Summary: If you liked Mad Max series, you'll love this ...
Review: This type of movie deserves it's own genre, something like futuristic, post-apocalyptic survival. They are a dime a dozen ... and some do try to make serious movies in this category but most would fail. This movie escapes that criticism and rises above for it's simplicity and genuine characteristics. Just watching a few scenes here and there won't tell you much about this movie. It's the whole package, the inhumanity of bred soldiers, the inevitable conquest of human spirit against all odds, the beautiful accompanying music, the details ... that will touch you. Watch the whole movie and watch it for what it is ... not if you in the mood for Independence War, but instead Blade Runner.

Summary: Non-starter
Review: I can't believe anyone could enjoy this film, theres nothing there to enjoy. The storyline is virtually non-existent, the acting minimal, dialog.... what dialog ? I think Russell must only say about 10 words total in the whole film.

If you like pyrotechnics then you'll like this film, otherwise avoid at all costs. Absolutely dire.

Summary: Poor plot and script cannot be made up for by special effect
Review: A big disappointment for anyone but the most die hard Science Fiction and/or Kurt Russell fans. Take out the action & special effects and there is nothing left to see.

Todd, a Soldier (Kurt Russell) helps a family of Garbage colonist mortal kombat Scientific new breeds of warriors, after being dumped from his Army.

Summary: Kids should not speak...
Review: I was one of the few to see Soldier at the theater. I think that the promotion of the movie was all wrong. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this movie is. If you watch it, notice that none of the children have any lines. This is a good thing.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Rare use of subtlety
Review: This movie showed a subtlety rarely found in American films and almost never in the sci-fi, action catagory. Russel delivered a masterful performance as the disassociated soldier coming into self awareness. The fact that he did not speak many line added rather than subtracted from the emotional content of the film.

Summary: Good sci fi
Review: I thought this was an OK developement of a short story scifi idea. Kurt Russel didn't have to work his way through sonnets (which seems to be the main critism) he played the part to fit the role perfectly. I think if you look at this as a story, rather than a vehicle for actors, it's really very good.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good Special effects but a fair (at best) movie overall!
Review: I was surprised to see 4 stars for this movie. Although the special effects may be ok to test out your system, the movie is just not very good.

Summary: HAIKU MOVIE REVIEW:
Review: Kurt speak not, no no. Brave man, though he say afraid. He save some people.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Kurt Russell's best acting yet.
Review: Kurt Russell has very few lines of dialogue in this movie, his facial expression changes only slightly and seldom. His eyes tell the story of the soldier he is. What incredible eyes this man has. A very good story of survival. A definite "must see" for Kurt Russell fans.
