Rating: Summary: Good but important details left out. Review: I thought that the movie itself was in fact quite enjoyable but they left out a few scenes and some important details. Being as big of a Harry Potter fan as I am, I was surprised to find that they even changed the way he looked in the movie. In the books it said Harry had jet black hair and green eyes. Well in the movie they gave him dark brown hair and blue eyes. It made me mad to find they changed the main character. But other than that and the fact that they left a few scenes out it was a spectacular movie. I suggest all who love movies to go see this one.It honestly was one of the best movies I've seen in awhile that I've been able to forget the outside world and enjoy what i was seeing. To all that haven't seen this I suggest you do.
Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Review: This movie, I might say, is not as good as I've expected it to be. Number one, whenever you read a story, a certain image appears in your brain. You imagine and visualize what's going on and sometimes only you can like it! What on Earth do I mean? Ok, i'll tell you. When people read books, they visualize what's happening in the story. Only their visualization is good for themselves. But if you see what another person imagines, you'll mostly hate it! When I read the first novel, I really expected things to be better. I expected the Dursleys family look like what I wanted them to look like. But if I see someone else's image of the Dursleys and the Hogwarts school, i'll be very disapointed on how stupid or pathetic the scenery is. Number two, events take place the same area. When I thought of it first, I knew that every scene should be snapped shot in a different place. But I have seen a certain area snapped shot one million times. It is very obvious that someone might get bored very quickly of this. Number three, Scenes take place too quickly. This story is long, every scene must have a long amount of time but instead, the director needs to divide 1 hour and 30 minutes in 2 minutes per scene. The story will go quite fast and the details will not be able to be added on. Some details are quite as important as you might they are. Number four, Once you're half way through the story, you'll be able to know everything. Once the scene takes place in the third floor corridor near the forbiddon area, you will know that from every now and then, all three Harry, Ron and Hermoine will obviously think of plans of going inside the forbiddon area. Number five, it is obvious that in many movies, the good and poor guy becomes evil and the evil and mean guy turns out to become friendly (example, snape and quirrell). That might sum up everything I know about this movie.
Rating: Summary: HArry Potter the movie- a childs point of view Review: As a 12 year old girl I am one out of millons of big fans of the harry potter series. When the movie came out alot of children didn't want to see it, i was not one of them! I jumped at the chance to see my favorite book come to life on screen. i thought that this was an amazing chance. And I was right. This movie is great. It gives you a different point of veiw on how the characters look and it also gets parents to understand what their kids go gaga on all the time. I am glad to say that my dad has finally seen it and i was the one who took him. It was the fifth time for me. I advise people to get it because it is agreat movie for the family and because this is coming from one of the biggest fans that you will ever meet.

Rating: Summary: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Review: I absolutely loved this book and I thought for sure when we took our boys to see the movie, we'd be a little disappointed. To Our surprise...we really loved it! It is definately worth buying and keeping on hand for the kids on a rainy day. I'd watch it again as well!!
Rating: Summary: WORST MOVIE EVER...ok not really, but it sucked Review: Alright, i'm a huge fan of harry potter and i also love films. this movie was just awful. there are tons of mistakes, the effects look waaaay too computer generated, the acting is very subpar (except for dumbledore and snape) and it is just way too long without keeping you entertained, unless you are 9.
Rating: Summary: obviously didn't have the whole book but still awsome Review: they could not put everything or it would be way to long. they left out peeves.but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't see the movie or get the dvd.it was a great movie and i felt like seeing it again.i recommend it to anyone who likes a action-packed,sligtly scary, funny movie.
Rating: Summary: Love It! Review: This is a great movie...my daughter loved it and can't wait to see the other installments!!!!
Rating: Summary: If you read the book dont watch the movie Review: I am a big fan of Harry Potter books. I read them at least 4 times ( each book). I was very disapponted when I watched the movie. It didnt have the same magic as the book. First of all the important events were not in the movie. They made mistakes while transferring the scenes from the book to the movie. I went to see it with my friend who also is a big fan and she also didnt like the movie. The book is for evryone for all ages but the movie is just for kids. I can recommened the movie if you didnt read the book but if you know the book you will not like the movie.
Rating: Summary: A great movie Review: The Harry Potter books are wonderful. I like action and adventure books and Harry Potter is sure that kind of a book. J. K. Rowling did a great job on books 1-4. The author put in a lot of fanasty into books 1-3. I must say that in book 3 was really great because, that's when Harry finds out that he has a godfather and Hagrid had a hippogriff named Buckbeak, who is a half eagle and half horse. Well that's for now. From, Sarah Ragin
