Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Review: I was never interested in any of the books But wen The Movie came out I thought it looked good So I went and seen it with my dad and WOW WHAT A GREAT MOVIE. It tells the story of a boy who is adopted by foster parents who are very mean to hem and do not let hem know anything about his real parents. Or who he really is. But one day he gets a lot of letters that his foster parents try to keep from hem. That are invitations to Hogwarts, a school for young witches and wizards. And wen there Harry finds out that he is someone who is very special and is treated like a Celebritiy because of what happened to his real mom and dad wen he was just a bady.
Both me and my dad really enjoyed this movie and we both are over 18. there are some very deep stuff in it that makes you think about. Like a Mirror that some people go mad wail looking in to that shows them what they want the most. And some other stuff that make you think

I don't understand why Lord of The Rings fans are saying bad things about this movie I am also a Lord of The Rings fan and I thought both movies were great

Summary: BEST MOVIE EVER!
Review: This is SUCH a good movie! It follows the book closly without cutting so many parts and good characters! (Unlike Kavik....) They chose all the characters very well!!! I don't think any movie as close to this has so many special effects!

Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was by FAR one of the greatest films ever made. The only movie that is even close to the running with this one is "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring."

Harry Potter had, what I thought to be, a magical atmosphere that simply beckoned to you to sit on the edge of your sit (like when you were 7 or 8 and you went and saw Star Wars) and get totally lost in it all.

Although I was disappointed that they didn't really persue the emnity between Harry and Malfoy, or show the album full of wizarding pictures of Harry's family, they nonetheless stayed VERY close to the plot, the time sequence and the magic.

I loved the cast of HP&TSS. They picked the perfect Harry, Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and Profs Dumbledore, Snape and Quirrell. I was a little disappointed in who they picked for Prof McGonagall. Not that I don't LOVE the actress that played her, I just thing that McGonagall should have been much younger... even though actress Maggie Smith was perfect in her portrayal of McGonagall's attitude.
I can't wait for Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets to come out next Fall. I'll be waiting.

We must expect great things from you Mr. Potter. After all, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named did great things - terrible, but great.

Summary: Wonderful but missing the finer aspects of the book
Review: I absolutly loved the movie! People are saying it is a horrible movie and I totally disagree. While it was missing the best parts of the book, it is truly a great movie. The Quidditch scene is exactly as I imagined it. I heard someone say it was too computer generated... yeah, seeing as it WAS computer generated it would be pretty hard not to be! The sets are beautiful and the actors, even the kids, are outstanding! Two out of the three times I saw it, everyone clapped afterwards! I have never seen that happen before! Far better than Lord of the Rings, which, to put it frankly, put me to sleep, this is a movie that everyone, ages 6 - 106 can appreciate and enjoy. I am greatly anticipating the release of the DVD! It will no doubt be great! ....

Summary: Stuck on Harry
Review: I refused to read the Harry Potter books when they came out over the years. From what I had heard, they were children's books, emphasis on "children". However, I was intrigued when I saw the trailers for it, and after I was convinced to see it, I was very glad I was very wrong. I found the movie delightful and the actors exquisite - it had appeal to anyone who ever imagined as a child. It impressed me so much (and knowing that any movie couldn't possibly include every detail) that I went out and bought the series.

What amazed me most was how both the movie and the books made me feel the same way when they were done; that, I think speaks highly of the production team's dedication to J.K. Rowling's books, and definitely earned my respect.

I highly recommend both the movie and the series. At the very least, it'll take you to a world you can appreciate. But most likely, you'll want to stay in the wizarding world.

Summary: Very Refreshing Story !!!
Review: I have seen this movie already three times in the theaters, and I am planning to buy the DVD widescreen version. One of the things that most impressed me is that may three year old child was mesmerized by the film and did not fall to sleep both times that he has seen it.

JK Rowlings did a wonderful job of writing a book so interesting. I believe that the most amazing aspect of the story is that it is about everyday life at a not so common school.

The film is almost like reading the book. No complaint about it. It is still nice to read the book, but the film brings into being the wonderful caracters of Harry and Hermione.

If you have not read the book, the vocabulary may be a little difficult, so that you have to see it at least twice. If you read the book is just wonderful to watch the movie.

I give it five stars for the wonderful story telling and imagination.

Summary: U N E N G A G I N G
Review: I usually get caught up in fantasy-style children's fare but this one just didn't have me caring one bit. All the parts are there ... maybe everything just has too much Hollywood "shine" to it. I probably shouldn't even offer an attempt at an objective review since Lord of the Rings made me completely forget I ever wanted to experience Potter in the first place.

Summary: An Excellent and magical film
Review: i went to see the film on November 17th, and i couldn't get tickets, i had to wait until November 30th, and i sat down to watch, i arrived a little bit late, the scene where Hagrid was arriving on his motorcicle, and from the moment of the snake in the zoo, i was hooked, and i was saying to myself, "Man this is great!",it's even great for those who haven't readed the book, like some of my friends, who loved it, first of all the script by Steven Kloves is wonderful, he was perfect, but they should have chosen the writers of "Stand By Me" the direction of Chris Colombus, was really good, but they could have used Spielberg or Rob Reiner, or Terry Gilliam, the FX were good, but they should have put more job on them, Fluffy looks false, but Voldemort looks great, so does the centaur, and the rest of the FX, man i loved the ghosts, i think it was a good thing they cutted Peeves, it well, could have been like an horror version of Jar Jar Binks, the acting was very good, specially Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Richard Harris and Alan Rickman, and Daniel Radcliffe, it's excellent as Harry though he needs a bit more training on acting, he did a better job on "David Copperfield", and its truly faithful to the book, but the Norbert scenes that were cutted, and cut and pasted in the movie, well that didn't feel right, but i still think it's an excellent film, number 2 on my 2001 best list.

Summary: Best Movie of 2001!
Review: I think Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was the best movie I've seen recently. The academy award didn't nominate this as best picture. Are they crazy? Anyways I can't wait till the DVD comes out. Remember November 15th, 2002 Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets comes out! I love this movie. That's all I have to say.

Summary: see lord of the rings
Review: the lord of the rings is written for adults, so if you are a kid, then youmust see this harry potter movie. It tells the story of a young orphan who learns his destiny, and he is also an accomplished pilot. He has a girl, hermes, who is not his twin sister who helps him out.

This movei also has alot of extra special special effects, which drive the movie along the path to sucess. They have a novelization of this movie whihc I have read, and I liked it.
