Summary: What's the point?
Review: I enjoyed the first MATRIX. It was VERY overrated, but still pretty good. I went into this movie expecting the worst, and, thankfully, it WAS marginally entertaining. The 'Agent Smith' fight is the best part. There was too much ham-handed philosophy spread throughout. The entire section in Zion should have been cut out. If it weren't in the film, I probably would have given it about 4 stars. But Zion sunk the film. I almost fell asleep during that infinitely long half hour...Hopefully the third will be better...

Summary: YOU DID IT AGAIN WACHOWSKI BROS!!!
Review: this movie kicks ...!!! The visual effects were AMAZING the characters were better than ever and the fight scenes are the better than I've seen in any movie, Neo was superman, well the rest speaks for its self .Its well worth seeing in my opinion its BETTER than the first one!!!

Summary: Original Matrix can be (and has been) beaten
Review: I just watched this movie today, after 4 years of waiting I reckon the time on the making was well worth it. See, it's not the new visual FX, or the fact that Smith turned from agent to virus (and that it exists in the "real" world now), or that we got to see Zion, the excellent soundtrack, Monica Belucci in that white dress (sigh...) or stuff like that. It's the whole philosophical basis and structure that makes the Matrix series a must see for people who well... like sci-fi. Being myself a technocrat, I consider the Matrix a milestone in the way I perceive technology, so, besides from being an excellent movie with awesome FX and a philosophical basis (I liked the part when Neo meets the Architect, although some people may have already gotten lost by this point), it's somehow a reminder that we mustn't be too attached to technology, or it'll someday turn back on us. Oh, as a suggestion, before running to the theater to watch this one, watch the first Matrix, then "The Final Flight of the Osiris" first. It'll provide a basis for the beginning of the movie, and I'm sure you'll like the CG Animation of the last one.

Summary: A Great Movie
Review: What to say! The Matrix was a great movie that introduced interesting new ideas. The Matrix Reloaded was equally as good, if not better. The action, The monologue, The philosophy... To hate this movie, is to not understand it. The only disappointment is that we have to wait until November for the conclusion. I saw this movie twice already and both times the movie filled me with extreme pleasure. It's nice to be able to enjoy the Movies again after so many disappointments!!

Summary: It's everything you can expect!
Review: After waiting this long to view the 2nd part of The Matrix I was amazed with this sequel. Great camera effects, excellent theatrical stunts, and outstanding screening. Probably if you are not a Matrix fan, you would like the first one better but, if you are not convinced on this 2nd part I invite you to watch it another time. This kind of movie is best appreciated if you pay attention a second or even a third time.

Review: This movie was just too long. There was MUCH extraneous material that could have been cut with absolutely NO detriment to the actual "meat" of the movie. Badly done compared with the first.

Summary: You people have got to be kidding me!!!
Review: As with anything popular comes the anti-fans. Yep that's right the haters. There's a difference between hating and disliking. But it seems like people are hating the film for what it's based on. Action and fighting scenes and the philosophy involved...this portion alone is what sets it apart from other films...not the acting...and not the story (although it also distances this film from others). Putting on your thinking cap instead of zoning out would help those unable to understand. If you didn't understand what went on in the first Matrix film, then forget about seeing the sequel. Now we have systems malfunctioning, systems duplicating themselves, and systems overriding each other; all within the Matrix mainframe. The objective is for Neo to infiltrate the mainframe and destroy it from within. To get to the mainframe he needs the Keymaker who is being held prisoner within the Matrix. Easier said than done...in the real world the machines are hunting the city of Zion ( the base for the freed minds) and time is limited. Neo also has to deal with Agent Smith who has found a way to duplicate himself as well as protect the city of Zion. The machines have set many countersystems to try and prevent Neo from saving Zion. ( you'll find out who or what is a system inserted to keep humans in line). There are complaints about the length of the movie but the first one was just as long. Walking contradictions...I tell ya. Longer fight scenes? No. There are just more of them and more going on during the fight scenes. Neo's fight with Smith in the first one was just as long as Neo's fight with Smith ( and his countless clones ) in Reloaded. There's just more going on at one time and your eyes may get tired trying to keep up. But hey...I'm an action man and can catch these types of things quicker than another person. Also the chase scene was very excellent introducing those ghost things...those were some amazing foes. There was one scene terribly awful though and many others have mentioned it. That is that love scene; it was inserted with no point and could have been completely deleted...it was pointless and had nothing to do with the movie. ( probably the point where most people bashing the film got disgusted and disinterested...but keep watching the movie!) Besides that this is a great movie and you know it. It ends on a note of 'What's next' and definitely set up the third and final installment in the Matrix. ( You KNOW you want to go see the third one...DON'T FRONT!) I won't ramble on too long...but my advice...see the movie and don't try to look for mistakes. Just enjoy. Just as good as the first film.

Summary: A kick-@*#$ thrill-ride with a side-order of philosophy
Review: This film is a very fitting sequel to its' predecessor. The action scenes are awe-inspiring and cinematic ground-breaking events. There is a highway chase scene which lasts a full 10 minutes and left me catching my breath when it was over. Additionally, there are more than enough martial-arts fights to satiate the most hard core Bruce Lee fan. Where this film takes the next step in rising above simply being a kung-fu butt-kicking film is the blending of varying schools of philosophical thought in with its' action. I would have never thought that someone could sit me in a theatre to watch a film with a run time of roughly a little over two hours in which concepts of what is reality, causality, as well as fate, destiny and messiahism would be examined and I would come out entertained. I did. This movie manages to keep you entertained while at the same time engaging in discussions about some heady subject matter, (makes one wonder why PBS doesn't take a page out of this book for some of their programming). What I find amazing is those critics who actually dislike the film because it raises more questions. I found the movie did answer some questions, and, yes, it did raise new ones. However, rather than being a fault, I found this to be a highly engaging feature of the movie. It left me pining for the month of November to get here, (when the next installment is due out). I came out of this movie entertained with my vision and view of the world broadened a little. I'm not sure one could ask for, or expect more from a mainstream movie.

Review: Physically beautiful, achingly mesmerizing, supremely exciting and yet sometimes confounding incoherent," The Matrix Reloaded" episode number two in the Matrix trilogy arrives. In many ways it reminds me of "The Lord of the Rings" in that it glistens with surface beauty but if you look closer and listen harder you're likely to see and hear the Wizard behind the curtain.
Nonetheless, the Wachowski Brothers have directed with enough pizzazz to quiet, albeit with a sledgehammer, all the nay Sayers. And with Carrie-Anne Moss, Monica Belucci and Keanu Reeves to look at, who's going to argue with that?
