Rating: Summary: A Fun Movie Review: I was really looking forward to this installment in the Harry Potter series. I was a little disappointed, but the movie is still very good. The second book has always been my least favorite so it was understandable to me that this movie wasn't as exciting as the first, but it is still very cool and alot of fun! cant wait til #3
Rating: Summary: Just Plain Bad Review: I do not wanna be the only saying that this film is bad but it just is the acting is repetitive and poor the closest thing you get to action is them in a car that flies and that scene is dull if you want to avoid ripping your hair out then avoid this!
Rating: Summary: A job well done by Chris Colombus and crew! Review: How often have I heard, "The book is better than the movie."? Well, for just about every book that is turned into a motion picture I have! It is a difficult task to take what a reader has seen while reading and project those images on film. The second installment of the Harry Potter series is a success, capturing the feel, characters, and places of Rowling's worlds. This two disc set has plenty of extra features, including deleted scenes, for anyone who wishes to go even further into the world of magic and wizardry.

Rating: Summary: The book is better Review: A bit childish, but fun. Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley) and Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) are exellent, but Daniel Radcliffe is almost expressionless in his lack of interperation of Harry Potter. If the look on his face changed at all it wasn't convincing. I began to wonder if he was only hired for the job because he looks like Potter. The boy simply can't act. Other than that the movie is wonderful and very truthful to the book.
Rating: Summary: As good as the book? Course not- but does it matter? Review: I'll be frank- I think Tom Felton is hot. He alone makes watching this fun. There are many cute moments (Draco's eyebrow-smirk thing, Ron's "butterflies" line), but also a couple of cringeworthy scenes. When Draco uses the word "mudblood" on the Quidditch pitch the whole Gryffindor team should have been mad, but all that happened were some wrinkled brows. Similarly, when Ron finds out Ginny is missing he just looks scared. Where's the anger? The last thing that bugged me was that we were denied the Weasley family reunion scene when Ginny is rescued. That was sad, bc it would have been really moving to see it. Columbus did a not-bad job, tho, and I was always going to buy it. That's what Potterphiles do! As good as the book? No. Still cool? Yes.
Rating: Summary: Where is #3 ?? Review: The Chamber of Secrets picks up nicely where The Sorcerer's Stone left off. The movie is wonderfully true to Rowling's book and is every bit as charming. The second year at Hogwarts brings more adventure and danger to Harry, Hermione and Ron. The characters become ore fleshed out and we learn more of the supporting charaters, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Snape and the Weasleys. The movie should delight any child from 10 and up, but adults should enjoy it equally.
Rating: Summary: Better than the firt Review: This is the second edition in the 7 book series. Harry gets takin back to school in his friend Rons dad's flying car. This year at school Harry has to face a deadly vilian in the Chamber of Secrets. This movie is 10 times better than the first!!!!!Watch it now
Rating: Summary: My review considering I've seen the movie.... Review: The movie was great. Once. After that, it is not a DVD I would buy. The cost on this specific DVD is way to high, not including the S&H. Harry Potter books are much better than the movies. I have a full selection of the books. I have 1 DVD.
Rating: Summary: This movie was terrible! Review: Okay, this movie was a huge disappointment. I'm a fan of the books, and I thought the first movie did a decent job of modifying one for the big screen. But this...ugh. The child stars, rather than improving, have gotten much, much worse. The kid who plays Ron has the same horrid facial expression for the entire film. Daniel Radcliffe couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. And Hermione, strange as this sounds, is too pretty TOO SOON. And Malfoy has an insufferable lisp. Why? Unfortunately, the kids' contracts aren't up 'til the third film, so they'll just have to work around that. The adult class is terribly talented, but were reduced to attractive props. Rickman was sorely underused; all he does is whimper and whine throughout the movie. And then they took so many liberties with the plot! Was that drawn-out Quidditch match really all that entertaining? No. And did the Whomping Willow look like it was made of play-doh to anyone else? All in all, this movie failed miserably to capture the spirit of the book. It couldn't even get the fundamentals down: believable characters, plot translation...so how were they confident that they could tweak the story and still have a decent book-to-film title to offer fans? Highly disappointing. I look forward to the third film only because it has a different director. Hopefully he'll make a difference (although already I fear one of the main characters was miscast).
