Summary: 2nd review for me and still great movie.
Review: I am kinda person who watch same movie again and again..if I like it. This is I think 3rd or 4th movie to get into rotation (with "Godfather", "Taxi Driver", "Clockwork Orange"). My friend think I am crazy to watch "Matrix" over and over when I'm 25 years old, but I just think this movie is THAT good. And don't worry I have a girlfriend.

Summary: The most original movie I've ever seen!
Review: My favorite genre is romantic comedies (aka "chick flicks"), so I was amazed at how much I liked this movie. The performances were all great - I think the other folks who criticized them were watching some other movie; the special effects were beyond astounding, and the storyline was brilliant and highly original. If any of my family/friends are reading, BUY THIS DVD FOR LISA FOR CHRISTMAS! =)

Summary: Hard to beat
Review: To fully appreciate the Matrix, watch it on DVD with ProLogic.

Excellent script, acting, effects, stunts. Jackie Chan meets Hackers. I found it reminiscent of Dark City and perhaps Total Recall, in that things are not always as they appear...

Summary: CLASSIC (trust me, i know these things)
Review: THE WORLD ISN'T READY FOR THIS MOVIE yet-it's too advanced, alot of people really didn't 'GET' this movie(look at all the OAP critics who thought this movie was average).

Just like Blade Runner, this movie is ahead of it's time. In 20 years this will be in the Top 10 best ever movies--i guarantee!
Feel free to Email me, to talk the movie over.

Summary: the story is familiar; long live bullet time!
Review: One of the classic sci-fi/cyberpunk storylines is that our perceived reality is actually an illusion. Those who have enjoyed variations on this theme (Total Recall and Brazil come to mind) will be on familiar ground here. What makes The Matrix so enticing is the latest use of computer-generated and -assisted special effects, particularly bullet-time photography.

Not since the dogfight sequences in the final battle around the Death Star of Return of the Jedi have I been so bedazzled by the latest FX technology. With bullet-time, slow-motion has never looked so flawless and witnessing the 3D pan around the action made my heart race. Like the dogfights around the Death Star, I was giddy.

I will always prefer to watch movies in big-screen cinemas with the best sound system available. Otherwise, watching a fun movie like The Matrix at home on a big-screen TV with an equally excellent sound system makes it just as worthwhile. The added benefit of commentaries, behind-the-scenes material and other stuff makes it moreso. I've also played this DVD on my Mac and had just as much fun, although the picture could be bigger. :-)

Speaking of Macs, I would never know your review had anything to do with the movie. The only people I know who speak so ill of the Macintosh are Mac-ignorant and PC-arrogant.

For the record, DVDs are cross-platform; there's no such thing as a PC-only DVD (I certainly haven't seen one). Anyone who is having problems playing this DVD on their computer either doesn't have a DVD-ROM or you need to apply a software patch or upgrade. As for Macs, OS9 will take care of everything. Otherwise, go to for a workaround. on playing The Matrix on any computer. (I swear, I have no alliances with PCFriendly.)

Summary: Keeps you thinking long after the credits roll!
Review: The Matrix combines elements from Alice in Wonderland, Dune (the book, not the awful movie), Terminator, the Borg from Star Trek and various other movies, to create a sci-fi masterpiece. Oh yeah, the effects are stunning too. I would turn up the volume of your sub-woofer to really experience this movie in Dolby Digital!
