Summary: Hulk Sulk -- disappointed
Review: OBJECTIONABLE: I took my son to see this, and we ended up leaving the theater. This movie was too moody, crowded with scientific goobledygook, and in some parts really scary. When Bruce Banner flash-backed to his childhood and recalled the death of his mother, it was a big downer -- and not received well by my kid. Don't bring the young un's to this poor effort. . . and don't buy this either. Look for Spidey, X Men or even Daredevil.

UNFAITHFUL: Not a good take on the comic. I do not like the way they have changed the storyline. The real origin of the hulk was not some horrific genetic infliction by a mad scientist, but really in various facets -- an accident. Hulking is an accident, by all other accounts. The movie poorly portays and confuses the various Hulk characters, making them what they never were in the comic, adds all new elements for it's own sake. It drags the story so long. . .

SLOW: The special effects were good, but it took a long time to get the movie going, and there was too little action I think. The movie goes on and on trying to justify it's own take on the hulk myth, twisting it badly, and it does a poor job of relating the comic. Bad job by the director. Boo.

ACTORS: One thing I did like -- Bana's performance as Bruce and Sam Elliot as the general were great. Nick Nolte was just nuts. Creepy.

DISAPPOINTED: Not what I expected for a Marvel movie. I had high hopes, having seen the outstanding effort on X2 earlier this summer just after I got back. I guess the ending was pretty good -- but I don't know since I walked out on worst effort in the recent comic book to film deal from Marvel. Blah. I hope they don't let Ang Lee mess up any more of Stan Lee's work. Are either of ya'll reading this?? Hope so. . . from a true believer.

Summary: very good
Review: It seems to me that some people ALWAYAS expect a superhero movie to be all about action (and HULK did have plenty of action in it) and want nothing to do about backstories. Don't get me wrong, I can go for a brainless action movie as much as the next person, but to me HULK was an excellent psychologoical movie that dove to the essence of what HULK was all about.

Summary: The movie doesn't work
Review: The Hulk is a movie by the great director Ang Lee (who again does an amazing job directing this movie) but due to a bad plot nearly all his efforts are in vain. This movie tries to have more susbtance and drama than action and killing. This seems like a great idea unless the plot you choose is so simple you couldn't even make an issue of a comic book of it. In the end the movie alienates itself from practically everyone because it doesn't have enough action to be classified as an action movie, and not enough substance to carry the movie past the slow parts. The reason I gave this movie two stars is because of the superb directing and formidable acting from Eric Bana (as the Hulk) and Jennifer Connelly.

Summary: Hulk Mad! Hulk can make better movie!
Review: Hulk spend lots of time in trailer on set.

Two hours and twenty minutes and we see about 18 minutes of the green guy. More realistic title: Nick Nolte as Hulk's Dad...with a brief appearance by the Hulk.

Hulk want new editor!

This movie is long and boring if you are new to "The Hulk" and painful if you are a fan of the comic books. They must have spent so much money on special effect for this film that they couldn't afford an editor. I was hoping when they released this DVD, they might reverse the concept of "Deleted scenes" and actually cut this movie down to a bearable length by deleting scenes! In one part of the movie they transport Banner via helicopter to a military base in the desert. I think they filmed it in real time because an actual flight to the desert would have been shorter.

Hulk confused, how tall is Hulk?

In one scene he's 7 feet, in another 15 and in another he's 20 feet tall. Thank goodness for his stretch pants!

Hulk boring.

The Hulk should be the heart, soul and nervous system of this story. Instead he is a special effect. He is never developed as a character and as a result you never care for/about him. It's a pretty simple formula, ex. Hunchback, King Kong, etc. but Ang Lee gets lost in some demented "Sins of the father" interpretation, that just doesn't fit this storyline.

Hulk rent this one (maybe), not buy.

Summary: Great Special Effects
Review: The special effects as Eric Bana changes into The Hulk are outstanding. It definately is the best part of the movie. The plot is very good and kept me interested. I just didn't think there was alot of romantic sizzle between Eric Bana's and Jennifer Connelly's characters. They are supposed to be in love, but it seemed kind of cool. But then again, this isn't a love story, its sci-fi. And if you are a sci-fi fan who loves special effects you will really enjoy this movie.

Summary: a notch better than last years spider-man
Review: last years spider-man didnt really grip me. though x-men 2, daredevil and this one right here did. Eric Bana(Black Hawk Down and Chopper) is great as the green man. Connelley is sexy as always and Nolte is well, he needs a new hairduo is all im saying. but I really liked this movie and I ignored my friends opinions on it as well. great visuals by Ang Lee and also great direction as well. sorta played like a comic book splitting the scenes in half and all and the hulk visuals are spectacular. one more note. They coulda done without those damn mutated dogs, what the (beep) was that all about. Inject Fluffy with the crap and Fluffy turns to Spike, anyway.

Summary: The Hulk
Review: Maybe the hype for this movie was too large, because I was expecting to see the best movie of the summer. This movie however, did not come anywhere close to reaching this plateau. The beginning immediately grabbed my attention but as the film grew longer I began to wonder if the movie would ever end. The film was just entirely too long. Great action scenes can only get you so far in Hollywood, and in this movie, it just wasn't far enough. However, I thought the actor selections for Bruce and David Banner were a perfect fit for the film. I also thought that the action scenes were amazing, but you can only take so much of a giant green freak jumping around in the desert. I can even remember saying to myself, "catch and kill him already, please!." This however was not the case, and The Hulk seemed to jump and jump and jump and jump. The reason people love comic books so much is because they are a quick and entertaining read. The director Ang Lee should have taken this into consideration when he decided to recreate The Hulk. Unless your looking for a huge adrenaline rush followed by the best nap you will ever have, I wouldn't suggest to see this dud.

Summary: Good Film, But Weakest in Marvels Cinematic Arsenal
Review: I was intensely looking forward to this film when it debutted this past summer. Expecting only the best from Marvel, I eagerly bought my tickets, grabbed my popcorn, and settled down for the ride. After over half an hour of waiting for the action to begin I was starting to get a little restless. The opening sequence and story building material seemed to take an eternity, as most people already know the story of the HULK and just want to see the big green guy smash some stuff. Nonetheless, when the action started I found it quite entertaining. Even thought the Hulk himself was a CGI created monster, it worked well. So, once you get past the sometimes dragging and much too ong story sequences, its a fun way to spend your time. I give this film 3 stars, but it is more of a 3.5.

Summary: Hulk(Dvd)
Review: The hulk movie is going to look good on dvd and this 2 disc set is loaded with bonus features. The following will be on this disc.

The Hulk Game-Now people with an xbox can play this game from the dvd.It will feature 1 or 2 playable levels as Banner and Hulk. This is just a sample so the whole game isn't on there if you want to play all levels you must get the hulk game.I think this is a good idea but it leaves people with a ps2 and gamecube out which I don't agree with. This is the first of it's kind to have the game on the movie disc maybe we will see it next year with spiderman 2.Incidently that game comes out before the movie.

2)The Making Of The Hulk Game

3)Deleted Scenes

4)Captured Fury-Scenes from the movie in comic book form.

5)The Ananomy Of The Hulk

6)Evolution Of The Hulk-This talks about Bruce Banner's metemorphis into the hulk from the comic books, television series and finally the movie.

7)Hulk Cam-This is like the feature in the spiderman movie. When you cut this feature on when you see the icon flashing during the movie and you highlight it you go to short featurettes such as special effects, cgi and other stuff.

8)The Incredible Ang Lee

9)Making Of The Hulk Movie

10)The Dogfight Scene

If you like comic book films on video or dvd this should be in your collection. It didn't have the action that spiderman had but when it did have action it really got you into it.To see Hulk jump, destroy tanks, punch missles, fight hulk dogs, fight the asorbtion man and to destroy things it's all worth the buy alone even if it didn't have the bonus features. Also if you like the hulk character don't forget to pick up the incredible hulk ultimate collection which will include 18 episodes of the television series 4 of which are 2 parters. This streets a week before the hulk movie.Even if you didn't like the movie look what it's done for the shows.Hopefully season boxsets will soon be announced.

Summary: A ride through heaven
Review: Allow me to start by saying that I did have my doubts entering the theater to see The Hulk. Suffice to say, all of those doubts were not only erased, but replaced by visions of grandeur and magnificence like I was in heaven or something. For starters, the CGI effects of having a cartoon hulk proved to be a veritable stroke of genius, if you will. As The Hulk gracefully lept through the desert 500 ft. into the air and crushed missiles, tanks, and helicopters with his bare hands as he was chased by the evil bad guys, I spilled my extra large buttered(if it is in fact butter) popcorn(the 3 gallon tub that you can refill if you run out, you know what I'm sayin?) onto a senior citizen old lady chick in front of me.

She cursed me under her breath and left, but I'm sure she understood that I was just caught up in the moment of great acting and technology combined as they formed one harmonious synergistic whole. I'd be remiss not to mention the undeniable fact that Eric Bana's performance approaches the realms of the sublime. One word: WOW!!!(capital letters intended for emphasis people)
