Summary: a must see for anyone who likes a great story
Review: The Matrix combines stunning visual effects with an incredible, thought-provoking storyline to create one of the best movies ever made. The use of computer graphics makes the visual effects incredibly realistic and also helps to make the story more believable. There are so many things about this movie that make you think about things that you have never thought of before. Go and see this movie, and I guarantee that you won't regret it. After walking out of the theater, I was stunned out how well this movie was put together.

Summary: One word: WOW!
Review: The Matrix could be viewed as a turning point in modern movies. It was the first major production that introduced the idea that the world isn't what it seems. Lots of the special effects were created for the movie. I thought the whole thing was very innovative.
Thomas Anderson was a fairly normal guy. He had a day job with a respectable programming company, and he did a little less honest business on the side. The only thing that was wrong was that he was looking for the answer to a question: what is the matrix? Unfortunately, no one can be told what the matrix is, but they can be shown. Somewhat to his dismay, he was shown. Some problems arise, as you may have suspected, and Anderson, better known as Neo, finds a nice violent solution. Generally I avoid 'R' movies, but this one is an exception. I would say that only reason it was 'R' was because of the disturbing, sci-fi themes; anyone without a firm, established belief about life may end up a little rattled by the end of the movie.

Summary: The Matrix better then Star Wars?
Review: The Matrix could quite possibly "the movie" to surpass Star Wars as the greatest FX movie ever. Yes you have to admit Star Wars was a pioneer but look at what The Matrix has done to expand the FX film industry. I myself am a huge Star Wars fan but in many aspects The Matrix is better then Star Wars: Episode 1.

Summary: Sci-fi/action with effects that define the new millennium
Review: The MATRIX creates surrealistic view of humanity verses technology with technology winning out -- or so it seems. The story tells of humans being slaves to living machines, but kept in a virtual world to prevent any uprising. Ironically, to tell the story -- new technology makes it happen. But, it was the genius of the Wachowski brothers, their insight of what to present, the extra effort of the cast and crew that make the unreal -- real, the impossible -- possible. Once again, the human spirit endures.

Summary: Matrix Is An Innovative Cinematic Masterpiece
Review: The Matrix defies all barriers in cinematic moviemaking. I'm not saying that the acting is simply superb and is Oscar worthy but the special effects are what all the buzz is about. The directors Larry and Andy Wachowski skillfully use the infamous "bullet time." That's when a bullet is shot, time seems to be frozen in individual frames, giving the person being shot at a whole lot of time to dodge bullets. Also, when every karate move is shot, they are made into a piece of art.
The film is about "the Matrix" a computer generated fantasy that our regular world is living in. I don't know if this has any spiritual meaning. A computer hacker junky (Keanu Reeves) is given the opportunity to look at the thing he's been searching for forever the real world. One day, he finds a message on his computer. It says to follow the white rabbit. He does, following a girl with a tattoo, to a club. There he meets Trinity (brilliantly played by Carrie Anne Moss) a girl who will tell "Mr. Anderson" the secrets of the Matrix. One event leads into another. Now, "Mr. Anderson" is Neo of a group of sort of rebels trying to outwit the agents. The agents are a group of three, part of an alien race who took over the Earth a long time ago. Agent Smith, in particular, seems the most bloodthirsty and has a taste for vengeance. The band of rebels include Morpheous, the wise leader and father figure. Then there's Mouse, Cypher, Tank, Dozer, and two others, whose names I seemed to have forgotten. Their mission is to try and show others the real world. Not the Matrix but the world from real eyes. The Matrix II: Reloaded is the sequel. Be prepared for an eye dazzler.

Summary: Special effects wizardry
Review: The Matrix does have some spectacular moments and everyone looks extremely cool. But it takes a long time getting started and the sunglasses really started to annoy me at times. Still, good fun.

Summary: The thinking man's best choice for action entertainment
Review: The Matrix does on thing better than any movie I've ever seen: It never leaves any parts open for you to become bored and stare at the wall until the next interesting scene comes along. At one point action-oriented movies were my life, yet later on i found a new reason to watch films. My interest turned to drama and light comedy, where i discovered many good films. I had yet to see, though, a movie that perfectly blended so many aspects that make movies entertaining into one feature-length film. The Matrix is pure genius, of a kind that cannot be achieved by accident. Superb, excellent, outstanding fun.
