Summary: Spellbinding
Review: This electrifying movie brings to life the world of Harry Potter and is really filled with magic
From goblins working in a bank to a giant mountain troll , a dog with three heads to alive chess set , this is exceptionally welldone and really spellbinding
Great acting too especially from three talented young actors : Daniel Radcliffe who plays the lead role of Harry Potter with feeling and panache , Rupert Grint who plays the amusing Ron and a charming performance by Emma Watson as the delightful Hermione
I haven't read any of the books but this movie version ensures there is never a dull moment as we embark on this wonderful adventure

Summary: This Is A Must-See Film For Everyone
Review: So far, I've seen the movie twice and am busy re-reading Book 4. Ms. Rawlings has created a modern fairy tale/fantasy that will be a classic for years to come. Take the whole family, except babies and any child who cannot sit still for nearly 3 hours (but be sure to go to the lavatory before the film starts and do not drink very much as this is a long movie). Your computer-crazy teens will love the special effects. Younger kids will love the story of how a mistreated child wins out in the end. Did you ever dream of flying? The Quidditch Match is incredible. If this story were real, I'd love to go to Hogwarts School! When will the next book be filmed? And where can I get my Cloak of Invisibility?

Summary: The Best Movie Ever
Review: I have watched tons of movies ranging from horror, to comedy, to romance (not really) but I have never, I swear, seen such a movie as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Our school took us to the Avant- Premiere and it was fabolous. We all clapped at the end till our hands were sore. This is why I want to thank everyone who made this movie possible, from directors to actors. Nonetheless there is no one I would like to thank other than JK Rowling. Superb!

Summary: They Slaughtered it!
Review: Don't get me wrong, I found the movie quite enjoyable, but didn't they say that they'd stay true to the book? I mean it's one thing to leave a few things out, that's inevitable, but it's quite another to change them entirely! The whole Norbert thing was totally different, so when Harry first meet Malfoy, they cut out important scenes at the end, as were several other things. It just kind of annoyed me! The casting however was quite awesome. All the main characters were about perfect in my opinion, but they weren't developed as well, nor was a lot of the storyline. Bottom line, as with just about everything else--THE BOOK WAS BETTER!!!

Summary: The Number One movie on my Top Ten List, for 2001
Review: "Harry Potter" it's a beautiful, wonderful, and very charming film, this a film, that will not dissapoint, neither fans of the book, and no fans, the film is based upon the first book, they did cut, some stuff, but it still is a wonderful movie, many people mistake Daniel Radclffe's acting for bad acting, he is supposed, to act in a subtle way, a very simple way, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson (I LOVE YA!), do a simply wonderful, job, and so do all the actors, Can't wait for the sequel!

Summary: Very good!
Review: The first time I heard that they were making a Harry Potter movie, I must confess that I didn't think that it would be very good. I ABSOUTELY LOVE the books , but I didn't think that the movie could capture the real greatness of the story. So much of the book is in your imagination, it's created just the way you want it to be, in a movie it appears the same to millions of kids.Nevertheless I was very excited when it did come out and I, along with half our town, went to see it on opening night. It was very good actually better than I expected but it did leave out details that make the book what it is.I'm in no way discouraging you to go see it, it was great but I would have sat through a 4 hour movie to get details.
(P.S. I did hear that an UNCUT version will be available on DVD)

Summary: Not a very original movie(Star Wars saga rip-off)!
Review: Valdemort(let's call him Darth Vader), killed Harry's father(let's call him Anakin). Now, Harry's father failed to stop "the dark side" led by Valdemort(Darth Vader). And then, Hagrid(let's call him Obi Wan) gives away Harry(let's call him Luke) to his uncle and aunt(let's call them Uncle Owen and Aunt Berru) to protect him from Valdemort(Vader). And just like the Star Wars movies, his uncle and aunt doesn't wanna give him away. Hagrid(Obi Wan) then comes back later in Harry's life to teach him about wizardry(the force), and help him defeat "the dark side". Then, Harry(Luke) manages to defeat Valdemort at the end of the movie(.ala. Luke and Vader .ala. ROTJ).

This movie may be ok for children and people who doesn't want more than some entertainment, but for me as a movie fan, this movie is a rip-off!

Excuse me for not spelling the names right.
