Summary: .... for the overall and 5 for visuals
Review: 2002 Summertime in Switzerland - Episode II AOTC-Time for me and my friend. We had a blast seeing Yoda crawling towards Count Dukoo (?) and then being as fit as ever ... howling. We also thought, that Mr. Christensen playing Anakin was too much to handle, even dreadful, yet, after having watched the movie a few times on DVD, I can only come up with one logical explanation, WHY Anakin's role and the rest of the cast is thinner than thin. An actor can only be as good as the director and the script is. I changed my opinion about Mr. Hayden's acting ability, simply because Ms. Portman's lacked it, too. Even a pro like Mr. McGregor seemed a bit misplaced ... So I have to say, it's almost unfair, to solely blame Mr. Christensen of being a bad actor. It's said that Mr. Lucas is known to be a bad director. Again, since everyone else in this movie is condemned of being a bad actor/actress I can only contribute it to real bad script writing and direction (not that I could do something like that) - and, uh, yes, the dialogues were dreadful, yet deadly. Visually - a perfect and wonderful movie - I love it.
I would've even liked the romance part, if it only didn't feel so terribly forced. I am confident that both, Mr. Christensen and Miss Portman, could have been THE LOVE SPARK, if the direction was different. Nowadays I feel sorry for the two having to have said things like "I don't like sand ..." or "I will not give in to this"....
However, the movie ended and we were beaten by wayyy tooooo much action and visual effects. I guess, turning 30 also means, being overwhelmed by too much visual information ... we had to go for a drink to cool it down afterwards *lol* - it felt like after a rollercoaster ride.
Good Luck for Episode III!!!...

Summary: George Lucas, give us something better in storyline!
Review: A.I. the movie would've been a better storyline for 'Episode I',and Anakin Skywalker should've been the innovator and creator of the 'Jedi Class',instead of a follower. The fight scenes between Count Dooku and Anakin Skywalker with double light saber should've been stretched to 5 minutes longer. The camino should've been game and model builders who reconstructed armies from the past,in plain english,'Gamers'. George Lucas, lacks imagination with these two last episodes, don't disappoint us again, which you probably will.

Summary: "I'll get to the bottom of this plot quickly, Milady..."
Review: For those of you who hated or were disappointed with The Phantom Menace, there's a chance that you might like this one better, but maybe not. As for me, Attack of the Clones is a visual masterpiece. It also details events mentioned in A New Hope that fans may have always wondered about. The acting and dialogue is a little better than The Phantom Menace, it's a little more OTT and not as wooden, which helps, but at the same time is played almost dead straight. Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, gets either mixed reviews or "thumbs down", though, we're really not meant to like him. The "plot", some would say very little, moves along reasonable well, as does much of the action.
Attack of the Clones isn't a classic, but for pure escapist sci-fi, it hits all marks. if you've forgotten that Star Wars is for the young at heart, than this movie certainly is not the one for you.

Summary: Puh-lease!
Review: My friends and I are extremely disapointed with Lucas. This "movie/music video/arcade game" simply does not cut it anymore. People now incorporate CGI into great movies, NOT the reverse. AOTC made less at the box office than Phantom, and we predict the next installment will have even less draw as NO ONE is interested anymore.

Summary: Glad I borrowed from library and didn't waste money
Review: Like the Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones was more about computer animation as opposed to a good storyline. I have seen better acting and writing for those cheesy Saturday morning shows. Plus, can someone explain to me why in the first two movies everything (ships, planets, landscapes, outfits, etc..) looks so crisp and clean, yet in IV, V, and VI things look much more real and gritty. I guess in Lucas time technology runs in reverse for the characters and their surroundings. I gave Attack of the Clones two stars instead of one because of the attempt to explain items for future events (albeit, a very poor job of doing it). To say this movie and the first one were huge disappointments, would be a huge understatement.

Summary: So so movie
Review: This movie was pretty good, and on my scale I rated it a 3. What's good: the actor that plays Anakin is pretty good about portraying a young Jedi apprentice who is struggling with becoming an accomplished Jedi and his love for Padme. Another good thing- Yoda's battle at the end is the show stealing highlight.
What's okay: now that Padme is a senator, does that mean she can wear all of those suggestive clothes? There is too much flirtation between Anakin and Padme.
Over all, this is a good action movie and full of special effects and has a lot more Jedi in it.

Summary: Not Sci-Fi, just kiddie fantasy
Review: Attack of the Clones, (like the other Star Wars movies) should not be compared to any kind of Sci-Fi, whether "hard" Sci-Fi like Kubrick's 2001, or even the plot driven softer style Sci-Fi of the original Star Trek or Outer Limits series. It is not even very good fantasy (e.g. Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings); it is, however, very good Saturday Morning kiddie style fantasy. Adults should definitely stay away. Ideal audience is 8 - 12 years old.

Summary: The worst Star Wars film ever
Review: I know I'm gonna be hated after this review but I found AOTC to be very boring.Even though the action scenes were awesome and Yoda's lightsaber duel was spectacular,I found the love story to be dull and boring.I was really looking forward to seeing this movie in the theater when it came out.I've been a Star Wars fan all my life and I was greatly dissapointed in this movie.I hope episode three is better.
