Summary: A gag for Chris Tucker
Review: The movie started out as a good sci-fi flick, then degenerated into a SPACEBALLS meet DIEHARD. (I guess if you can't act -- the next best thing is being an action hero or an annoying screamer). Too bad for sci-fi lovers. As a previous reviewer said: Hey Hollywood; how about giving us sci-fi fans a break? Then again, we shouldn't expect too much out of the Hollywood crowd.

Review: I want to know who sang the song for Diva toward the end of the video in Fifth Element? An the name of the song?

The movie and CD were great. The music is very good and the songs fit the movie very well.

Thanks

Summary: Best Movie I have seen yet !
Review: This is a fun sci-fi movie that does every thing well. Video quality is clear and sharp, audio is terrifc with some funky tunes at appropriate times eg reggae when the gound crew torch the critters. I have watched this movie 10 times now amd will put it aside for awhile so as not to spoil any of this movie's magic.

Everyone I have shown a part of this movie to have then demanded to see the r est of it, and then declared they had to buy it !!

This movie is esentially a remake of a French film and the quality oozes throughout. Please don't compare this movie to Phantom Menace - I was bored witless throughout Phantom, and the picture quality was poor. The Fifth Element is in another (higher) league !!

Summary: Pure and Utter Drivel!!!
Review: Bruce Willis and the others should give back their paychecks. This thing is REALLY bad. It apparently helps, when watching this, to be 12 years old and watching it for the 15th time. Noboby else's brain would be numb enough to take it.

Summary: Fantastic Colorful Adventure
Review: By far my favorite movie, Luc Besson does an excellent job with this movie, as he does with all of his movies. All the characters are colorful and exciting, each one has a "thing" about them. Plenty of directing tricks and interesting scene cuts make this movie a pioneer in a new genre of science fiction.

Summary: Fast, fun, and original.
Review: This is one of the few movies that I can sit and watch over and over again. I saw it five times in the theater alone, and lord knows how many times I've seen it at home. This movie is extremely quirky and original, and never ever takes itself too seriously. After the first viewing, I was confused and a bit bored, but I still liked it. The more times I see it, however, the funnier it gets. It's actually a very intelligent, subtle, and satirical movie. The characters are simply fabulous, and Gary Oldman put on an incredible performance as Zorg. The plot is precariously intricate, and very very silly. The special effects are.. well.. PRETTY! Even if you get bored of the plot and dialog, it's always fun to look at. Although this movie definitely draws from a lot of earlier scifi films, it isn't really like any of them. It is incredibly original, and incredibly strange. Highly reccomended, if you like that kind of thing. If you take it too seriously, though, you'll definitely hate it.

Summary: A very funny space-opera spoof
Review: "The Fifth Element" is a wonderful parody of a science fiction "action adventure" movie. As long as you keep that in mind, it's very entertaining. It has comedy, action, no sex worth speaking of, comic violence (I'm kinda surprised that Zorg's eyes don't bulge when he sees...nevermind), ugly aliens getting blown up, the end of the world, and a theory about where the Earth's moon came from. What else can you ask from a parody?

The DVD contains no commentary, but there's really no way they could add such without "explaining the joke", which would make the movie pointless. I -do- wish that the "chapter access" allowed skipping to specific chapters, like some DVDs, but you apparently can't have everything.

Summary: Painfully annoying
Review: Chris Tucker's extremely annoying performance will have you reaching for earplugs, the barf bag, and the off button. This film is the best reason I've yet seen why filmmakers need to give sci-fi subjects a break. It's an overdone genre with nothing new to offer.
