth is the point of a movie that 1% of the population can easily comprehend? The special effects were highly overrated. With what computers can do today, why was anyone shocked at the "great" effects? Everyone says they understand the movie, but do they really? I may be the only one that didn't jump on the Matrix bandwagon, but I'm proud to say that this is the worst movie I've ever seen

Summary: Disturbingly good
Review: I am starting to frighten myself and my family because I can't stop watching (or thinking about) this movie. How did Andy and Larry do this? This is on my top five list of the greatest movies that I have ever seen in my life (so far). I know all of the music, lines, all of the moves, expressions, colors, textures, sound effects, I even have The Matrix dolls in my house. And, to make matters worse, I actually like Keanu Reeves now! He was great in this movie (mostly because the directors wisely didn't give him too many lines). Lawrence Fishburne with his vibe and his voice put this movie on the map. Carrie-Anne Moss, a strong, beautiful, intelligent woman. The directors didn't fill the movie with typical hollywood steroetypes, everyone is helping everyone survive. Mark my words, Lawrence, K.N. and eveyone else in the movie are now cult figures! Check this movie out at least two times. And it must be on DVD. For all of you people without a DVD player, get with it, get one and get this movie. Let's hope that the two directors and their team can focus and keep it together for the sequels.

Summary: One of the best movies ever
Review: I am the type of person that when I see a movie in the theaterI see it once and only once. However, The Matrix impressed me so much, that I have seen it 4 times in the theater, and one time on a hotel pay-per-view. It is not just a movie packed with fancy special effects, but it has an excellent story, amazing action scenes and a phenominal collection of actors. I promised myself after the fifth viewing, it would be the first DVD that I would purchase. And it will be.

Summary: Another gothic sci fi...
Review: I am tired of sci fi that borrows heavily from Blade Runner (gothic sets), Men in Black (more dark glasses), and Superman (shiny leather-clad femme fatale).

I was disappointed. The biblical references are arrogant and obvious (trinity, zion, etc).
