Summary: X-cellent watch and worth the wait
Review: WOW! I really loved this movie! I had been disappointed by other live-action and animated movies and shows in the past that portrayed other comic book heroes and failed miserably (except for Fox's X-Men cartoon which featured our favorite Cajun and other special guests). However, this one definitely hits the mark, and I can't wait for the sequel. I hope that the complete uncut version will make its way to DVD.

By the way, the opening of the movie left me speechless. I could hardly breathe. If I didn't believe I was going to have a wonderful 1.5 hours ahead of me, I was convinced by the end of the first sequence.

Summary: Amazingly well done!
Review: I was blown away by the movie as a whole. The special effects were superb, the actors did a very good job portraying their characters, and the plot was great. This is one person who is getting this on tape right away!

Summary: un-X-ceptional!
Review: i haven't been much of a fan of the X-Men comic books and i am NO fan of this movie either! this is a boring, poorly edited actioner. X-MEN was originally 2 1/2 hours before the studio told director bryan singer to chop it down to 95 minutes. heck, i wouldn't want to see the longer version. some action sequences were hard to see. they were very dark as if they were directed by Batman. the fight scenes clumsily choreographed. huge jackman is ok as wolverine but the rest of the cast put me to sleep. halle berry's a washout as storm with that cheapo white wig!

Summary: Excellent Cast, Okay Graphics, Bad Storyline
Review: The movie is very good in some aspects, but lack in many. The cast is perfect for their characters and play them well, and the graphics are pretty good. But the storyline. It sucks. It's mostly about Wolverine. Also, evolution isn't true, it never was and never will be, but what made the storyline worse was that they messed with the characters. Cyclops is supposed to be kind in the comics, but his image in the movie is less appealing. I recommend you get this movie, if only you like lots of graphics and like the cast. But the movie is far from the comics in quality.

Summary: to all Hollywood producers out there...take notice...
Review: Bryan Singer's XMEN is (in the humble opinion of most fanboys I've talked to, myself included) THE new standard of how a comic book movie should be made. I'm sure there are people out there who thought BATMAN & ROBIN was a fine film but I as of yet have not met one. There are so many exceptional qualities about XMEN but perhaps the biggest factor is the standout performance of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine/Logan. The other characters in the movie are certainly interesting but when Jackman's on-screen he simply commands attention! Mark my words...Hugh Jackman is here to stay in Hollywood! IMHO...XMEN is the best comic book adaption ever put to screen...

Summary: X Men remains true to Stan Lee's vison
Review: In a world of darkness and chaos, racism and dispair there lies hope for a new future that only derive in the X - Men a band of mutants so hated by humans yet cared for by a single man Xavier.Stan Lee's infamous comic get's new life in this inteligently done big buget screen adaption that stays true to the original vison of it's creators a powerful performance by newcomer Hugh Jackman who does not know what his path in life is , and confronts a very troubled girl named Rouge in the film they seem to have a connection a bond because they share the same feelings of being alienated by people who don't understand them.

When they find that there is a man that knows about them being Xavier , Wolverine is precarious to weither he should trust him and Rouge even though she dosent know the use of her powers and how to control them is at ease.Halle Barry plays storm who knows full well road that she taken is right and has full control of her powers and is at times a mediator for Wolverine. When a powerful and mysterious man named Magneto is conjering up a recipe for distruction his mutants and him decide to decive the X-Men and take Rouge she is the missing link for him to make his plans complete but when the X-Men find out there not about to give up without a fight they all set there diffrences , aside to save Rouge and humanity from it's fate.

With a directors commentary from Brain Singer and production notes , trailers and incredible picture and sound X-Men is a film that's a sure fire recomendation for kids it teaches them morals and values to not only , accept people for who they are but to come together and unite and work together for a good cause but great for adults because of it's dramatic and emotional power as well as great action and acting all around X-Men is a film your sure to want to watch over and over again and now on DVD it's even better a worthy experience.

Summary: superheros have come a long way, baby
Review: It's really an astonishing event when both sides of the comic-book spectrum (love them vs. hate them) can sit together in the dark and come out flushed with excitement over something magical, mature, and just plain entertaining. Bryan Singer's movie is so enjoyable and -- natural -- that it's raised expectations for superhero movies for years to come. Beautiful women, handsome men, noble heroes, and gnarly villains with depth and -- gasp! -- good dialogue fill the screen. Full of humanity and pathos, X-Men delivers in a way superhero movies haven't delivered since Christopher Reeve flew around town on a wire.

While the movie delivers on its promises, it is -- inarguably -- too short, which just whets our appetites for a sequel (instead of causing us to dread one). Production design, sound design, costumes, and, most of all, the spot-on, witty performances gel to form a whopping good time. I highly recommend this movie. It will soon be part of my DVD collection -- no question.
