Summary: The Matrix is good in any language
Review: I am an exchange student in Japan from the US. When the Matrix came out in the US, I let it slide by. When I came over here, however, my Japanese friends were crazy waiting for the Sept. 11 opening day. I was so sorry that I did not goto see it in the states! Wonderful special effects! Even in Japan, the movie was in English... that didn't help much since I have already started to forget English!

But, Mah-trix (Japanese pronuciation) is one thrill-packed, slam-blam-thank-you-ma'am, action movie! Go ahead and buy it!

Summary: There is no Spoon!
Review: A truly breathtaking movie questioning our reality, and how we truly don't know what is out there. After watching it five times, i could still watch it and see more that i didnt notice before. Chances our I will wear the tape right through watching it so many times...

Summary: Excelent-heart pounding non stop action
Review: This is a must own film. High in action content, very sci-fi. Missed it in the theater and now own it on DVD. A needed addition to any collection, you will not be disappointed.

Summary: Matrix a s sci-fi thriller
Review: This movie was very confusing. One minute Keanu Reeves is sitting in a desk and then he following "a white rabbit" what's up with that? This movie was a blatant rip off of Alice and Wonderland. The movie was very confusing and I didn't understand the signifigance of the black outfits which they claimed was supposed to be "a metaphor" or something?! Don't go see this movie unless you're a math major! But I give it five stars for the effort.

Summary: A MUST have for any DVD collection!
Review: I always go for special effects, and The Matrix definately has special effects! Often, movie previews turn out to be better than the movie. Not so with this one. The action sequences are incredible. The directors use of stop action and slow motion action in combination really adds to the special quality of this movie. The characters are great. The movie is great. This is the first movie that I have actually watched more than once, and will watch again, and again, and ...

Summary: Great Special effects, zero plot.
Review: Perhaps if they had put a little more of the budget towards decent actors and writers I would have been more impressed. I found the characters one dimensional, the basic plot ludicrous, and Keanu (though blessedly silent for much of the movie) in a leading a horrible mistake. If this machine intelligence is intelligent enough to construct this alternate reality, enslave all but a handful of humanity, and manufacture mechanical hunter/killers, doesn't it seem likely it would be able to breach the manmade perpetual night or at least find a more efficient power source than human batteries? But, if you want to show off your new DVD home entertainment center with all its frills, this would be the flick to use.

Summary: a must see for anyone who likes a great story
Review: The Matrix combines stunning visual effects with an incredible, thought-provoking storyline to create one of the best movies ever made. The use of computer graphics makes the visual effects incredibly realistic and also helps to make the story more believable. There are so many things about this movie that make you think about things that you have never thought of before. Go and see this movie, and I guarantee that you won't regret it. After walking out of the theater, I was stunned out how well this movie was put together.

Summary: The 20th Century's Last Great Film
Review: Once having seen a great film, I will watch it again, to see what flaws I can spot in its casting, acting, script, direction, the believability and appropriateness of use of special effects, staging, coloring, costuming, ingenuity, reference to other cinematic works of art, etc.

This movie not only has a plot that makes me wonder if we are not already in a Matrix by a different name, but it offers a rare cinematic sustenance last seen in the first and second Star Wars: philosophy and morality impelled forward by superhuman action and consequence.

I have seen this film, in the theater, 10 times. It is pure genius, "virtually" flawless, and what "flaws" you find are the directors' intentional reminders of the importance of being human. "The Oracle" will back me up on this. :^)

Bravissimo to the new W. Brothers! I can hardly wait for future product!

George Lucas, it's time to wake up. The Matrix has you!

Dan Jordan
