Summary: It's terrific!
Review: It's a very good movie. It gets better with repeats. You notice more details the second time.

It's about this guy whose the Chosen One. He will be the one to free the humans from the evil robots. He didn't just get his special powers; he had to work for it. You know how you always want main characters to have special powers and be really special? Well, you get your wish here. I love the end. He destroy the bad guys and they were so surprise. I'm not going to tell you how he did it. You're just going to have to watch it. It was sad that a few of the good guys died, but the really important characters did not so don't worry. I think the movie had quite a bit of action so action fans should be please.

Hope this review helped you.

Summary: I'm not sure why this movie blows everyone away...
Review: It's an interesting flick with a thoughtful premise - artificial intelligence gone wild and the physicality of real life is not at all what it appears to be.

It is a movie that makes you think and I did enjoy much of it.

However, perhaps I didn't get the deeper message of "The Matrix."

Haven't we all had that feeling that life is more of a mental experience than a physical one? That physical life is downright puzzling at times? What proof do we have of our own existence, outside of our five senses? If this movie is the medium that gets everyone to thinking these deep thoughts, then I suppose it's a good thing.

Einstein said many years ago "To those of us who are committed physicists, the past, present and future (ie: mortal limitations?) are only illusion, however persistent."

And one of those good old philosophers (maybe Kant?) said, in substance, "if I fall asleep and dream that I'm warming myself in front of a fire, the whole experience seems to be completely real. How am I to know what is real and what is the dream?" (my paraphrase)

Perhaps this movie is simply the vehicle that gets the young folks asking the deep questions the philosophers have pondered for centuries.

I found this movie kind of so-so, myself. A strong 3, but not much more. Fisburne's acting was exemplary, but he's one of my faves, anyway.

The violence and graphic depictions (such as the de-bugging) pretty well grossed me out.

Summary: The ultimate "guy movie." Must see for everyone!!!!!
Review: It's been about 4 months since I saw the Matrix. I'm probably a little prejudiced towards loving this film, probably because of the fact that I love watching Keanu Reeves in cyberpunk flicks. I was hoping this wouldn't be a let down, and it wasn't. This has it all. Awesome special effects, beautiful eye candy *I love you Trinity* Plus, killing cast members to advance the plot. I applaud the Wachowski brothers effort to make the ultimate movie that bears repeated watchings. In my mind, they have done so.

A killer script, great casting, and a throw in the kitchen sink approach make Matrix one of the most enjoyable sci-fi movies since the genre was born. Compared to this, Star Wars Episode 1 was a pedestrian yawner.

Last, to women who review this movie, and thought it sucked, the Matrix is not for you. Go watch some weepy chick flick with Sally Field, and stay away from good action films. If this statement ticks you off, good. Email me, and feel free to call me a sexist pig. I'm not, I'm just being honest. I don't see movies with Sandra Bullock because I know I'll fall asleep and it'll be a waste of my money. I feel that women should realize that just because they go to a film just to stare at an actor for two hours, doesn't mean that people like me do that too. I go to be entertained, and to be enlightened. I hate lame films, and will not be dragged to them.

What else.... Don't make more Matrix movies unless you get Keanu to do them. It won't work without him, this is the role he was made for.

Bryant out.

Summary: I was overwhelmed
Review: It's been awhile since I've seen the movie so I'm not going to comment on specifics. My review is for someone who hasn't seen this movie, if there is anyone.

This movie overwhelmed me in how awesome it was. I hadn't read hardly any reviews but had seen the commercials that asked "What is the Matrix." So, watching the movie, I was curious. Then I saw that his wasn't just another average science fiction movie. The special effects were awesome, the story was creative and thought provoking, and the acting was pretty good.

This ground breaking movie totally blew away my expectations and that's hard to do these days when it is so easy to find out everything about movies before they even come out.

Summary: best overall movie I've seen in a LONG time
Review: it's billed as an action movie, but it touches much much deeper than that. it is a religious, philosophical, slightly comedic, slightly romantic, conspiracy theory movie that just happens to have some of the best special effects and action shots I've ever seen. It's the ONLY movie I've ever seen that tries to do everything and succeeds. The imagination of the creators is incredible... and there are supposed to be two more in a series. If you haven't seen it, you have to.

Summary: The Matrix simply the best science fiction movie of the 90's
Review: It's definnaly a chalenge for all the movie makers out there to make a better movie than this one. But who knows may be they will (not).

Summary: More to it than meets the eye.
Review: It's difficult to review this film without being guilty of quoting a plethora of superlatives. So were does one start? Firstly, and I think most significantly, there is more to this movie than meets the eye. This movie teases the viewer with possible new insights into various philosophical questions facing the human race. "Oh sure, you don't actually believe this stuff, do you?" That's not the point really. What The Matrix does, in addition to giving us an entertainment masterpiece, is nudge our subconscious, and consciously or not, make us pause and think about what this game of life is all about. How many of us have watched this movie more than once, and just don't get sick of it. It's engrossing all right, and I'm suggesting it's not just as a result of the entertainment factor. Well done to the Wachowski brothers. 5 out of 5 on that score. So your not sold on this analysis? No problem, lets get back to something easier on the mind, superlatives. Special effects, first rate with some groundbreaking stuff in their. Stuntwork, simply wicked. Acting, all round excellence from the cast. Music score, very appropriate. Script, way out. Action, non stop really and as a bonus the slower scenes are still absorbing. DVD extras, very good. Replayability, unlimited. If you can only ever afford to buy one DVD title in your life, this is it.

Summary: Unquestionably one of the best movies ever made!!!
Review: It's extremely rare to find a movie that has both revolutionary special effects and a mind-boggling plot. However, I have found that movie and it is called the Matrix. The special effects are incredible! They went as far as to have a company in California develope a special effect called "Bullet Time Technology"! It gives the appearance that the actors are actually faster than bullets. The plot is riveting! Their are hidden themes and symbols deeply integrated within the movie. The movie would still be spectacular without the special effects! The plot is that good. Lastly I appload the movie for the fact that they actually trained the actors in a martial art for six months prior to filming the movie. The actors actually did a large amount of their own stunts adding the realism of the movie. This movie will blow you away and provide a mouth-watering feast for the senses! It's definetely one that you could watch repeatedly!
