Summary: An Eye Opener
Review: An excellent film. Very original. The film is so fictinal it's real. I was mezmorized the first scene I saw. Not a well known fact. They cut a scene where Nova is pregnant. Really. Buy it, it's cool

Summary: A true all time classic!!!!
Review: This movie epitomized everything that was happening during the 60's and early 70's. To the reviewer from Canada--The threat of nuclear war,a government that wouldn't listen to it's people and was afraid of it's youth's changing logic, and the ongoing Vietnam war. If you think the movie made you frustrated and sick you can imagine what it felt like to live thru that era.

Review: This movie is valuable as an advertisement for the brilliant novel of the same title (that is, of the same title in English translation--it was originally published in English as "Monkey Planet"). It has no other value. Charleton Heston is pathetic (as always) in the lead.

Summary: RODDY MCDOWALL AND CHARLTON HESTON AT THEIR BEST
Review: THIS WAS A GREAT MOVIE! The film had great stars like Charlton Heston, Roddy McDowall and Kim Hunter. The film formed 4 sequels, two TV Shows and Fox's making a remake now. BUY THIS, YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

Summary: The best five movie collection ever!
Review: The Planet of the Ape series is one of the best movie collections of all time. Of course the first one is the best as Charlton Heston rules the stage, but the rest are good to. The movies leave you on the edge until the climatic finish. Awesome.

Summary: This movie was awesome!
Review: Planet of the Apes is a fantastic movie, and the content is very interesting, and fun! Charlton Heston (Taylor) does a very good job of acting, and puts a lot of interest into the movie. But my personal favorite is Roddy Mcdowall (Cornelius) he just makes the movie, and does an exellent job of acting under the ape make-up, and he is the life of the movie!

Summary: I WAS HOME ALL ALONG!!!!!
Review: Planet of the Apes is where it all started for me as a 12 year who fell in Love with those loveable chimps! They are so life like and they did a spendid job on the makeup. Roddy McDowall,Charlton Heston,Kim Hunter and Maurice Evans who by the way played Sam's father on Bewitched all did a wonderful job at bringing each personality to life! Cornilus is my favorite and R.M. is such a cutie with or without his makeup the twinkle in his eyes shines through!!!! Roddy,I will allways Love You! Love, Anna Marie

Summary: Classic true and true
Review: Born in 1968 I was a planet of the apes fanatic as a child. I recently viewed this movie again as a 30 year old and it is even more phenomenal. The social commentary on hunting as well as the debates on evolution vs creation are very well written. Charlton Heston is awesome. "Get your hands off me you ... ape" and the "Damn you..." lines are classics!

Summary: A cinematic materpiece...
Review: Rod Serling at his best. You can see his imprint all over the story.

Now that the series has been released in Letterbox, it can be appreaciated in it's original glory... As it was intended.. I have to say the tribunal scene is one of those scenes that has a far greater impact when seen in letterbox...

One of my favorite films..

Rating: 5 stars
