Summary: Ultimate Edition?
Review: In the technical details displayed on-line it states that there are three different versions of the movie. This is not true. There is the theatrical version and the special edition previously available on the laserdisc version. Where is the third version? There is however some scenes, including the original ending, in the making of T2. The sound is good but sometimes I think the sound on my laserdisc is superior. The picture is also good. The extra features such as video and audio tests are nothing special. Most receivers are equipped with these same tests. Some features this DVD has are misleading but overall it is a good buy.

Summary: One Word - Awesome
Review: Absolutely one of the best special edition movies ever. The added extras are amazing. The audio is superb. If you have dts available - use it. Only three minor glitches, but regardless, one of the best surround sound movies I have ever viewed. The special edition release has 16 extra minutes that fills in some of the loop holes from the theatrical release. If you haven't already bought this, it is a must have for any DVD collector. Oh and lets not forget the metal case. Just awesome.

Summary: T2 deserves 7 stars
Review: In similar fashion to the Godfather series, the second movie is better than the original. Arnold gives a brilliant performance and shows why he is the best action star in hollywood. There is a good supporting cast, but Arnold is what makes the movie. Arnold travels back in time and has now been "reprogrammed" to be a good terminator. He is the protector of John Connors against a more advanced terminator. Sarah Connors (Linda Hamilton) plays a much tougher role than in the first movie, but she gives a good performance. The special effects are great and so are the action sequences. I recommend that you go to Universal Studios and check out the Terminator 3d show. It is the bomb. It got me very pumped up about T3. Lets hope Linda Hamilton will come back to T3, but if she doesn't, its okay because Ah-nuld is back!

Summary: The best DVD yet!
Review: I just got this DVD today and it has to be the greatest use of DVD technology to date. There are over 40 special features and tons of behind the scenes and never before seen footage. You can either watch the theatrical version or you can watch the special edition with fifteen more minutes of never before seen footage. Also, this is a great movie, so what are you waiting for? If I were to only buy one DVD, this would be the one!

Summary: SHINE THEM ON
Review: After nearly ten years T2 is still snappy. And with this new DVD ULTIMATE EDITION, you can't really go wrong. If you already have bought T2 on DVD before this release, you will not feel cheated if you buy it again... because this one is the complete package. As for bells and whistles and added value, T2 is a ten all around. Excellent menu interfaces (level by level inside SKYNET HQ), a host of extras that will keep both DVD and PC/DVD ROM owners busy for hours on end... and I mean hours (from script, to movie(s) - three in all, to 700 storyboards, inside MAKING OF's - the film and the T2 3D ride, audio commentary - and on and on and on...). Also, it comes complete with a metal slip case... real metal, real nice, and very cool... and I mean cold (when I bought this the other day the stores air conditioning had chilled the slip case to ice cold... my hand fogged it up when I was holding onto it). T2 ULTIMATE promises and delivers just that. The tranfer is sharp (the images in the film are very clear... very percise and dead on). The sound, very visual when you have the right system (and even if you don't - it's still very nice). One of the best packages out there... highly recommended. PLUS! - we have an EASTER EGG, for those of you who don't know what that means... we do have a hidden MODE to play with. It's an extra run of the film (making it three in total for the disk). It's the SPECIAL ADDITION, but with the FUTURE CODA scene replaced at the end. For those who don't know the FUTURE CODA scene and why it was cut... you'll have to review the DVD and movie. To get to the E.E. follow these instructions:

Directions:

The hidden alternate version is 156 minutes. It contains the Future Coda ending and the cut of the movie is the special edition. To get to this third cut of the movie, click on Special Edition from the main menu. Highlight Play Special Edition and press 82997 on your remote. The words The Future Is Not Set will appear in the right hand portion of the setup screen and the left eye of the Terminator will light up. Now you can click on Play Extended Special Edition. If this does not work try 8 enter 2 enter 9 enter, 9 enter, 7 enter to achieve the same effect. Or, press title 3 and it plays the hidden alternate version.

There you go... you've got it all. Enjoy.

Summary: An Awesome Movie Made Better by an Excellent DVD
Review: "Terminator 2" is an awesome movie, without a doubt Schwarzenegger's and Cameron's best. The new DVD version makes this movie even better by showing tons of behind-the-scenes material including the entire screenplay. The original version of this film released on DVD was a disapointment, the video and audio were exceptional but it really fell short in the extras department. This DVD version gives you an overwhelming amount of extras, 3 different versions of the film, 3 "making of " featuretts, cast and crew commentaries, interviews and much more. For those of you that own the first version of "Terminator 2" on DVD: Get rid of it and get this version, for those of you that want this movie but don't have it: get this version!

Summary: DVD is well worth it
Review: This DVD version of the film is worth having for many different reason. The fact that it offers both versions of the film on the same disc is the most noteworthy. The new version includes footage that was mostly unneccessary, but still satisfying and gives the movie a more fleshed out feel. The inclusion of the T-1000 malfunctioning is the only great addition. That aside, this DVD is a great buy simply because of the sound and picture quality and all of the extras. If you appreciate and are interested in how a blockbuster is made, you will love these extras. An added bonus to the disc are the great menus and fantastic THX intro made especially for the DVD. Anyone who has surround sound will fall over with joy. If you like what the DVD format brings to watching a movie at home, then you absolutely MUST have this edition.

Summary: Extra scenes
Review: I had reservations about seeing the movie with the all of theoriginal scenes. I was afraid that they would not quite fit in or degrade the story in some way. However, I was very pleased. The extra scenes are great and the whole experience of seeing new things is just awesome. If you're a fan of this movie, you'll love the special edition.
