Summary: The Matrix-more than hyped-action
Review: Upon seeing the Matrix, I realized a couple of things. For one, it would keep the moron in me exited with all the big action and special effects scenes. In hindsight, I am able to see how truly spectacular the philosophical aspect was. There are so few movies out there that can make you question your reality, and this movie did just that. Every time I eat something that tastes like chicken, I wonder. Is there a real "Matrix", and if so, how would I get out? It's a wonderful movie, specifically for those of us who are horrified at the way the world has turned out.

Summary: Matrix IBM
Review: Usually one-glanced as an untouchable classic, some may see otherwise. The pace is too slow and the action scenes aren't convincing enough. Also contains no suspence whatsoever. Idiot cybernetic is good for this movie which the old timers will enjoy.

Summary: Fun to watch again
Review: Very cool movie, amazing special effects. Never have I seen a film look so close to the comic book style. Great story as well -pure escapism. The movie lends itself very well to DVD - it can stand repeat viewings, and the extras make it very well worth the purchase.

Summary: wish the standard dvd wasn't more expensive than the widescr
Review: very good movie-could watch it a thousand times if my wife would let me.trouble is-the standard version shouln't cost more than the widescreen, and since most people don't own widescreen tv's, why does the widescreen version always come out first?

Summary: Great Flick
Review: Very good special effects and a thrilling ride through a different dimension of life.

Summary: Sci-fi with brains (mmmm, brains)
Review: Very rarely have I watched a movie that was both exciting and intellectually stimulating. Most flicks put all the action on the surface. The Matrix layers the action over a plot with deeper philosophical implications: What is reality? Is the physical world, as I know it, all that there is? Am I in control of my life, or am I under the control of something above and beyond me? Is this greater power good or evil? The film borrows heavily from a syncretic mix of world reglions, most notably Buddhism and Christianity. But the overarching themes of the film are definitely Christian. But beyond this, the film is a technical masterpiece. The visual effects are stunning. In fifty years time, I think the Matrix will be looked upon as one of those seminal works that changed the way movies are made.

Summary: Special effects, comedy, drama, unbelievable!
Review: Very simply put if you feel like you are in touch with "reality" you need to see this movie. It is the best special effects movie of all time...no...it is the best movie of all time. This movie should replace your old favorite sci-fi movie easily...even if your favorite movie is Star Wars. George Lucas beware the future of sci-fi is here and their name is Wachowski.

Summary: There is no spoon. . .
Review: Very thought provoking movie. It was really great and I loved the special effects. I suggest that everyone watch as Thomas Anderson (Neo) exits the world of The Matrix and begins to understand who he really is. Can't wait for the sequels.
