Summary: Well, I think I don't know what I think, y'know?
Review: A random mishmash of good and bad. Varies from scene to scene, often within the scene. In honor of the movie's plot, I'll list the good and bad in short blurbs, paying little attention to style.THE GOOD: Special effects, settings, Ewan, Liam, Darth Maul, it is Star wars, Portman's cute, plenty of dvd extras, musical score, opening scroll, mercury ships, and Yoda. THE BAD: Jar Jar, Jake, ethnic allusions, teenagers flirting with pre-adolescents, plot, misplaced odes to droids, dialogue, kid's mother, queen's clothing, bumbling robots, pod race fiasco, miticlorions?, Jake, and Jar Jar. All this having been said, I've watched the DVD a dozen times and have disliked it fractionally less with each viewing. What does that mean to you? I have no idea, flip a coin, buy it or don't.

Summary: Forrest Mcsweeney and Star Wars Episode I
Review: The action of the Jedi Knights was very intense and captured the incredible power they posses, but the chemistry between Amadala and Annican was cheesy. JarJar Binks ruined any form of comic relief that you found in Episode IV and V. In fact, the entire Gungan nation was a bad joke.The entire movie became less serious and more childish, making The droid armys serious problems. Liam Neason and Ewan McGregor did an excellent job. They are real Jedi, but the space battles were 0 compared to IV,V, and VI. However, the pod race was good. Jake Lloyd can't act with his face though. This movie is no where near the caliber of the originals, and it sounds like I should rate this movie less than I did, but the Jedi were just that good, especially in the opening sequence. All I will say is that they throw down. The music is exceptional as always, played by my favorite French Horn section of the London Symphony Orchestra, yet it doesn't beat what Empire Strikes Back dished out. If you want to watch this movie to compare it to the originals then don't be prepared to be blown away or anything. To wrap it up, the Jedi are just plain cool in this movie, you will probably like them, but the mystery and mystical factor of the Jedi and the force are gone forever. 3 stars is the best I can do.

Summary: A little disappointed in the movie, but love the DVD
Review: First of all, I really enjoyed the movie, but there were a few things that really bothered me about it. I realize that some of this was because of the wider appeal that Lucas was trying to get, but Jar Jar Binks was just annoying. As a matter of fact, the whole Gungan race was a little annoying, although I can see how they fit into the story. There were several times in the movie that I thought were a little hokey and slapstick for the rest of the movie, but I let these things slide. Obviously, the special effects were top notch. I kind of assumed they would be going in, so I wasn't really surprised by that. I was impressed by the detail in the pod race and the battles. I knew I wanted the DVD to add to my collection, even if it only included a nice digital master of the movie with some director commentary and cast and crew profiles, but extremely pleased when I discovered the wealth of extras included. Apparently, Lucas is a bit of a perfectionist, because he wasn't satisfied with the normal deleted scenes method of simply shoving them in as is. There are seven fully restored scenes including a much lengthier pod race scene. You can't even tell these were removed before final production, they are up to the same level of quality as the film itself. On top of that, there are all the featurettes, too many to count. All in all, a must have for anyone who even remotely liked the movie and especially the few who may not have seen it yet.

Review: There are some parts in this movie that are good and some parts that are bad, silly and stupid. I rate the good parts with the Jedi's and the silly and stupid parts with Jar Jar Binks.

Review: I watched the movie 3 times in cinema. I just keep thinking about it. Although the story is a bit confusing, it is a fantastic show. Many great moments and special effects are so good!! Creative setting and majastic fighting scenes. If you did not own this title, it is a waste.

Review: Jar-Jar? A kid in a Star Fighter, flying through a station, killing the bad guys? Not even The Force can explain this. Arrrr! If I could, I would submit without giving it even 1 star. I'm sure it's not worth that much. 'nuff Said.

Review: This movie doesnt deserve the title of star wars. In my opinion they didnt even need to make this movie. They could of started out with clone wars and been fine. This movie is fine for a kids movie, with their jar jar action figures and the fake plastic looks. (whats with those bright glowing balls that look like toys?). This movie is not going in my star wars section. It is not dark enough and i am not accepting the change.

Review: THIS MOVIE BEAT TITANIC. I love this film because it shows the love bond in between Anakin & Padme. Congrats George Lucas.

Summary: Great movie and an even greater DVD
Review: Whether you like the movie or not you cannot deny that this is one of the best DVD's ever published. Other DVD's claim to offer you the most features; this DVD simply does without saying a word about it... Fire it up for two or three times and closely watch the menu. Watch the extra DVD with all the bonus material and prepare to be amazed with the different views they offer you; one track with the different drawings, others with animation, then the last one with computer animation. If you are into Star Wars this is a must have. No doubt about it.

Review: After seeing the original series I hated Episode I the first time around. The special effects were wonderful and so were the sets and many*** of the creatures who inhabited this world. But the characterizations were dull and the acting was wooden. The plot was darn near incomprehensible. But when I saw Episode I for the second time, on PPV, I noticed the music and sound effects were overwhelming the dialogue, so I turned on closed-captioning and voila! I could understand both dialogue and plot. Unfortunately the newly decipherable story was pretty lame - way too 'talky' and far too long. I think Lucas could have cut this by 30 minutes without hurting it a bit, but then where would he have had a place to hang all the effects and new species? ***[Except for Jar-Jar Binks, who drove me nuts with that phony-Caribbean lingo and other affectations that would have been racist if this had been a human creature]
