Summary: At least they tried!!!
Review: I have to be honest here. I had to see this movie twice, NOT because I liked it, but because the first time I fell asleep in the theater, My girlfriend woke me up a few times, when she thought something was good (she only woke me up like 2 times).
When I saw it the second time I went to the IMAX theater, to see it again (but for the first time, follow me) I didn't like the movie at all. But give *** stars because The special effects were good (nothing compared to LORD OF THE RINGS), I give credit to the creators of the movie. This is one of those movies you go watch NOT because you really like it, but because for some reason People try to get you involved...

Summary: I honestly enjoyed it.
Review: This was a good film. I really thought it was very well done for a sequel and it was a good movie on it's own as well. It helps if you've seen the first though.
I really couldn't find very much wrong with it but for some reason my friends complained about it as well as some adults. I'll agree there's a lot of talking in some parts but most of it helps add to the story. The scene with Neo and Trinity well you know going to the bedroom is annoying though and really could have been chopped down a lot.The action scenes are good though and seeing Neo fly is really neat as well as his Kung-Fu moves and Morpheus sword swinging is fun to watch.
The story's good too. All in all it's very enjoyable.

Summary: The Matrix Reloaded- Much More Fun, Much Less of a Story
Review: The Matrix Reloaded was an exciting sequel set apart from most sequels we've seen throughout the years. The Matrix, which was a global phenomenan in 1999, sparked up much attention and was a different type of film loaded with creativity. The plot essentially is Neo is trying to find out if he is the one along with Trinity (Carrie Anne-Moss) and Morpheous (Laurence Fishburne). Neo must try to protect the city of Zion. Zion, the last human city could possibly be destroyed by the machines which are quickly rising.
The film sort of has a contrast to T3 in a sense. The action sequenecs were nothing short of spectacular, the CGI and FX were excellent. The "Burly Brawl" and highway car chase sequences truly are new, creative and dazzling. I didn't miss out on this one in theatres and I'm very glad I didn't, I'm dying to see The Matrix Revolutions (due out Nov. 5, 2003). The DVD comes out October 14, and I'm looking foward to purchasing it. Though the story of "Reloaded" is not complete since we have to rely on the third film to complete it, which many people haven't realized I think. It's still worthwhile. With much sophistication and deeply more philosophical themes this film can be much of a corker. Though "Reloaded" could nearly have been PG-13 with the ezception of some sexual content. The adrenaline pumping mayhem is mostly bloodless. There are mainly martial fights, no colossal shootouts in this one unfortunately. The sexuality is reasonably steamy but nongrpahic. There's also an orgistic dance scene, which was quite gratuitous. The only reason for the sex scene and the Zion orgy was to have this film earn and "R" rating, otherwise it could've easily earned a "PG-13." There's also some crude dialogue/profanity. The Matrix Reloaded is rated R for Sci-Fi Violence and Some Sexuality. See it!

Summary: Matrix = invovative. Reloded = EXTRAORDINARY speical
Review: I love Matrix everything. The games the movies and so forth. I hate most things pop, because when it come to pop anything like movies or music they usually have ABSOLUSTLY nothing to offer. But that is corporate America and dumb minded Americans for you. The Matrix is Pop, but at the same time if you bother to take 2 seconds out of your mundane thought process of money and fitting in, then you can see that the Matrix, the game, and the squeal(s) are all much deeper than most people can see. The matrix was one of the most original movies ever made period, most people don't disagree on that point. So why do I think I that Reloaded is even better. Becaues it is EVEN BETTER. Yes matrix was innovative. GET PAST IT!!!!!!! Look at star wars. The first was innovative beyond all belief, but after a couple of years of after the trilogy came out, the majority of people think that EMIPRE STRIKES BACK is the better of the three movies, not the most innovative, but still the best. Reloaded is the same way. With movie previews and reviews, and behind the scenes most movies are ruined these days. With Reloaded I was STILL amazed at what it had to offer. HERE is the MAIN reason, one of many. The fight scene with 100 Agent smiths never ends, YET never gets boring, only more intense and more amazing. Tears literality came to my eyes because I didn't want to blink. Okay.... EVERY one complains about the Architect. OKAY shallow minded movie watchers. the ARCHETCT says SOOOooooooooooooooooo MUCH that is SOOOOOOoooooooooooo DEEP it isn't even FUNNY. Just listen, don't complain. THINK!!!!!!!! Everything he says is VERY important to the Matrix universe. This is inst a Sci-Fi adventure. This is an Innovative special effect movie that enters sci-fi concepts that have never been explored to this depth before and in this detail. I have rated over 600 movies on a scale of 10. Matrix got a 10. Matrix Reloaded got an 11 because I didn't blink once. I cried more in Reloaded than in any other movie ONLY because I didn't blink the WHOLE movie. Don't give this movie a bad rating just because you can't see into the deepness of it all. Come on. Look at the references it has to Jesus and the Bible. NEO = ONE. Resurrection. Zion falls and rises. If you actually take time to open something called your mind, reloaded is one the deepest movies ever. Not to mention the STAR WARS trilogy of our generation. Think of ALL the parallels to George Lucas. Think of all the things the Walkalski brothers borrowed from Lucas, and made 100 time better and cooler (I am still a huge star wars fan so don't take this the wrong way, but everything at some level can be improved). Reloaded pulls off scenes that will NEVER be copied or recreated for five maybe even 10 or 15 years from now, only because of the cost and complexity, but that is a GREAT thing. Reloaded will live on, along with Matrix 1,2,3 as one of the greatest sci-fi trilogy of ALL TIME. Star Wars VS. Matrix Trilogy. I give it a TIE. ONLY because of the 20+ year time difference. Note: the new star wars are absolute GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!! Final words: The two or three fight scenes (really good ones) are the best EVER filmed in a movies PERIOD!!!! NO ARGUMENT. When the trucks collide: it is the most realistic\coolest explosion I have EVER seen in a movie. The ending: CLASSIC!!!!!! Could not have ended better. Why you ask? Because it leaves you asking what in the world is going to happen next. And what a "good (GREAT)" writer wants is a response out of the audience no matter what it is. WELL YOU GET IT THIS MOVIE FOR SURE. BEST SCI-FI EVER? YES!!!! With out a drought. Star wars MOVE OVER, Neo is here to kick your but. If you are looking for a DEEP (weather you can understand it or not that is your problem), Action packed, Sci-fi, Martial Arts\John Woo movie then please don't listen to the people that have complaints about this movie. Because they are shallow and mundane and not thought through. I hope I helped you. I hope you Love the movie even HALF as much as I did

Review: I'm alittle confused by previous reviews.I think it was a great action movie sequel. Not only did the action scenes blow me away but the twists and turns of the plot were excellent.Matrix reloaded was the perfect sequel...no not as original but it did take us further down that rabbit hole.

Summary: Up, up and away - Neo is superman without a cape
Review: The Matrix reloaded is not a bad movie but it was a bit of a disappointment. While I did enjoy the movie overall, I felt that there were too many references to Superman. Granted that this is Warner Brothers and they made the Superman movies but I think the references to Superman should have been left out.

Also I did not like the idea that Zion is constantly destroyed and then rebuilt. What is up with that? It is explained as a flaw in the program and that Neo's purpose is to fix the issues that exist with the Matrix. I guess these coders who wrote the Matrix software must have taken programming lessons from the Microsoft programmers who write Winblows..umm...Windows.

The special effects with the french guys and some of the action scenes were nicely done but overall the movie left me wanting more and I hope that the third movie is better than the second one. It should be interesting to see how they wrap this all up. Will humanity win? Will the AI of the Matrix win? Will the two sides get together and play nice? Who knows? Only the shadow knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men (or machines) :)

Summary: Underrated
Review: First of all, I would like to point out that I do indeed like the first movie better, but that does not subtract from the entertainment of this one. Second of all, I would like to mention the plot, many lable the plot as bland compared to the first movie's plot, which was a classic hero story, with many interesting references to religion and literature. Many do not see that Reloaded had these same elements, but they were less obvious then in the previous movie, overall I thought the plot was perfectly fine, it just wasn't a total rehash of the first one(which I suppose many of you were expecting.) Lastly, I want to add this, just because Keanu Reeves can't jump in the air and do fancy pole tricks at the speed of light, and they had to do some of the movie completely CG, does not make it 'bad CG.' Take a look at some other fully CG movies, look closly at the way humans are made out to be in those Pixar movies, and then tell me, that the CG Neo looks [bad].

Summary: Special effex as hero
Review: I went to see this hoping to see more heart-stopping special effects, more cool shades and black PVC...and I got what I wanted. OK, it's hard (impossible?) to top the "bullet-time" effect, which has been so overused since. I didn't really buy the explanations and pop-philosophy-babble - clearly not the Wachowski brothers' strong point - and during the Architect's speech at the end I kept wishing Neo would just walk straight out the door!

Yeah, the Zion (the use of this politically loaded name made me cringe) sequence was long (orgy?! puhleeze! then ballet is porno) and I guess its only purpose is to make us feel sorry when we hear Zion will be crushed. And, yeah, the sex-scene between Neo and Trinity is boring and unconvincing and unnecessary; when Neo gets a flash of his nightmare and the "crucial" moment, Trinity asks "what's the matter?" and I just had to laugh! "You can tell me, Neo!" The timing of the line just makes me think he needs Viagra! The movie needs some short but simple scenes of tenderness between Neo and Trinity: anybody would feel concern about someone they saw dying in their dreams; that doesn't equal tenderness. This is a major weakness of the Matrix movies, especially as love is supposed to be a saving grace. The prescient dream idea is used to greater effect in the fifth Harry Potter book, and that's not saying much! And why doesn't Neo just fly out of the reach of all the Smiths sooner rather than later?

The camerawork was excellent, especially during the highway scene (watch for the camera going under the trucks!), and that scene is the highlight of the movie, tho the opening sequence and other Carrie-Ann Moss bike scenes are also great. Carry on, Moss! Final verdict? I wouldn't buy this on DVD except to complete the trilogy. But be sure to watch it on the big screen.
