Review: It is one of my favorite movies. All of the actors did an excellent job (don't know if I could have pulled it off as well as they did). That was THE most suspenceful and gorific movies I have ever seen. I will always love it and ALWAYS jump at the part when the creature comes out of the blood during testing. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Review: Even if you don't like Kurt Russell, he is great in this film, and the other cast members and (mainly) the story will keep you on the edge of your seet. Truly suspenseful (even I was surprised). A roller coaster, snowy ride. Definitely worth the rent (or buy)if you like horror, drama, suspense, action or any combo of the above. Great date flick.

Review: Outstanding transfer to DVD. This is a classic Sci-Fi/Horror movie with everything that you could ask for. The quality of the DVD transfer would make you believe that this movie was just in the theaters. With a new 5.1 dolby digital audiol soundtrack it can not be beat. A must have for any serious Sci-Fi/Horror buff!!!

Review: I loved this movie when it came out in '82. I love it even more with all the extras you get on the DVD. It's worth the extra money for this one. Not only is it the best transfer out of all my DVD's but it has the best extras. The running commentary with Kurt & John was great as well as the documentary "Terror takes shape". Very cool and a must have in anyone's DVD collection.

Review: I was so glad to find this movie on DVD in the widescreen format. It's the best DVD I've seen so far because of the many bonus features, which are too numerous to mention. Also, the quality of the image and sound is outstanding. The movie itself is so much better than other horror movies. Great production values, realistic acting, wild special effects...everything works together to create a chilling experience. Highly recommended. One of the best DVDs out there.

Review: This is one of the all time best Sci-Fi/horror movies ever made,if not the best. The thing in the movie is so weird and crazy and wild that I just can't get over it no matter how many times I see it. This Collector's Edition for DVD is absolutely great with all of its special features(like the 80 minute documentary. Just great). The characters in the movie are great and John Carpenters directing is undescibable, he is like no other in the way that he keeps the suspence going and your adrenalin pumping. I really wish there was more movies like this one these days instead of Scream,Scream 2, Relic(good book,bad movie), Alien Resurrection, and so on. Hopefully John Carpenter will found one out there and make another classic like The Thing. Other good movies like this one: Event Horizon,Alien 3, Preator1 and 2.
