Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets Review: This is a great DVD! The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because this movie gets old after you watch it alot. Besides that it's excellent.
Rating: Summary: Utterly Pathetic Review: Harry Potter is basically just garbage. Sure the fantastical plot and personable characters will help drag you helplessly into the movie, but it's all for naught. The movie with it's witchcraft and sorcery only lures younger people into more dangerous supernatural things. I only give fair warning to anyone that intends their kids to watch this. I've seen kids where I live go from Harry Potter to trying to cast spells on people, and then some start learning about seances and try to connect with the dead, etc. It's just a fork in the road. "At least my little Timmy/Sally is reading books now thanks to Harry Potter, and watching tasteful movies!" you might say. Well sure, but then see if you regret it when you have a supernatural conjuror trying to cast spells on family and holding seances with his/her friends. If you're mad at me for pummelling Harry Potter in my review, sobeit, I just go by what I see and what I witness. Just find something more educational for your children, not just choosing the only thing that that they'll watch willingly.
Rating: Summary: a great action movie Review: Although this movie is great...amazon apperantly thinks that we are idoits. One of the adds for buy this movie in a pack with this movie is that they say..."but harry6 potter 2 with harry potter 2(in widescreen format)" Noone is stupid enough to fall for that. Just buy 1 of these. or 2 because you should get 1 IN WIDESCREEN FORMAT!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Magical Review: I love this movie. It's one of my all time favorites. I saw it many times. I never got tired of it. Great movie and the book is good too.
Rating: Summary: Great, but not perfect Review: I really liked the movie(this goes for the first one too), but I like the books better. Even though they cut some parts out, the film was great(and the soundtrack ,too) It's great to entertain your younger siblings with. I recommend this film to anyone who has NOT read the book.
Rating: Summary: Great Movie Review: I love watching the Harry Potter movies, and reading the books. It's nice to read a book and then watch a movie made about it and see that they go together great.
Rating: Summary: Delightful Dobby Review: Can you even wait for the next one???? Another great movie for all ages.
Rating: Summary: Even better than the first!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: I thought this was even better than the first. The story is darker, the acting is better(Daniel Radcliffe seems more relaxed as Harry this time),and the visuals are WAY better than they were in the first one!!!!!!!!!See this if you are a fan of the books or if you like the first one!!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Worth every bit of all the hype Review: The Harry Potter books are absolutely wonderful and I was terrified when they released the movie that it be a pathetic shadow of the literary version. But much to my delight, it wasn't. Give or take a few scenes cut for length, the movie is extremely true to the book - probably the best adaption I have ever seen. The Harry Potter movies are great for children and adults! It is absoultely pure story from beginning to end! It is an extremely enchanting story with great actors! And whoever cast so many wonderful actors in one movie should be given an important award or some type! A great film for the whole family to watch!
Rating: Summary: I thought that the character of Harry really developed here Review: Ron and Hermione were great characters from the get go in the first one - now in this one Harry really comes into his own and you can see why he is the lead character, rather than either of his two friends. The film leaves out some things (like the ghost party) but in essence it captures the magic of the book wonderfully and is a sheer joy to watch. Christopher Catherwood, author of CHRISTIANS, MUSLIMS AND ISLAMIC RAGE (Zondervan) and graduate of the University where much of the filming took place.
