This DVD is also the best test of you DVD player with the best special FX ever and mind blowing stunts. After watching THE MATRIX you will be wish you could walk on walls :) just watch it already.

Review: The Matrix is a definite eye popper because the action sequences and visual effects are seamingly unmatched by any other movie (aside from the Star Wars series). The Matrix also asks the questions, "what if you woke up one day, and your life as you knew it was never truly a real life?" I really don't like to give too much away when telling people about the Matrix because I've found out that when you tell them about the story, they always come back with, "that's O.k. I've seen Dark City before".

Don't get me twisted, Dark City is very good, but the Matrix is really different from it. This one won't disappoint you at all. The Matrix is definitely worth buying and adding to your collection because it's a great Sci Fi movie, Action Movie (lots of fight scenes and martial arts) and the story keeps you very intrigued. Cool movie 5 stars, check it out!

Review: The Matrix is a fabulous movie. Not just anyone can appreciate the brilliance of this film so it is only for a certain audience. But to that audience it is one of the most intelligent and fascinating movies of all time. Also, the soundtrack is equally as good.

It addresses issues such as: Truth is not always reality, and reality is not always truth; humans as the "alien-other'; and the archetype of death and resurrection through the spiritual love of femininity as compassion. An excellent study of archetypes through cross-genre structure. A cult-film for the 90s, and an excellent candidate for the study of film criticism.

Review: The Matrix is a fantastic movie, but beyond the entertaining aspect, it is one of the first movies to completly integrate the networked world that reality is quickly becoming. It refers to so many aspects of the "computer" culture that you realise how much networks & machines are really part of our everyday life now. In that sense, it is not really a Sci-Fi flick, there is no space / time travel, there are no composite gama rays/laser guns or technologicaly advanced aliens ... instead, there are networks, artificial intelligence, computer games and other concepts we are alreday familiar with. That is why this movie has become a classic for me. Plus you get all that amazing action, mind blowing special effects, great music, mythical themes and everything to make this movie the movie of the 3rd millenium.
