Review: This is a real roller-coaster of special effects. But the plot left something to be desired, and got rather confusing. The continuous "escapes" got to the point of being ridiculous, so much so that it got funny even when it wasn't supposed to be. It reminded me of the unbelievably over-done action scenes in "The Guns of Navarone", an old war movie. We laughed our heads off at that one. The only thing that I can forgive about this one is that after all, IT IS SCIENCE FICTION. It would be interesting to know the age of people who write these reviews. That might explain a lot!

Summary: This was the best movie I ever saw!!
Review: This is a really cool movie about a guy named Neo that's offered to go into "The Matrix." He becomes on of their strongest fighters. He ends up having to save their leader Morphius with the help of one of his fellow Matrix people Trinity. I'm not going to give it away but if you like action/fighting movies you'll love this one!

Summary: Excellent flick
Review: This is a separate genre, almost. First time I saw it I was disappointed because I had read the review of the film at Wired News (I think the writer was wired up to something, but it wasn't to the film). The film stayed at a local theatre for almost 5 mos. I later went to see the film a second time out of boredom one day and with no expectations. I actually liked it the second time. It took two viewings to understand the film and to capture the essence of this particular genre. From an entertainment point of view it's worth seeing and owning. It is unique in the way that Blade Runner is unique--not your average SciFi film--definetly better than the recent Star Wars bore (I actually fell asleep during the middle of Star Wars).

Summary: THOSE WHO LIKE TO THINK WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE
Review: This is a thinking-person's movie. If sex and violence in movies is your thing, then stay way from this because it'll knock your socks off. You might want to study Christianity, some Eastern religions, and New Age-ism due to the inclusion of all these aspects into the movie. If you do, the movie will come even more alive to you. And then there's the FX. Outstanding! They're the type that makes you want to leave the theatre and take on everyone around you with the moves displayed in the movie. But spend more time thinking and less time on the adrenaline rush. You will find so much more.

Summary: Keanu is THE ONE
Review: This is a truly great film. The premise is fascinating, the groundbreaking effects and the cast superb, the script full of poetic ideas that spark the imagination...but it all rests on Keanu Reeves. He IS Neo. No other actor could have done this...the innocence/wisdom, the physical grace. Like a god/prince in the quest for truth, the part fits him like a velvet glove and he makes the most of it. It's a film that must be seen several times...it can't be absorbed in one or two viewings. This is easily the best sci-fi adventure I've ever seen, and Keanu is magnificent. Who could ask for anything more !
