Summary: the Sorcer's Stone
Review: Overall this movie had some great effects that made the movie great to watch. Some times the story did seem a little choppy but hey this is a movie for the fans. Now that I've seen this movie I can't wait top finish the book. I hope to see great things from this cast!

I would recopmend this movie for all movie goers

Summary: A Disappointing Movie
Review: I didn't have high expectations going into this movie. But I didnt think I would be this disappointed. Dont get me wrong, the acting, scenery, special effects, costumes, etc. was just dandy, but there was something missing. The books make you feel like you are best friends with the characters. you can feel what harry feels, you are there with him in hogwarts. the movie was bland and to fast-paced. it didnt take any time to get to know the charcters. it just got right down to the meat of the plot, completley igonoring the little details. It didnt have that sparkle the books have and it didnt leave you feeling fufilled. Harry Potter the movie is fine as a completley seperate entity from the books, but compared the books, it tripe.

Summary: Magical Harry
Review: You dont have to be a kid to enjoy this movie, all you need is your imagination and to see it thru the eyes of the child you once were.

My only hope is that the same actors come back in every movie being made on Harry Potter..until all the books are done. Thats what I wish for.

Summary: Volume controls next time please!
Review: Every aspect of book was fine and so was most of production. EXCEPT the music. It became intrusive and over the top most of the time. . . I wanted volume controls or at least a variance in intensity.

Summary: The magic has begun!
Review: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's stone has bewitched me...i've already seen it 4 times and i'm still considering a 5th as we speak. It's no wonder that i should go see it again. The movie is just wonderful. With wizards, and witches. Bludgers, and snitches...the movie soars on Harry's broomstick and proves that heart can overcome any evil, magical or not. I'd give this movie 10 stars but i can't unfortunately...hocus pocus toil and truble, make those five stars seem like double!

Summary: The Mustard, it doesn't Quite Cut...
Review: Harry Potter is a jolly enjoyable family film, but it ain't as great as everyone's making out. I got a similar feeling watching The Matrix & Fight Club-monumentally overrated. Rickman & Harris are woefully underused, Voldemort is a poor villain & Daniel Radcliffe-well they basically hired the wrong kid. Woolly & wooden. With all this, it's still fairly magical & John William's rehashed Home Alone score is worth a listen. An amiable enough interloper 'til Lord Of The Rings comes along.

Summary: Amazingly Magical
Review: Ok, I was a bit skeptic going into this film, I figured oh boy here we go what with all the hype, I was prepared for the worst, complete with children running willy nilly through the aisles and making all sorts of noise.

What I saw was a film that is the likes of which I have never seen. At one point, (even though I didn't want to miss a thing) I had to turn and see what the kids and the rest of the packed house were doing. They were doing what I was, sitting there in my seat wide-eyed and mouth open not believing what I was seeing. I really cannot add much to what has already been said but the actors were magnificent, the cinematography and direction amazing and the sets were absolutely astounding!

I can only imagine what it must be like for a kid to see this, when I was a kid, Star Wars was the big deal. I know that if I were to have had something like this as a child it would have consumed me, I mean a school for Wizards and Witchcraft in England..How cool is that?

I did not read the book (mostly because I factored in the "hype quotient") but now I don't know if I can wait till next year for the second movie.

Review: I think it was a great movie because it was my type. Most people should like the movie.

Summary: Harry is Alive!
Review: One of the best films I've seen in my life. I only thought it lacked one thing. The development of the characters. Other than that, there was nothing that wasn's extremely cool. With all those great actors, the outstanding special effects, and the music by oscar winner John Williams Harry Pooter is and will always be an excellent film worth seeing over and over again.

Summary: Not bad
Review: Being a HUGE Harry Potter fan, I was a bit worried about the movie. I was worried that they would totally mess it up and fail to capture the magic that Harry Potter has. However, I needn't have worried.

I was quite impressed with how the movie turned out. There are only a few differences. For example, they completely leave out the midnight duel and they find out about Fluffy in a different way. And Norbert runs away instead of Harry and Hermione sneaking off to set him free. Other than that, the movie is HIGHLY faithful to the book. Most of the scenes are exactly word for word from the book.

I was also amazed about how good the acting was. You rarely see movies with suberb acting and very rarely see that good acting done with children. Emma Wattson (Hermione) is, by far, the best actor. She does an excellent job of being a know-it-all especially in the levitating feather scene. The man who plays Professor Snape does an excellent job of being the exact sort of teacher Snape is.

However, before you see the film, I advise you to read the book first. The book is much more surprising and the movie isn't as believable as the book. Also, the movie seems to go by very quickly and fails to explain a few certain things that might leave viewers a little confused.

I have nothing else to say here, only that this movie will leave Harry Potter fans cheering for more.
