Summary: intriguing . . . yet disappointing
Review: i found this film to be extraodinarily intricate and fascinating, yet the motivation of the character of Vincent to enter and conform to the tenets of a corrupt society are somewhat disheartening. although this is perhaps a realistic slant to the story, it seems to undermine the overall conceit of the film, which is the critique of the desire to acquire perfection.

Summary: A great story, music, sci-fi
Review: This is a little different type of sci-fi. I like action films but this is a low key aspect of this one. Mostly it is the story, concept, music, visuals and for some an inspiring movie. For the short sighted, you make think it a dreary concept of the future. The movie portrays courage, determination and the will to overcome all obstacles; dispite what others tell you. Things that some of the critics no nothing about. Concepts that you rarely hear about today. It reminds me of one of my favorite sayings "A man is never beaten until he believes it." It is a story of a man who succeeds despite his critics.

Summary: This Movie Should Be In Everyone's Home
Review: This is one of my most favorite movies! It brings you inside of a fantasy world, that is actually possible, but just not to the same extreme as the movie brought it. As the news the other day or week brought out that scientists have found a gene linked to how long you can possibly live. I found this movie so interesting that I usually end up watching it two times or more in a row. The director Andrew M. Niccol did a wonderful job making this movie, and also Ethan Hawke played a great role. All I have left to say now is, BUY THIS MOVIE!!!

Review: Well, certainly, this is one of that rearest films you can watch nowadays. And what is the greatest features of it, is that we can meet all this in the nearest future...rather scaring, frankly. Can you imagine, that you or your future friend will be born out to this world out of the test-tube? I can't...Strange thing: while watching this, from one hand movie about the future, you feel the 70's-80's. You hear classics, see the old cars (working on the electric power..hehe) and the men and women, wearing the clothes of that time. Anyway, this film is worth buying and it will be on the shelf of your favourite films, belive me.

Summary: INTERESTING AND BRILLIANT!
Review: In this times of exploding aliens and senseless violence, is good to see a futuristic movie with a brain. Ethan Hawke plays a genetically inferior citizen who dreams to someday travel to space. But in a society that praises perfection , only those with the right genes can make their dreams come true. Ethan,s character proves he has the intelligence needed to be a part of the elite society of the genetically superior, when he comes up with a plan to get a job at the corporation that selects the ones that will journey out to space. This is a thriller,a whodunit,and a romance all rolled up together. Is a bout trying to fit in for the right reasons, and about reaching one's goals. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: IT WAS PRETTY SCARY.........
Review: ...........How realistic this movie is. It doesn't go into a farfetched future where you say "wow that would be cool, or that sucks". Sort of like Fifth Element or Judge Dredd, Those movies not only sucked but you really did not care what happened to the characters because it was a sci-fi movie. Gattaca is NOT like that. It takes place in a future not to distant where everything that happens is very damn possible within the next 50-100 years. So you sit there in disbelief at how *f'd* up that future is. I think this movie deserves to be seen by everyone with any type of intelligence to understand where our society is going.

Summary: The Best Movie I've seen
Review: Can you believe the guy who wrote this story also wrote "The Truman Show"? Gattaca is an absolute masterpiece in story, photography, and especially music. Despite this, I had never heard of it until a freind recommended it. The Truman show is just a big pile of horse dung. Hyped to the extreme, this movie was absolutely unoriginal and boring. They were mentioning Truman Show around Oscar time, and I felt physically ill. Buy Gattaca and see it and think about it and understand how science fiction should always be written. Buy Truman show and watch as it collects dust.

Summary: Great movie... but it took so long to come out
Review: I think that Gattica had a great plot and was very realistic. Unlike some science fiction films which are very unrealistic. I don't like movies where you can spot the benting of the laws of phisics (no I am NOT a nerd its just annoying) also it wasn't about space wars it was a underprivleged person who does what he can to accomplish his dream. The only falt I had with the movie is that it took 2 years to make it for sale.

The filming was great eye candy -- the perspective and setting was different, stunning, and great to watch. A wonderful thing to see, a fascinating thing to think about.....LOVED IT!!!
