Summary: Perfect cast, but...
Review: A perfect cast for Harry Potter all sequels to come, if they could keep them through. But rather disappointing in script and editing, and directing the kids. Director didn't seem to bring out the best of all the leading kids. They're all very talented and gifted and very eager in their roles, but they didn't shine their bests, unfortunately.

ALAN RICKMAN worked his best again, as always, as Prof. Snape -a very menacing teacher indeed and at the same time was subtly goodhearted in a way.

It's a pity that a film like this should have a time constraint. We all are for 4 hours film, with or without intermission, if it had to be so, to get to the very heart of HARRY POTTER.

Summary: A boring experience
Review: This film could have used a few lighter moments as it gets too solemn and frankly, no one laughs at all. The performance I attended had about the same amount of young people and adults.
The problem, perhaps, is in the casting of the main character, Harry, as he doesn't register an emotion in the film. I think I was the only one that laughed a couple of times, but everyone else sat without any reaction at all!
Chris Columbus could have turned this film into a fun experience by infusing some happy moments. The adaptation of the book is too literal, and perhaps it was a misjudgment.
Since the film was going to be a blockbuster, even before it opened, someone either at Warner Bros., or Ms. Rowling, if she had any say in the matter, could have improved a whole lot by giving it another treatment where that "magic" which is lacking here could have given it a different feeling

Summary: Somethings Missing
Review: I've read all of the Potter books and I'm a mom - I loved them...but the movie left me feeling empty - like something was missing - The special effects were great - and I know with all that is in each book - you can't fit everything in a 2 1/2 hr movie - but still I felt like something was missing - (maybe if I had not read all of the books) only the first....I feel the 3rd book was the best...I'm real anxious for the next...Anyone who says these books are bad for children have not read them...Children need imagination in their lives - or they are not children at all...When I was growing up I read all of the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Books - they are no different...just 30 yrs later....thanks for your time....

Summary: This movie is the BEST!!!
Review: This is the best movie I've ever seen, which is saying a lot! A couple of my friends and I are completely obsessed with Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint). We think he is the cutest little actor in the world! Daniel, Emma, and Rupert make an awesome team. I for one cannot wait for all seven movies to come out! The special effects are incredible, and the soundtrack is unbelieveable. If you haven't seen this movie yet, do youself a favor and go see it. It's a must see!

Summary: Hmmmm its above average a "B"
Review: They only had one quidditich game,a shame. Unfortruneatly they skipped Snapes challenge, *sigh*. It was funny. But it was missing some of the edge that the books had.

Summary: Harry Potter
Review: Hi,

i believe that this movie of Harry Potter is one of the best movies that i have yet seen. i am not the usual person meaning: watching the latest movie in the theatre, but i watch musicals and old movies, i've seen movies like- you drive me craze, coyote ugly etc.

but i am a natural fan of harry potter, so you know i've read his books 20-25 times, i am a fast reader, but no book has made me fell like these books, i love them.

Summary: A Muggleful Magical Movie!
Review: This is a very enjoyable film and I would recommend it for all ages. It was quite long but it was worth it. I think the whole cast is made up of great actors. Also lovers of Rowling's books can now realize the fantasy that before the movie was beautifully written. The movie provides great worthwhile entertainment also capturing hearts of Harry Potter and non-Harry Potter fans. The film is almost exactly like the book and is everything I imagined it to be and more. The movie is absolutely enchanting and it makes one's imagination run wild. Although some adults may consider it to be just another fantasy feature, this film will inspire all young audiences. The movie also has some great special effects and the stories and settings are just the kind that the book fans would have imagined them to be. Visually stunning and absolutely fantastic, Harry Potter is definitely a movie one would want to watch on the big screen. I definitely recommend it and it really does deserve the 5 stars I gave it.
Undoubtedly spectacular and Magical moments make this a film that young audiences would love for quite a few generations to come.
