Summary: A classic trilogy with an added bonus
Review: Well, mostly I was just glad they re-released the special edition because I missed out the last time it was available. The sneak peak at Episode II was cool as it gives a glimpse into the future of the prequel trilogy. However, what the heck is the big deal with not releasing the DVD of the original trilogy? Why just a vhs version? Really this is just a marketing ploy to get suckers like me to buy the trilogy who missed out the first time this was available. That's the only real reason why I don't give this 5 stars. It's story is timeless and lets face it- there is nothing cooler than the original debut "A New Hope"- it still holds it's own after more than 20 years and that is why it is still loved and embraced by millions.

Summary: VERY OVERRATED MOVIES!
Review: The Star Wars "saga" (or whatever you wanna call it) are, in my opinion, incredibly overrated movies. There are three movies: Star Bores, The Empire Strikes Out, and Return of the Dead-Eye (j/k). All three of them are sci-fi/fantasy films that move along at an incredibly slow pace. Think of a snail wading through a vast sea of syrup if you will...that's how slow-moving they are. And how is "May the force be with you", a memorable line? It's more like: May the dorks be with you! But seriously, these movies are made by dorks for dorks. Okay, not everyone who likes these films are dorks, but there are some obsessive ones... Anyway, I don't recommend The Star Wars Trilogy to anyone. If you're a parent *don't let you're young children watch these films* it will warp their minds. Good day!

Summary: I bent my wookie
Review: While everybody in the wide world eagerly over anticipates the release of Episode 1 on DVD and of course Episode 2, I just purchased the real thing that made Jar Jar possible. This is the real thing. Great stories, great characters, great special effects, great cinematography. Id go on but I dont want to sound like an overweight twenty something who stood in line for two months to see The Phantom Menace. All the original characters are all here (like Chewy, Han, R2, and my all time fave LANDO!). But, unless you dont have the trilogy that came out before this or even the one before that, I wouldnt expect anything else new coming out of this one. But, Im sure you loved these films as a kid. Id pick up a copy.

Summary: Star Wars! Sc-fi masterpieces! VHS? Yes! DVD? No!
Review: I, like every body else who has reviewed Star Wars believe that these movies are absolutely amazing and definitely THE greatest movies ever made! The trilogy blew me away and I find it hard for a week to pass and I haven't watched at least one of my Star Wars tapes. But wait a minute! VHS quality just isn't good enough! George we love you man, but you have to stop being greedy, give us raving Star Wars fans what we want and do it A.S.A.P.!....

Summary: Episodes IV-VI
Review: The only ***** in here is VI. Don't bother with the rest (though IV is alright). You can buy Episode I which I recommend more than this or the rest.

Summary: Nothing (Maybe Mom) has given me more than these Trilogies.
Review: I will escape the Examples of Psychology, Philosophy etc. To just state why I love the Star Wars Movies. Of course they were my favorites growing up as a boy. But the Love that Lucas has for his creation is felt in so many scenes. With maybe the exception of Return of the Jedi. Which to me, is the slowest paced of all of the series. The Plot is Simple (Good vs Evil) but it was never done with as much conviction and so much visualness. There is not a scene in any of the 4 movies that bore me. Some people may say that Star Wars is too commercialized today. I disagree. It is above commercialization and hype. Because Star Wars in its roots is un-convoluted and basic pure fun. Now the Matrix is hyped and commercialized. But when you have something such as Star Wars (that is simple in its essence) it is hard to say that it is hyped too much. Episode VI Return of the Jedi is not as exciting as the other movies, but it is still excellent. While Episode V The Empire Strikes Back is one of the most visual and inventive movies ever. With the Exception of Jar Jar, Episode I, The Phantom Menace was excellent also. While Episode IV starts it all. I enjoy the improvements made in

Summary: The special edition is great, but where are the DVD's?
Review: This Star Wars special edition box-set is great! The special new effects look great(period), and the new scenes are very enjoyable. There's one thing though. Where are the DVD's? I know they're coming out soon now, but why did Lucas publish another VHS special edition box-set? Wasn't the first one enough? I guess, for die hard Star Wars fans this new box-set must be great, but there are many star wars fans out there who eagerly awaits the DVD's.

The reson I give this box-set 5 stars, is because the Star Wars movies are classics! DVD or no DVD, these movies are still great, even if they're on VHS. Afterall, the picture quality on these VHS tapes are superb, aswell as the sound!

Buy these VHS tapes, if not, wait for the DVD's!

Summary: Great films...but not on DVD
Review: These three masterpieces should be on DVD, but I heard a rumor that Lucas did not want them released on DVD till all 6 episodes were out on video. That way, all 6 would be released as a box set with an enormous price tag. Just a rumor though, so take it with a grain of salt. Anyhow, these movies deserve nothing less than 5 stars. They're clear classics that will forever be adored by many fans.

Summary: Definitely a collectors' item.
Review: This is the one item you must get if you are a STAR WARS collector. It's all three of the first together in one! What you get is: STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE, EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, and RETURN OF THE JEDTI. You also get an exclusive behind-the-sceens look at the making of STAR WARS - EPISODE II, which will be out in theaters sometime in May of 2002...just in time for the summer! What would be even better would be to add Episode I. This is definitely worth the money if you are a fan of STAR WARS. George Lucas is a true genius when it comes to making movies. If you love STAR WARS then you must get this!

Summary: Trilogy rocks!
Review: A superb Star Wars trilogy, with enhancements to the stereo and picture quality. It makes it seem like it was made in the 1990s, instead of the '70s and '80s. A superb movie trilogy packed into a collector set, with excellent characters (Skywalker, Vader, Solo, and Leia) and nonstop special effects. Cool bonus footage. George Lucas has created three equally good cinematic masterpieces. All three videos are rated PG; usually for some minor profanity and action violence.
