Summary: Minority Report is the best movie ever !!!!
Review: Words cannot describe how wonderful Minority Report truely is.It is by far the best movie I have ever seen .Steven spielberg does a superb job directing and Tom Cruise definetly holds his own as John Anderton. From the very start to the very end my eyes were set on the screen. This movie is not just for Sci-Fi lovers this is for everyone over 13.This is not as confusing as it may seem (trust me I still don't understand The Matrix). All of the actors do a excellent job and after watching you really think about the plot and its many questions.Trust me SEE THIS FANTASTIC MOVIE!!!!!!!!!

Summary: let's look at the record
Review: A superb piece of sci-fi, because it's more "fi" then "sci". Cruise and Spielberg click. The movie isn't like the book? WHO CARES!! It's either a good movie or it isn't. And this one IS GOOD!

Oh yeah , almost forgot. The record:

Liked it: NY Post, NY Times, NY News, Washington Post, Newsday, LA Times, Rolling Stone, Time, Newsweek, Chicago S-T, a few busloads of other film critics (and me). Do your own websearch to read their reviews if you want.

Didn't like it: Rex Reed (who???) and a couple of Amazonians.

Your choice.

Summary: Brilliant, Brilliant Movie
Review: First off, if more people had the level of ambition to try to adapt Philip Dick's work to the screen, we'd be seeing greater and greater movies in this lifetime. The great thing about "Blade Runner" was the story; Ridley Scott ended up making a classic movie because he had the guts to attempt something with work that ran that deep. When I heard that Spielberg, fresh off making "A.I.", had the guts to work with material adapted from a Dick story, I thought this might end up being a great movie. Well, it is.

Steven Spielberg is at the peak of his powers here and makes a truly great movie, probably the best science-fiction movie in the last 24 years (since "Alien", and frankly you could argue a case further back). The story runs deep, and his treatment of it is the work of a great filmmaker. I'm not someone who's easily impressed - I thought "Schindler's List" for example was wildly overrated - but this guy here is doing work on par with greats like Kurosawa and David Lean, and possibly exceeding anything that they could do.

I am literally awed by this movie. In a just world, this would have been as big a hit and pop-culture phenomenon as "Jaws" and "Jurassic Park" were. The world is not just, but it is full of great art, and this definitely qualifies.

Review: This is an excellent movie. Tom Cruise has proven to be an incredible actor over the years. He shows an incredible versatility in his acting. He never plays the same role from one movie to another. Definitely deserves an award!!!!

Summary: Just Curious
Review: Why on Earth would anyone prefer the pan & scan fullscreen version of a movie to its more cinematic widescreen original?
This is a good movie, so GO WATCH THE WIDESCREEN EDITION!

Summary: ANOTHER GREAT SPIELBERG FILM
Review: Minority report is a fantastic movie. The whole idea about pre crime is absolutely fantastic. The story revolves around Tom Cruise and the world of pre crime, which means they arrest the suspects before they even commit they crime. Pre crime has what they call pre-cognitives who sees the crime before it actually happens. Tom Cruise was seen as one of the suspects by the pre-cogs. To make things short, he looks for his minority report (a false pre-cognitive perception) to save his life and find out what truly happened in his past. With all the computerized animations in movies, it's hard for people to get impressed but with this movie, the story has a very excellent twist that will leave the audience boggled.

Summary: AMAZING!
Review: The plot is very clever -- with a future that is both possible and amazing. (For the reviewer who thought it was full of holes, go back and see it again. The answers are there, but your brain has to be on!) The acting is brilliant! The special effects are incredible. And Spielberg proves, yet again, that he is the very best!

I'd take the time to explain the storyline, but I see that has already been done. This is a movie worth seeing over and over! There are so many layers and so much to see, you can't possibly catch it all on the first try.

Summary: "Do you ever get any false positives?"
Review: Spielberg, Cruise, and Von Sydow create a thinking man's action movie. A movie thrown into the future (2054) complete with incredible buildings, off-the-wall computers, funky cars, mechanical spiders and other assorted gizmos. Cruise plays John Anderton, a Pre-Crime chief, set up by the master (Von Sydow). Why the set up? Anderton discovers a flaw in the police's 6 year "perfect system". The movie dips into the near future and then back peddles into the past - courtesy of the pre-cogs (specifically Agatha)... and it's all about Anderton's one big decision to change his future and later prove his innocence. A mind-blowing trip. Spielberg pays homage to Hitchcock as well as other tributes and references to films like "Clockwork Orange", "Blade Runner", "2001: A Space Odyssey". For actor Tom Cruise... this is a departure from his normal machismo role (i.e. "Top Gun", "Mission Impossible I & II", "Jerry Maguire", "A Few Good Men", etc). At certain points he's out of control and rendered helpless. Max Von Sydow comes back with a brilliant performance as the unsuspecting bad guy. Von Sydow hasn't done much in recent years, but it's always a pleasure to see him in a major role (remember "Nuremberg", "The Exercist", "The Greatest Story Ever Told", "The Seventh Seal"). Tim Blake Nelson ("Oh Brother, Where Art Tho?") has a neat role with some memorable lines as "Gideon" the prison keeper. Peter Stormare ("Fargo", "Windtalkers", "Bad Co.") was also entertaining as the eye doctor "Soloman". Great movie, wonderful sets (real and/or computerized), neat cast, imaginative director and support. Along with the 2:20 minute feature, this 2-DVD set contains some good extras with the assorted commentaries with Spielberg & Cruise, Visual Effects, Archives, Production Notes, Movie Stunts, etc. Let your imagination go.
