Summary: Reloaded suprisingly good
Review: Well, I will put it plain and dry, whoever said this movie sucks is a complete dumbass and doesn't understand this one or even the first one. It was long awaited and worth the wait in my opinion and when its over it leaves you wanting more.

Summary: Pales in comparison to the original, but still a great show
Review: Despite the mixed reviews by Matrix fans upon it's release, The Matrix Reloaded may not be as mind blowing as the original, but it's still a great piece of film. The co-writing and co-directing Wachowski brothers upped the ante on everything in this first sequel: the Matrix mythology is expanded more than one could have ever thought of with plenty of brain teasing secrets revealed that purposely lead into the next film. The action has been considerably upped as well (this is a film produced by Joel Silver after all), with the fight scenes becoming more elaborate scenes of fist fueled carnage, and the much talked about "burly brawl" in which Neo (Keanu Reeves) takes on hundreds of multiplying Agent Smith's (Hugo Weaving) is a mix of real time fighting with overdone CGI effects that doesn't exactly gel together. The highway scene is amazingly put together, and worth the price of admission alone. However, The Matrix Reloaded just doesn't hold all the mind bending surprises and revelations that the original film did. Monica Bellucci's much hyped about role in the film is nothing more than an extended cameo, and Jada Pinkett-Smith is criminally underused in her role. All it's criticisms aside though, The Matrix Reloaded is still a great film, but if your expecting something as phenominal as the original, you won't find it here. The DVD features are surprisingly (then again, this is Warner Bros. after all) not all that plentiful (not even a commentary) which in itself is a big disappointment for those hoping for a bounty of extras.

Summary: Not bad
Review: Talking about the movie, the first one was quite a bit better. I would still recommend it though, just because it is better than many of the movies out there. Its a good dvd copy.

Summary: Half of a movie
Review: Some people do not understand that The Matrix: Reloaded is only half of movie, the other half being The Matrix: Revolutions. Of course, when the movie is over you are going to feel bad and incomplete, because the story is incomplete. The scenes that people thought were pointless were interpreted like that because of two reasons: 1) the movie is not over and all of the "pointless" scenes will be connected somehow with the Matrix: Revolutions 2)that is one of the points the movie makes, (SPOILER) the prophecy is claimed to be false, so the journey that Neo, Morpheus and Trinity went through actually had no purpose for them. The purpose of the journey was for the machines to get Neo to reload the matrix and end the human threat, another trick and a form of control by the machines. That did not help the Neo's purpose, and it has actually stripped Neo's purpose, along with everyone else who believed in the prophecy. Purpose is one of the many themes of this movie,(Smith talks extensively about purpose and how we need it) and after watching the movie, a person is left wondering, what is the purpose? It strips away all purpose and you are left with nothing but a bunch of empty people who look like they are going to die by the machines digging into Zion. It makes you think how we need some kind of purpose in our lives, because without it, we feel empty, which is what the end of the movie is intended to make us feel. But we all know there is another movie coming out in three weeks, and it will deliever what everyone needs, purpose. This is just one of the major themes of this movie, look into the others and see what you can find. There is much more here than what meets the eye. Great movie.

Summary: Don't compare it to the first one!!!
Review: I had talk to many peopple about this film. Some said is not like the first one, didn't have the appealing or beuty of the original. Some said it's good, but not that good.I think the Wirters/directors intend to give a more human face to the story. More than the struggles of few caracthers, but the survivor og the hole race. I specially like the part when Neo is revealed as a containment program. The same way the agents of the first one can hack into any "system" , Does this program hacked inside NEO? Obviously they can interact in and out of the matrix, (Remember when Smith, took posetion of Bane's system) I want to know the explanation of why Neo have powers outside the matrix (REVOLUTIONS)

I give the movie 4 stars because everybody looks at them as a joint venture. Even is not like the first is like a more mature version (if you can say Sci Fi filming is mature) of the first one. Reloaded cannot and would not top the original but it's a good sequel with a more elaborated story. I can Wait to see how everythig wraps up. Te same is happening with everybody waiting for SW episode 3, we only want to see see the whole picture, Even when episode 2 was better the 1, I belived Revolutions is going to satisfy and clear many things that us, Matrix fans, have.

Summary: Pure Amazement for a non-Matrix person
Review: I've bever seen the first Matrix, But when this one came out in the theatres we decided to go. There is no posible way to describe the realism of the special effects...i was littereally "on the edge of my seat" without realizing it. I have never, ever, seen computer graphics like these...in fact, i had no idea some of these things were possible being a fan of computer effects. it is just amazing weather you understand the story or not. I must add, there is this temporary boring part near the middle ,i guess that's from my lack of understanding of the movie..but then it picks back up again and there is this amazing highway chase sequence (one of the other parts in the movie that stick out are when Neo is kicking this guys @$$ who multiplies himself)and it's just continuously accelarating until the end of the movie where it cuts off and tells you to watch "the matrix revelutions" which was ok i guess-gives you even more reason to watch the next one. ANYWAY awsome, awsome i definatly recomend to all the special effects fans especially.
I have not yet seen the DVD but plan on getting it...i really don't like widescreen versions very much unles they are used w/ a widescreen tv ,there's a concept!

Summary: Very entertaining.
Review: I think some people need to relax here! I mean, come on, people, this is not an oscar movie! hello? Stop putting this film down. I think they did a good job here. This is just a very entertaining film. Something different. If u want real drama then rent/buy something else. The highway scene was very well staged too. Boring in some parts I agree, but overall this was fun to watch.

Summary: Mind Blowing
Review: This is definitely one of the best two movies of 2003. The other one of those being The Matrix Revolutions (which hasn't even been released by the time I'm writing these lines), but will surely be a mind blowing finale to a mind blowing story.

I really don't know what the people giving these movie such bad reviews are thinking. I guess they lack the mental capacity to understand a movie like this. Maybe they are never satisfied with anything. Or maybe both. They say "it lacks the freshness and the essence of the original". If it had been just like the first movie, they would've said "It's just the same as the first one". What do you people want?? Another review reads: "Gone is the mystery of the characters, and the environment.". What did you expect??? That's exactly the point of making a trilogy; the first one explains the basic aspects, in the second one you find out deeper aspects that weren't explained in the first one, and the third one is the conclusion. But I guess it's just too complex for the average mind to understand.

Moving on to my review, I think this movie is EXCELLENT. Every single aspect of it is great. The dialogs, the script, the SFX, the action sequences, all deserve nothing less than 10/10. It's headed to become one of the best movies of all time (if not the best). All the fight sequences are the best I've ever seen, and the car chase (which was actually shot in L.A., not on a blue screen) is just a work of art and will go down in history as the best car chase ever made.

This movie really puts your mind to work, with all the biblical (Jesus, Moses, etc.), gnostic, nihilist, philosophical (Rene Descartes, Plato, etc.), and even buddhist references. It goes beyond all the cool special effects and the mind blowing action sequences. It's about each one's perception of reality, faith, love, and belief in oneself.

I also love the way the Wachowski brothers take care of every single detail on both films. I mean little details like the REAL SSH1 tool Trinity uses to hack into the source.

This movie cleared up a bunch of things that weren't very clear in The Matrix, but left even more things to think about, and that's why I can't wait until The Matrix Revolutions is released to see how it all turns out. I mean, stuff like Neo stopping sentinels OUTSIDE the Matrix...what was that all about??? Is there a Matrix inside the Matrix??? Is Neo really The One??? I guess we'll just have to wait till 11.05.03

Take Care

Summary: What wrong with you people???
Review: Okay, so Keanu Reeves may not be the best actor in the world, and the Zion scenes may have needed some working on, but altogether, I thought this was a kick-ass movie!!!!It had plenty of action, which is probably 70% of the reason of why people love the matrix so much. If I can't tell a good movie from a bad one, then I guess I don't really want to, because otherwise I'd be watching movies like Titanic. Open your minds to new things!

Summary: Garbage
Review: Don't bother with this one. The first one was great but this is terrible. See Kill Bill instead or anything else for that matter. *The freeway sequence is nowhere near as cool as the one in Bad Boys 2.
